Ethan can't go on one mission without dying at least once. The fact that he always comes back, though, probably proves that not only cats have more than one life. Will's never been the cat sort of man but he does appreciate this character trait on Ethan because the next time he returns from the dead, Will's going to either kill him or, finally, kiss him. Then Will gets injured...

This is just a one off story I came up with involving a child Buck Wilmington and how he may have come under the care of a gambler with a gold heart to match his tooth and a Texan with a heart as big as his home state. You may want to have some tissues handy... I'm just saying. No Slash.
