This was the very first fanfic that Ive ever read, and when I come back to it now 9 years later I can truly appreciate the quality and language, and also reminisce on the past when I’d spend hours reading this. Good times!

I return to this story every few years it seems. I first read it 5 years ago now. It’s my definitive characterization of Vegeta. You truly made something special that I’ll treasure forever.

This was a really good story and I really enjoyed it. Sometimes on certain parts I have to put my phone down and breathe in and out Bc of how scared and nervous I was Lmaoo.

Looking at this in hindsight, I kinda feel bad for Yamcha. Don't get me wrong, he definitely should NOT be with Bulma and Vegeta definitely SHOULD, but it would be terrible losing someone as smart and special as Bulma. That would be painful. Not to mention he's visiting CC and is the odd one out, knowing that the other 3 residents are WAAAY stronger than him and could end him at the moment of their choosing.

In that situation, it's best to just let go and pursue your own life, in order to avoid all the abjection, distress and shame. But that is eventually what happens... so yeah. Very well written!

Hi. I am reading this story about 4 days ago. I love it, it has a very good idea and I loved the first chapters in which Vegeta lived with the Briefs family.
but I hadn't left you an answer ... until now. I personally believe that this was the best chapter in history at least before the previous chapters. I felt and lived the despair of the claustrophobia that Vegeta suffered. And I think your theory of saiyan society is very solid.
Simply excellent, I will continue reading until reaching the end. I have many expectations but few ideas of how it could end, you are impressively unpredictable.

This has been the best fan-fiction I’ve ever read and I’ve read hundreds. My favorite chapter has to be when Vegeta and bulma finally got together and they had the little lemon stuff. Their emotions were so real it made my own heart skip beats . When you wrote through Vegeta’s abusive encounters with Freezia... I literally cried tears of hatred and sadness over it because I was so absorbed in the reading and emotion of this story. This fanfic was so well put together just like a real book you’d find on a shelf it was so well done and I’m so glad I read all the way to the end. I hope you keep writing because you really have a talent! I highly recommended this story to anyone who like dbz. It beholds romance action suspense and ever horror. Well done and thank you for writing this!

Okay, so, respectfully, I have two issues with this chapter.

1) I was under the impression, and I thought it had actually been stated earlier in your own story, that those who die are brought back to life where they died. Which means Chi Chi would have been brought back to life on Earth, regardless of which dragon balls were used, unless they used one of the wishes to bring her to Namek.

2) I understand that Vegeta is struggling with the idea of "peace" and probably some heavy PTSD allong with that, so that's why he wants to be proactive and go out to defeat the Cold Empire before they can get to Earth. However, that is absolutely atrocious strategy on his part and Nappa's part. It makes zero sense to traipse about the entire universe looking for these remnants when the simple solution, if the slightly frustrating one, is to just wait on Earth for the enemy to come to them. It may seem a bit risky to have the battlefield be Earth or Earth's outer atmosphere, however it's far more dangerous to leave the planet relatively defenseless (I know some warriors were left behind, but not the strongest). It would have been relatively simple for King Cold or Cooler to get the same idea as our heroes and go attack Earth while they were away, either to lure them out or to take revenge for all the trouble they caused. Not only that, it was incredible drain on resources and time to spend time traveling the entire vastness of the universe looking for the enemies when, before leaving, they knew of one spot they'd be sure to show up.
I guess I'm trying to say that even though Vegeta has his issues and he's developed slightly uniquely to canon (which is fine) I still find it extremely out of character and inefficient for him to have decided to go after the Cold Empire rather than let them come to him. Especially as he doesn't really give a fig about other planets (or really even Earth, as stated in this chapter) so it's not like he was trying to prevent the Empire from doing the same thing to other planets that they did to Vegeta-sei or even like he was all that worried about Earth aside from the fact that Bulma cares.

In other news, thank you very much for all the effort and time you've clearly put into this story and thank you for sharing it with all of us.
The pacing definitely picked up around chapter 38 and it was an exciting ride!

Oh man, so confused. Lol, I'm the kind who usually skips filler, so I actually had to go look up these characters to get a better understanding of who they are and why the heck they even appeared.

Also, part of this chapter (or the last one) made me a bit sad because I realized with no Gero there's no Android 18 and then no lovely wife for poor Krillin. :/ He always seems to get the short end of the stick in canon, too. :'(

is that a mix of Henrietta Lacks and Carl Sagan, or am I completely barking up the wrong tree?
