I'm Joanna. I write a lot. Sometimes too much. Case in point: This profile.

I am a creative writer. I wrote my first poem at age five and my first short story at ten. My first "novel" was written at 13. My niche is superhumans, psionics, psychics, magic practitioners, modern witchcraft, and turning magic into science and art.

I'm very shy and quiet until I'm comfortable with you.

I often am weak and uncertain but I've been called a steel magnolia. (I love magnolias.)

I have cerebral palsy (left side, spastic and ataxic). I also have temporal lobe epilepsy, fibromyalgia, dyspraxia, asthma, social anxiety, generalized anxiety, social phobia, Raynaud's Syndrome, migraine disorder, joint pain, lordosis, ADD, OCD, and various other small diagnoses. I'm recovering from anorexia. I am autistic, diagnosed as an adult.

I was born three months prematurely, which led to the cerebral palsy and a few other unfortunate conditions like seizures, asthma, chronic pain, learning problems, and "cognitive twitches." I was born very well-developed despite weighing under two pounds.

I am a polytheist polyagnostic pantheist eclectic witch. My god figure is the entire universe and other universes beyond. I imagine that gods come from other universes and are realized, solidified, and born through the human mind. I am empathic. I've had premonitions. I believe in past lives. I am highly sensitive to spirits and quantum energy. I like to search for the reality behind the claims, and if I can't find any, I accept my own experiences as real for me. I accept everyone's opinions and beliefs as their own and I try not to be biased. You can believe whatever you want as long as you don't try and force it on me.

I try to keep my political views private and personal. I consider myself a Centrist or Moderate. I have both liberal views and conservative views. I don't belong to any political parties. I try to remain neutral about many things. I am pro-choice, pro-gun, pro-death penalty, pro-gay, pro-genderqueer. I would have an abortion if I wasn't ready for pregnancy, and in fact I am actually phobic about getting pregnant. I support animal testing in medicine and health, but not cosmetics. I prefer small government and I support state rights. I do not want the federal government forcing me to do anything. I support my country and my military. I try to be natural, but I don't want an organic-only world. I think meat is delicious, but I'd rather eat it without additives.

One of my biggest pet peeves is when someone from one end of the political spectrum makes negative, insulting, sweeping generalizations about people from another end of the political spectrum. Every rule has exceptions, and not everyone shares the same views.

I am studying holistic health care and skin care, and I am fascinated by natural remedies in general. I am also fascinated by psychology, philosophy, art, aesthetics, anthropology, biology, biochemistry, neurology, and parapsychology.

Update January 2017: The amazing "No Guns Only Roses" who writes fantastic emotionally deep stories, is an artist and huge fan of my fic "Cold Fire Rising" so she drew some wonderful art for it. Go find my Tumblr, which is under this username.

Edit: In my all Ninja Turtles fanfiction, Michelangelo is both ADHD-I and autistic and prone to episodes of clinical depression, particularly his Nick 2012 incarnation. He is also slightly psychic, particularly empathic and highly sensitive to the world.

ETA April 2017: In the 2016 TMNT Universal Fanfiction Competition, my story “Cold Fire Rising” is nominated twice in the Mature Ballot (for “Most Spot-On Michelangelo” and “Most Interesting OC - Hecate”, which still makes me giggle) and my story “Cold Fire Rising - Crossfire” is nominated for “Most Interesting Crossover” (which can’t be understood unless CFR is read anyway, wow). My story “Water And Oxygen: The Flow And Existence” is nominated in the General Ballot (for” Most-In Character Leonardo”, which still shocks me). It’s the fifth story in the “Mikey The Lifegiver Series but each can sort of be read on their own.
