"I say it was a break up."

"Raph, this is Mikey we're talking about and we're turtles. We know two humans, two," Donnie said holding two fingers to show his point.

"And?" Raph said.

"April and Mikey were never a thing," Donnie said crossing that line off. Raph stare. "Nor was Mikey and Casey a thing. I don't care if Mikey was interest in men at all, but if he was, I can tell you that Casey would not be alive if he dared date my brother."

Donnie brought out his Bo-Staff and frowned at the thought wanting to smash Jones in the head if he ever did have any sort of intention like that with his baby brother, at all. Mikey was too pure and Casey wasn't pure in Donnie mind and there for Casey would not be allowed near his baby brother, if Donnie had anything to say about the matter.

"Beside this is Mikey we are talking about," Leo chipped in. "I don't think Mikey has that sort of interest in mind."

"We know three humans, the third one if you want to count Karai," Raph said.

"I highly doubt it was Karai," Leo said.

"If it was, I would end her to," Donnie said seriously. Both older brothers slightly concern about Donnie protective side.

Leo patted Donnie on the shoulder trying to calm him down.

"That's nice Donnie," he said supportively.

"Fine, if it isn't a break up then what's causing Mikey to be madder then," Raph paused.

"Madder than you on a good day," Donnie added helpfully.

Raph face went red and looked ready to punch Donnie in the face there and then before huffing and turning his shell on his brother. Don and Leo exchanged glances.

"Wow Raph, that's a record," Leo said. "No insults, no chasing anyone around the lair. No breaking anything. What's gotten into you?"

Raph mumbled something Donnie and Leo got closer to hear him. The two brothers had been joking at this point, anything they could to do to lighten the thick tension in the lair these days.

"I said," Raph turned around and started to yell. "You don't need two hot headed turtles in this family!"

Leo and Don, we're both sure they almost flew backwards at the sound of their brother voice, since both are pretty sure their feet almost lifted off the ground. Raph panted after his rant.

"We know Raph," Leo said.

In the background Donnie was cleaning his ear with his finger, slightly concern for hearing the ringing sound.

"And, I'm pretty proud of you for trying to control it."

They really didn't need two upset turtles in the family at the moment.

"I want Mikey back the happy one. The one that didn't have a problem with being happy and not this thing that replaced him."

"He's still Mikey, Raph," Don said. "Granted, a very mad and an upset Mikey for reasons none of us know why but still Mikey."

"Which is why we're here talking about it. Come on you two, surely one of you know what could possibly have happened for Mikey to end up like this?" Leo asked looking at his brothers.

"I said I don't want to talk about it!"

The three of them jumped at the voice. An angry voice coming from the distance and a slam door. They should be used to it by now, Mikey been like this for a whole week a ticking bomb ready to go off and when it does, nobody wanted to be near it. Both Kraang and the Foot had made extra steps to do everything they could to avoid the youngest. Not only was his mood in a state of anger, but his attacks had been ten times more powerful than normal. Kicking all of his brothers in training and even going one on one with Master Splinter and coming out of it like nothing happened.

This was a Mikey that his brothers had always wanted.

A Mikey more focus, less distracted and serious all at one, but in saying so his happiness seemed to have died a week ago. It's replacement a ticked of Mikey that didn't seem to care about anyone or anything that got in his way, his older brothers didn't even seem, to be Mikey concern anymore. They've been thinking back on what could possible had happened for Mikey to end up like this and how to start it. All three of them running away from the youngest in the process, for their own safety and to their shame their own fear.

Master Splinter walked into the pit the old rat seemed so much older than he normally was. It was hard for him as will to see his youngest son in such a state and no matter what he could think of, just didn't seem to do anything for the youngest. To bring back the much-needed light that the family needed, to bring back the heart, but sometimes even light can turn dark and even the heart can be blocked by hater, twisting it and turning it into something the same, yet very different.

"How did it go?" Leo asked.

"The same as normal my son. Michelangelo had refused to answer any of my questions before he had finally had enough and yelled, he is currently resting in his room."

"That's it," Raph said tossing up his arms. "I've had it. I'm going to go in there and kick some sense into him if I have to."

"Raph don't you only make it worse," Leo tried to reason.

"I don't care Leo. Anything better than this. Whoever said silence was golden was a nut job because the silence is seriously killing me and so, is seeing my baby brother like this. So, either stand down Leo or I'll take you out to." Raph threatened.

Leo back down and watched his brother storm off into Mikey room.

"Three seconds."

"Three seconds until what Donnie?"

"Three seconds until Raph is defeat Leo. Starting now."

The family watched from a distance as Raph opened up the door and started throwing insults, which used to work on a happy Mikey as Donnie counted.

"Three," Donnie said.

Raph mentioned something about Mikey being a screw up.

"Two."

Mikey was seen in his doorway frowning at his older brother. In a speed that both brothers had barely been able to keep track of, Raph was sent into the wall and Mikey slammed the door shut.

"Huh I was wrong," Donnie said. "That was two seconds."

Leo face palmed despite the situation Master Splinter had let out a small chuckle before moving towards Raphael and checking on the second oldest child.

Donnie had learned later that day half of his inventions had been created by Michelangelo and not him. Donnie didn't handle this new found information at all, very well.

"This isn't right, surely I did something. Right?"

Donnie looked down at the list in front of him.

All past inventions a list that had been a brilliant success and a list that had failed. He did come up with something he came up with the failed ones. Apparently, anything his brain had come up with had all failed or just didn't end up like he had intended them to be while the others had been a success, but they all had been Mikey idea. Mikey, whom still had trouble spelling and needed his brothers to help him understand words from his comic book. This couldn't be right.

Donnie double checked his list and scream in horror.

"I've failed. I've failed, everything I touched ended up as an awful mistake. Or, parts ending up for something that was a success, but those success had been ideas Mikey had come up with. Mikey."

That was unfair, and almost hurtful. Was Donnie some sort of printed? Just someone to make something on another behalf.

"Master Splinter," Donnie said.

He come out of a halt as he ran out of his lab and noticed a paralyze Mikey standing in his place as Master Splinter stood tugging at his beard.

"My son."

"What happened to Mikey?" Donnie asked slightly concern.

"Your brother anger had gotten a little overwhelming causing some issues."

Donnie looked behind Mikey and noticed the pit was in pieces the television, the couch, almost everything had been destroyed. Leo and Raph are currently cleaning the mess up.

"Donatello what seems to be the issue my son?"

All, right he had been going through a life changing event.

"Am I just a tool?"

"I big your pardon?"

Donnie was sure Mikey eyes had darted to him and he was sure a hint of concern was in those baby blues, a far cry from the anger that Donnie had been dealing with for a week.

"Pressure point that's what you did with Mikey isn't it?"

"Indeed, now back to your question."

"Right, will I asked because I've been having a hard time coming up with anything new and I thought it might have been because of the stressful situation we've had."

Donnie pretty sure Mikey wasn't going to stay paralyze forever and it was quickly going away, allowing Mikey to be in full control of his body.

"Anyway, it turns out Mikey had actually come up with half of my inventions and they all seem to work. I mean I know he always named them, but he even had the ideas for them. And, the ones that I had failed."

"You and your brother are two side of the same coin my son. You are not a tool, just the other half. Michelangelo genius does not occur in the same area as you."

Donnie didn't think his baby brother should be called a genius at all, but he knew better than to say that out loud.

"Nor does your own genius occur in the same area as his. You are very good when it comes to fixing and making things my son, but Michelangelo creative is what makes it all tick."

Donnie didn't understand any of that and Mikey was free his eyes gone white and he looked like a kettle ready to pop.

"Hey Mikey, how you been bud," Donnie said. Holding back his fear.

Mikey glared at him and Donnie was pretty sure he almost had a heart attack like there and then. Huh, who says one can't die from looks alone? Mikey seemed to be holding himself back and Master Splinter was ready to jump in if needed to. Mikey turned around smashing the wall instead the family flinch at the sight as a hole was left in its place and Mikey stormed out.

Donnie wanted to check his baby brother hand to make sure it wasn't broken or hurt, but he knew going up to Mikey as of this moment was worst then facing the Shredder alone. So, Donnie stay put. Looking at his list that seemed less important Donnie was starting to wish Mikey was back to normal, back to his old self once again. So, what if Donnie ideas had been awful in the past it didn't matter anymore, not now. What matter was his baby brother and Donnie promised that they will fix this.

They will make whatever pain Mikey has go away and take away that anger inside the youngest, just so they can have their baby brother back. Beside Donnie had a great idea, if Mikey was brilliant with coming up ideas then maybe Mikey could help around the lair and who knows. Donnie might even teach him a thing or two in medicine and first aid, this way the healing didn't always thus upon him. He will think about those plans later, right now he had another list to make. A list on the possible reasons on what could cause Mikey anger and how to fix it. With this in mind, Donnie left the room and went back to his lab.

The idea popped into Leo head when he was dreaming.

He normally didn't remember his dreams aside from the nightmares about his baby brothers being killed and the occasional Captain Ryan dreams. So, when none of those ideas seem to have happened and Leo got the idea his dream self was a little shock by it. Shock to the point that Leo wakes up in the middle of the night, stumbled out of bed, landing face first, very poorly and not at all graceful before darting to his baby brother room. Waking Mikey up at any point of day in this state was never a good idea.

Since the last time anyone dare too Mikey had missed their face, while punching in his sleep, but this needed to end now and Leo knew how to end it and there for Leo was going to end it. You know, once he opened Mikey door and turn the door knob. His little brother room was often open, but this was a different Mikey that the turtles we're dealing with a Mikey that didn't want to be bothered by any of them. A Mikey whom seemed almost embarrassed to even call them family whenever out fighting bad guys, a part of Leo mind still reminded him that Mikey was still his baby brother. Just a baby brother dealing with some personal issues and closing them off in the process.

Will no more, because Leo remembered he remembered what had caused this and now he knew how to fix it. Fix it he shall.

"Mikey," he said as he opened the door a little.

Mikey wasn't sleeping he should have been, but he wasn't. Mikey seemed to have been lost in space sitting on the edge of his bed and staring at the mess that was Mikey floor. Leo really wanted to clean it up, but that would never do right now. Leo walked towards Mikey.

"Hey otouto. I'm really sorry for saying you weren't good enough to be my own brother."

Mikey moved and glared at him.

A week ago, they had almost lost Mikey to a Foot fight. Looking back, it wasn't Mikey fault on why it occurred. Leo had been both worried and mad at the same time which caused him to lecture Mikey the moment the youngest had woken up on Donnie cot. Even the new scar where the blade had ripped opened his baby brother green skin was still on Mikey arm. A reminded of what Leo had said.

No brother of mine would have been that careless as you'd had been Michelangelo. Mine would have actually focus and train more often.

Had been Leo words and the worst part, Leo remembered Mikey words.

What are you saying Leo that I'm not even good enough to be your brother?

That's exactly what I'm saying you are not good enough to be my brother at all.

The strange act Mikey had pulled soon after getting colder and colder by the day before his anger had taken over. This Mikey was everything Leo and even the others had wanted, a more seriously baby brother. Leo supposed that old saying was true. You don't know what you have until it's gone.

"I really am. I was worried and mad Mikey we almost lost you that day."

The amount of blood Mikey had lost flashback into Leo mind. The shock the three of them had felt once they noticed their baby brother had gone down and didn't appear to stand back up. Mikey heart had even stop until Donnie did CPR saving their baby brother life in the process. Mikey could have died that day and Leo didn't like to think about, maybe that reason alone was the reason why it took Leo a week for him to understand what had went wrong.

"Get out of my room," Mikey mutter quietly.

"I know it might be hard, but please Mikey try to forgive me, forgive us. You mean a lot to the family baby brother."

"I said get out of my room!" Mikey yelled as loud as his lungs would allow it.

Leo gulped and nodded his head walking out of his room. A half-asleep Donnie and a mumbling Raph walked towards him, after hearing Mikey yell, no doubt concern on why.

"Why did Mikey yell?" Raph asked.

"Coffee," Donnie said.

"Yeah, not right now Donnie you are going back to bed."

"Coffee?" Donnie said, as if he knew a langue based around the world coffee alone.

"I worked it out Raph on what caused Mikey to turn out like this."

"Coffee, coffee," Donnie said still half-asleep. As Leo showed his brother back to his room.

"Yes, Donnie coffee," Leo said.

"What was it?" Raph asked.

"Remember a week ago with the fight with the Foot where Mikey was hurt."

"I try not to think about it," Raph muttered.

"But that's it that's the problem. It's why we'd been having so much trouble understanding the matter because we all refused to admit that day even happened."

"Our baby brother was almost killed," Raph reminded him.

"I know Raph, I know, but what happened afterwards?"

"Nothing much, I had to share half of my blood with the guy so I was a little out of it. I think you lecture him though."

Donnie ended up hitting his head on a nearby wall, Donnie moaned in pain and Leo winched.

"Sorry Donnie."

"Coffee, coffee, coffee," Donnie said as they we're almost near the purple mask turtle bed.

"At least you tried to get sleep this time and not staying up in your lab." Leo said, remembering how most nights his little brother had a tendence to pull one nights.

"Oh," Raph said. "Shell Leo now I remember. You said."

"I know what I said Raph and I'm ashamed of it. Mikey took it to heart and even now he refused to take my apologize. Can't say I blame him either."

Mikey normally forgave and forget, but this time Mikey didn't seem like he was going to forgive Leo anytime soon.

"How we going to fix it?"

Leo was able to put Donnie back to bed and the genius went to sleep the moment his head hit the pillow, snoring loudly.

"I need to fix this Raph. This is my mistake."

"Shell no, you're not taking the full blame with this Leo. Once Donnie is fully up and is able to speak more than just the word coffee. We are going to fix this mess and get our brother back."

"Raph it was my fault."

"Get our brother back," Raph repeated a lot clearer.

Leo knows he should take the full blame with this, but the last thing he wanted was to get into a fight with Raph.

"Alright we'd do it together."

"That's more like it. Now, I'm heading back to bed."

Raph left Leo alone with a sleeping Donnie.

"We fix this otouto," Leo promised before heading back to his own room.

The next morning the three turtles did everything they could to avoid Mikey at all cost. Since Mikey seemed to have thought it was a good idea to start throwing knives at them, before he had been pulled to the side and spend the morning with Master Splinter in private. No doubt a conversation on, why throwing knives at his brothers is not a very good idea at all. In the meantime, the turtles had informed Donnie on how this mess had started before coming up with a plan to fix it.

"We are not sneaking up on him Raph."

"It's better than your idea Donnie."

"You haven't even heard my idea yet."

"Yeah, but it's still better."

"You want to ambush your own brother."

"I still don't see a problem with it," Raph said.

"Allow me to correct myself. You want to ambush your own brother that is pissed off at anything that moves and even decided that throwing kitchen knives at his own older brothers was a good start to this morning. And, you want to ambush him!" Donnie yelled trying to get this in his brother head.

"Actually, it could work," Leo said.

Donnie and Raph both turned to Leo in the equal amount of shock.

"What?" Leo asked not understanding why his brothers we're staring at him so.

"This is going to get us killed."

"Donnie you are overthink things. Mikey mad at the moment, but he doesn't want to kill us or hurt us," Leo said.

"He'd threw kitchen knives at us this morning," Donnie pointed out.

"Alright. He doesn't want to kill us, he might hurt us, but he won't kill us."

Donnie gave his older brother a blank stare.

"Hmm, so he might have reached that point, but all the more reason on why we have to try. We can't let Mikey stay angry at us forever. It isn't doing good for not only us, but also him."

"In other words, he's slowly going insane."

"Raph I didn't say that."

"You we're thinking it."

"Alright, I was," he admitted.

Mikey mind was unstable at the moment one wrong move might either break him or send him just as insane as the Shredder. Leo didn't want another Shredder he also didn't want that said Shredder to be his baby brother. All because Leo opened up his stupid mouth and sent his baby brother into the deep end.

"Fine, we will ambush our baby brother that almost killed us with kitchen tools," Donnie said. "Brilliant idea Raph and wonderful job Leo in taking leadership."

Donnie storm off ahead, Leo and Raph followed. They waited for the conversation to end with Mikey and Master Splinter. Leo was impressed that Mikey hadn't yell and storm off. Master Splinter walked out of the dojo and raised an eyebrow as three sons stare back at him.

"Do not set him off my sons. Today might be a peaceful day," Master Splinter said. Returning back to his room and allowing his sons to their own devices.

Three heads poked into the dojo where Mikey was sitting and staring off into space. Normally Leo would have been proud that Mikey was sitting so still, if it hadn't been for the situation.

"Alright guys," Leo said. "On the count of three we go up to him and hug him. One, two, three."

The three of them tackle their baby brother with open arms, hugging the youngest. Mikey frowned, but he hadn't thrown them off yet Leo took this as a blessing.

"Give me one good reason on why I shouldn't send you guys back to Master Splinter with broken bones."

"Because you mean the world to us Mikey." Donnie said.

"And you're a great baby brother," Leo said.

"And, don't take anything fearless says serious," Raph said despite Leo frown.

They expected some sort of reaction, maybe insults, or Mikey sending them to Master Splinter with broken bones. Anything, but nothing happened Mikey just sat there and Leo wonder what his brother was thinking, until he saw a tear drop splat on the dojo floor. Breaking the hug all three brothers sat around Mikey with concern.

"I'm sorry," Mikey said in tears.

"Shell Mikey you're the one that not meant to be sorry," Raph said.

"But I am. I'm still not even good enough and all I did was ended up getting mad and I was so furious at the sight of you," Mikey face went red and he seemed to be holding back. "I just wanted to kill you three today. Because you didn't want the old me, and you been trying to get this me to stop and I was sick of pretending, but then Master Splinter force me to have this stupid talk. And, then I started to notice what I was thinking about and even hate myself more for thinking it."

"Hey, Mikey calm down take three deep breath in little bro," Donnie said. "You're getting worked up and it's affecting your breathing."

Leo noticed that Mikey seem to have trouble breathing from his rant and following Donnie advice Mikey breathed in and out before breaking down into tears.

"I'm sorry," was the only words Mikey mumbled.

As Donnie took the youngest into a hug and mumble comfort words. Leo messed up big time his own baby brother was thinking of killing them, the three of them all because Leo had said he was no baby brother of his.

"Mikey, I know it's hard to believe, but we really do want you. I want you," Leo said to a Mikey staring off into space in Donnie arms. "You are my brother Mikey both before and now. It wasn't your fault. It was mine. You don't need to be something you don't want to, just because someone said so. Please understand that otouto. Please understand I'm so sorry for what I said."

Leo expect Mikey not to speak, but he did.

"Really?" Mikey asked his voice was so quiet, not an all what old Mikey would have done.

"Really otouto. I loved you for who you are before and I still love you."

"That goes for me to," Donnie said. "Love you so much baby brother."

"Yeah knucklehead, love you to bro."

Michelangelo was crying again as all three of his brothers hug him on the dojo floor, unknowing to the four of them a proud Master Splinter stood by.

Five days later.

It would take five days before Michelangelo returned back to his normal self. Mikey had still been upset at his brothers for a while and had yelled at them during those five days, but every time he did, he ended up breaking down into tears before being hug by one of them and reminded that he was very much loved. Now, though Mikey was back, happier than ever the lair never had much tension about anymore and even Leo and Raph seemed to have both stop fighting. A shock to the B-team, but after Mikey anger both brothers had come to a point that anger, just shouldn't be allowed. Fearing if they did, they may end up pushing Mikey back into the deep end, saying awful words to the youngest.

So, they tried to work out their differences and let go of their anger in a healthy way. Most of the time the lair was filled with Mikey laughter as he would do cartwheels around the halls, or danced to his tunes. It's during a fight with Rahzar though that sends the turtles on edge.

"I'm just surprised that your brothers haven't disown you for not being a worthy enough ninja," Rahzar said. "You might be a little tougher now freak, but you're still a no-good ninja, no doubt a no-good brother."

Mikey stare at the dog mutant with wild eyes Leo words echoing in his mind. Not knowing that behind him was three tick of older brothers because how dare did this mutant dare say such a thing to their baby brother.

"Rahzar!" Raph yelled. "You get away from him you mutt."

The dog mutant could only look upon them in horror as the three of them went in for the attack sending him running with a broken bone, and bruises.

"Leo," Mikey said in tears. Once the mutant and the foot we're both gone.

"It's alright otouto," Leo said rubbing his baby brother head. "It's alright, we love you and what Rahzar said was only a lie so don't listen to him."

Mikey cried as his older brother hug him tight, Raph and Donnie watched on while still keeping an eye out for a threat. Mikey was their baby brother and he was one skill of a ninja, nobody says otherwise.
