I have to say that writing about myself is always a little bit embarrassing, so I'll keep it simple:

-My name is Laura

-I'm currently studying music at a university in Eastern Canada (voice, if you want to get specific). As a result, you may have to put up with the occasional nerdy music reference.

-I'm originally from the other side of Canada. That's why my writing may feature things like Canadian spellings, celsius rather than fahrenheit, and the metric system. Sorry if that's not what you're used to, but I hope it won't bug you too much!

-Music and English are my two great loves. I love poetry (particularly Eavan Boland and Emily Dickinson) and a great variety of books (and plays). To Kill a Mockingbird, Equus, Harry Potter, and Protector of the Small are a few of my favourites.

-Until university, I never really watched television. Now, my two great loves are OUAT and Sherlock. Currently, I'm writing more OUAT stuff simply because I'm not sure I'm brainy enough to write something for Sherlock, but we'll see!

-I love creative writing because it provides me an outlet for the million thoughts always swimming around my head. I write my own original stuff, but I've discovered that I like writing fanfiction as well! It's nice for when I'm having writer's block with my own work (or just need to let it sit for a while before I edit). I find the community here to be very supportive, and receiving immediate feedback is always encouraging. I'm also quite a private person, so getting to publish anonymously and give people enjoyment while I practice is wonderful.
