Interesting idea having Killian's injuries be the result of guilt rather than inflicted directly by Hades. It makes more sense than Hades torturing him for reasons that haven't yet been disclosed on the show. And of course, Hades would believe that Killian would never be able to get over that guilt and he would underestimate the faith and trust he had in Emma.
