Author has written 11 stories for One Piece, Saiyuki, Kuroko no Basuke/黒子のバスケ, Manhwa/Korean Comics/만화, Pokémon, and Bleach. Yo! Qwaszxedc9 here! XD I have another account on FictionPress, though it's probably the same account since I used this account to log in. If you're interested, hop over. I have 1 long-term story there and 3 one-shots. Click here! And I also have a tumblr account! I usually post my stories there too, as well as re-blog random other things that catch my attention. Feel free to check it out! Click here! Additionally, I have an AO3 account. It's pretty much the same stories there. Check it out if you so wish. Click here! And now I have a livejournal account too. I barely do anything there though. Click here! I have recently discovered that almost none of my links work. Well, if you wanna find me, just search the username qwaszxedc9 on any of the above mentioned websites, and you'll find me.
I'm not actually very sure what to write here. I'm female. I'm human. I'm a sadomasochist. My age is in the double digits. My NUMBER ONE is ONE PIECE. My favourite manga/anime are One Piece and Saiyuki. My favourite manhwa is Noblesse. (For some strange reason this fandom here is so small...) My favourite movies are How to Train your Dragon and the Marvel movies - all of them (Avengers, Hulk, X-Men (technically Fox), etc.). My favourite comics are mainly those in DC and Marvel universe. My favourite cartoons are Danny Phantom, Justice League, Teen Titans and Avatar the last Airbender. My favourite book is Artemis Fowl. (Sorry, not Harry Potter.) I don't really read much SMUT, therefore I can't really write it, so don't expect much from my stories. Usually, I just skip the SMUT in any M-rated I read. (Because there are so many great plots are in the M-rated section, and I'll be damned if I miss out on them just because SMUT isn't interesting to me.) I actually like writing about OCs sometimes. It's Mary-Sues I hate. The three MUST-HAVEs in my writing and reading(in order):
Guess this summarizes a lot. About me The main reason why I came over to this website is to enjoy the fanfiction here, written by fans, for fans, to cater to a fangirl's needs and wants. Mostly, due to fans knowing what fans themselves want, we end up with many stories that can cater to a huge variety of fans. I enjoy fanfiction, both reading and writing them. Even with my busy schedule I do try to make time for writing. I love this with all my heart, and I will never abandon my stories, because I know how annoyed I get when others abandon theirs. I follow the saying 'treat others how you want to be treated'. I like reading, so I write for others. I prefer lengthy reviews, so I try to give as much as possible for other stories that I consider worth reviewing. I appreciate flames, but find them distasteful, and thus I do not flame others. I hate plagiarism, and therefore I either credit anything I had copied with approval, or refrain from copying entirely. It's a two way traffic for me. As a writerAs a writer myself, I do understand how easy it is to procrastinate and deviate from the actual writing. As you can see if you actually read what I write, I'm really slow with updates. That's because I'm very easily distracted, and therefore many of my stories may take months to update, or years maybe. Moreover, it's due to this inability to focus that I juggle a couple of stories at once, writing whenever I have inspiration. I hit writer blocks very, very easily. By the way, I'm very sure it's not just me, but I really dislike one word reviews, for example "Good!", "Awesome!", "Update soon!", though that's two words but you get the point. Not that I don't appreciate those reviews as well, but I value comments, criticism, and advice. These one word or two word reviews are great for boosting my ego, but it does nothing to help me improve upon my stories and allow for a better read. Truthfully, I appreciate flames as well. It tells me that this certain reader is unsatisfied with my writing, and had taken the effort to scream profanities over the net at me, all while remaining anonymous so as to not attract unwanted retaliation. At least point out the parts in the story that call for such use of vulgarities, because "you suck" is not at all telling.
I have actually thought of perhaps more than a thousand stories in my head, but only these have taken form. I wish there was some machine that allowed me to mentally type out everything. That would save so much trouble. I love writing, and I love reading. As a writer, I do hope my readers enjoy what I write as much as I enjoy what I read. As a readerI have been on this website for some time, and I can therefore safely (somewhat) gauge what is it that makes for an excellent story within this website. All these observations are based on reading stories from all my above favourite fandoms, as well as other fandoms that I visit (I do visit a lot). I based all my conclusions on my own interest and experience, therefore these factors are subject to bias. First and foremost, the most important factor in any story: Interest. I believe this is universal. No matter how great your language, what perfect grammatical skills you have or the vast vocabulary you possess, if your story is not interesting, no one will read it. It is the truth of this website. If your story is amazing and beautiful but your language skill is not up to standard, chances are, more than 95% of your readers will forgive you, and continue reading. The other way round though, and you'll probably have your favourites or followers in the single digits. Secondly, would be the number of chapters. Has anyone noticed, that in almost every fandom, the stories that occupies the top spots in favourites are usually those with at least double digit of chapters? — not counting the occasional excellent one-shots. Mostly, I suspect that this is due to the fact that everyone wants more to read, less to anticipate, and less waiting. The extreme is also true. Those stories with triple digit of chapters as well as more than 1000k words might also turn people off. Why? Because there's far too much to read! People nowadays just haven't the time. Thirdly, is character. This depends heavily on the readers, and authors themselves. Some prefer the characters completely IC, and this leans toward no non-canon romance, stories that follow canon plot and no major OOC. Others, however, like to see their shy characters standing up for themselves, their fierce characters blushing and their stupid characters secretly smart. This would result in non-canon pairings, shippings, and plot-rape. Face it, no matter how well written, as long as the pairing is non-canon, the characters are OOC. Why? Because the real characters won't fall for whoever it is they're being paired with - but people like it. Therefore this is also a factor, but an ambiguous one, with so many other factors thrown in. This also ties in with OC stories. People prefer OCs that earn recognition, instead of mysteriously gaining it. Many OC stories center around the OCs budging into the main characters' dynamics, almost as if they were intruding or forcing their way into the story, which makes them both annoying and unlikeable. OCs require depth, feeling, character development and a small back-story that's not overly sappy and cruel. I believe Mary-Sues are the fault of the writers, not the characters themselves. If you have visited the One Piece Fandom, there's this story titled Marie D. Suesse and the Mystery New Pirate Age! by Phalanx. It's excellent, well-written, and proves that Mary-Sue hatred is created due to the authors' own inability to write an interesting story. No one likes Mary-Sues. Personally, I dislike them. I just hope my own OCs do not turn out like them. Fourthly, frequency of posting of chapters. Everyone loves it when the author regularly posts their chapters. It's a smaller factor than the rest, but an equally important one. No one likes to wait for an indefinite amount of time before the next chapter comes, especially if the story is really good. People will feel more inclined to follow and favorite the story when they know to expect a chapter within a certain deadline. Fifth, research. It is what you do to make sure that your story does not deviate from the canon, is consistent, and actually follows the laws of physics. Or at the very least the laws of whatever universe the story's in. From personal experience, I know I get annoyed when I see an author write some bull that defies the law of the human body, such as a person starving for a month or so, and suddenly you give him a good huge plate of food and he's cured?! What rubbish is this? He'll vomit! That's how annoyed I get when reading stuff that don't make sense. All the rest of the random and minuscule factors are important, but the above five are what I believe to be of utmost importance. True, the technical language skills are important, but that can be improved upon. Most of the time, the readers will prefer stories that are interesting as compared to those that have excellent language. Bottom line is, the best stories are interesting. An excellent command of the language is but secondary to the interest of your readers. This seems to be quite lengthy. I wonder if anyone would actually read all of this.
