(It has been some time since I last posted on this site… Far too long in my opinion, so let’s address the elephant in the room.)

I need to be honest with everyone, I haven’t lived up to my goals to be more active, nor stay in touch with my readers save for the rare update on Assassin’s Journal to reveal what I have been working on. In the last two years I’ve sunk most of my time into writing new stories. I pushed more time to their completion than continue the stories already on this site. And this has only stumped my motivation to keep writing, as well as slowed production to a halt in my opinion.

This has been my undoing and, my own fault for allowing myself to be inspired by other series and stories by other authors on this site that allowed this crash to happen. And to be completely honest. I pushed myself into a corner and did absolutely nothing in that time. The existing poll I have up was to prioritize which story I should focus on more, but instead, it failed to accomplish even this.

The other reason for my lack of updates has to do with a complete rework on my writing. Grammar mistakes, and pronunciation errors aside; I have been looking at how I write my stories, and how I write as an author for months now, looking to improve myself in the future. I’m learning as I go, and I want to try a different writing style than what you’re probably familiar with. If you have read any of my stories, you will or will not see any difference with this new writing style. It’s something I wish to try and I hope it lands with my audience when I come back to writing.

I love and enjoy writing. I love what I do here and love writing these stories filled with interesting characters and a striking narrative. While I allowed myself to become complacent recently, the joy I have for writing has not. My love to sit down and write whatever comes to mind will always remain a favorite hobby of mine, and something I just enjoy doing.

Even though I have a stained record of disappearing for months, this is all about to change for the better. Because it’s about time I lay my cards down on the table and change my entire work schedule around and motivate myself to become more engaging and open with my readers and, with what I’m doing here and what I set out to do when I first joined back in 2014.

It’s that time for a change and it has been long overdue. So here’s my hand and what I have in mind for the rest of this year and onward…

Current Lineup

A Reawakened God: Yes, yes I know, I know… it has taken around four years (minus the update in chapters in 2017), but it is making a return. I’m going back to one of my earliest works on this website because it is in need of a revival. This story (A Reawakened God) was if I remember the third story I ever wrote on Fanfiction. Because I put more time into writing new stories I left it where it was and never looked back. Before there were six chapters instead of the current four that was before I rewrote the prologue chapters all into the first chapter. This small update happened back in 2017 when I was showing signs of making a return.

I’m trying out a new style where I write one (sometimes two) stories in a single month and post them at the end of that month. I want to try this with another one of my stories to keep up with proactivity. I should have two updated chapters on two different stories ready at the end of the month. The only times I will allow myself to be tardy is whenever I’m falling behind, however; a lot of my stories should be done within a month.

Minato’s Raven Feathers: It’s still sitting at number one on the poll, so I’m not sure why I have not done much with one of my personal favorites. I will get started on writing chapter fourteen immediately. My apologies to everyone eager to return to the world where an apathetic Minato Sahashi resides as the “Demon King” of the Sekirei Plan.

Also among my agenda, I’m currently thinking about rewriting chapters eleven, twelve, and thirteen; chapter twelve especially... I’ve been considering its rework for months now. The changes I have planned for chapter twelve is making one scene, in particular, more compelling, as well as emotional in its delivering, also the removal of one character who after much consideration I feel she has no part being in the story at all.

Issei’s Sacrifices: Another of my favorites but I left alone because I didn’t have the drive to continue writing. I planned to have chapter nine ready to go in October. With the prologue chapters complete (I’m thinking about going through the trilogy to update my mistakes in them.), I could focus my time and energy on continuing this series. I have big surprises in future chapters, with meeting new characters, new outcomes different from the original, while still staying true to the source material. While everything you’re reading is from my own imagination, I still want to remain true to the source material. I want to include much from the light novel, but keeping with my original idea of having Issei as this powerful person, who won’t struggle against every enemy he comes across.

He’s a hero, but he is also an anti-hero. A lot of his choices and past decisions as seen in the prologue trilogy paints him as a person willing to do anything to protect the people he loves. And he isn’t someone to quickly forgive the people who have wronged him, Issei has shown to hold grudges that aren’t so easily forgotten. If you’re caught up on chapters then you’re in for a surprise for where I’m taking his character next.

I may do a later update on my profile, but I’m considering posting the list of his peerage members (all of them). If this is something you’d like to see now let me know. I may do it anyway, but if you can’t wait and want to see just exactly who is serving under him than let me know.

Date a Sekirei: Here’s a story I wrote by impulse and rarely touched afterward. However, in the recent chapters, I have invested more time in the narrative and its characters and the route I want for this story to take. Shido will take part in the Sekirei Plan by default, but there will be a second threat more challenging he must face or risk losing everyone he loves.

Shido will still keep the powers he obtains from the Spirit girls whose powers he seals, like in the novel/anime. Only this time I have given him his own power he can use freely and has been using in secret. His secret won’t stay a secret for much longer because I have plans to unveil it in the coming chapters.

I don’t want to change too much of Shido’s character from his canon counterpart. Except for a slight hiccup in the very first chapter, I will change at another time. But I want to make him appear more confident when dealing with the opposite sex, and be more assertive. I want him to be more forward when dealing and talking with the members of his harem, naturally, this will lead to them having sex and involve situations of a similar nature, but rest assured that isn’t the case until we reach the later chapters. However, he will be a slightly different character than the version in the light novel. He has killed before given his background -- this affects his character to be darker and tolerate of killing or terribly injuring his opponents. You can see for yourself when we return in the month of October or early November.

Crimson Darkness: Like the entry above I want to make the main character different in personality, while still retaining the traits that make them. Not an entirely new character just an upgrade to their person that way they fit in how I wish to write them in my stories. Rito Yuuki won’t change really, except I will make him smarter and slightly more comedic if you find his level of humor to be funny once you hear it. By the former, he will use gadgets that are his own inventions and display a level of intelligence resembling Sherlock from the critically acclaimed TV show of the same name. I figured it would work given his current status in the story.

While not written in the summary for the story, Rito is kind of a powerhouse with no real equal who comes close to providing a challenge for him. Inspired by my playtime of Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, Rito uses powers similar to the Wraith’s abilities in the video game. The two God characters accompanying him appear just as Celebrimbor did in the game, only their backstory is different and the color which they appear in is gold. I’m just saying Rito won’t be godlike but a lot of his powers and abilities, yet to be seen in the story could depict him as one.

I’m also taken my absent from fanfiction seriously and used that time to further invest in the storyline and plot for Crimson Darkness. When I started writing this back in late 2015, most of my inspiration came from watching episode ten from the second season of Darkness and I just ran with it. This could explain my lack of updates because I didn’t know where I was taking this, along with the scrapped backstory of Rito’s time away in space before the start of canon also killed any motivation I had towards finishing this story.

That isn’t the case anymore since I what to commit to finishing Rito's story. Now I’m not saying I’m going to breeze right through and leave many questions left unanswered. Rito’s story isn’t a long one like my other main characters, so I’m predicting of wrapping his up around sixteen chapters in.

The Wayfarer: Because the summary only allows a certain amount of characters to be written the same as Twitter. Allow me to clarify the different elements and sources involved with this title, as I’m sure some of you are confused.

Minato is Minato Sahashi from Sekirei but is an original character with an entirely new personality and was born in the Naruto Universe to Hashirama Senju and Mito Uzumaki, which explains his two surnames in the story. He awakens in modern time years later meeting a younger Rias Gremory and her family thus explaining the Highschool DxD timeline and, where the majority of the story takes place. It borrows characters, locations, and powers from other known anime -- none more than Saijaku no Muhai Bahamut. However, don’t expect Drag-Knights being relevant, just saying this now. But this doesn’t limit the source material at all since different elements from that series play a big role in the story.

This is a rewrite of the now discontinued “Akuma no okami.” If you enjoyed the previously mentioned title then I encourage you to give the new title a read, if you haven’t already or you’re undecided. It’s something I have been working on for the last two years and I can’t stop thinking about it.

This is why I will be posting all of part one consisting of eight chapters in the months to come until the end of Winter 2018. This is definitely a favorite of mine and I can’t hold off on it to focus on other projects. It’s one of my most recent stories and I would love for it to have a positive review, not because I invested so much of my time into writing it but because it’s a story I love and I generally don’t want people to hate it or not even read it since I put a lot of effort into crafting the many characters and the world within.

I’m putting everything I have to make this a great series, this is why I’m going for a new release at the end of every month, and why I’m adding a second update to go with it, so I’m not falling on my promises to be active with frequent uploads.
