SGArkosfan, I have a suggestion for you if you will humor me for a moment. So far this story has been very harsh towards Ironwood and has painted him in a pretty bad light. The actions of Joker Jaune have had a pretty negative impact on the audience Ironwood and seeing that possible future scenario hasn't really resolved those issues, even if it had made him less likely to take action against his worlds Jaune. I think it would be very moving and emotionally impactful to both us readers and to the RWBY characters (especially Ironwood) who are watching these alternate universes if the child of Yang and Jaune in the Star Trek universe is explicitly stated by one of them to be named after that universes Captain James Ironwood. If you keep the child of Yang and Jaune a son then you could switch the name from James Kirk to James Arc and have the dialogue from the movie change to reflect that he's named in honor of their Captain Ironwood. It would be pretty impactful for the RWBY audience if the first Son of Jaune Arc that had yet been shown was named in honor of a AU James Ironwood who heroically sacrificed himself them. It would certainly have an effect on how the audience Ironwood sees Jaune going forward. That is unless you plan on changing the gender of their child to female or changing the first name to Tai (Kirk was named James after his grandfather on his mother's side).
