I'm not the same person that I use to be.

I didn't throw away the pieces of myself that I didn't like, instead pairing them off with the parts that I adored to become someone worthy. Someone disgustingly and wonderfully human.

So I looked into my mirror, to see if the change had shown and found that just beyond my messy curls and chubby cheeks and painful smiles, there was possibilities.

And in a world where the air tasted sour and blood is easier to come by than water, that answer made the world seem, just for a split second, bright and weightless and so damn beautiful.
