I reviewed the first four chapters the first time I read this, but you hadn't written this one yet! I'm glad you managed to update, but I see it's been a while. I hope you do get a chance to come back to this story some day. I do really like Doctor/Donna, because it's not a common combination. And the dynamic in this story with Eleven has been really great.

Anyway, I'm glad you updated.

I've read this story so many times I've lost count, but today's read the line of "his hands flutter by her face and she backs off, wary" hurts so much more than I remember. It just makes me think of all the ways she doesn't, can't trust him. But she still loves him, and he her, that they can and will work past it, but it'll always hurt. This will always be one of my favorite stories, because you have such a strong grasp on everyone's characterization, especially the ways they are achingly human. They ways they lash out even if they don't mean it, or the ways they try to be strong even when they're feeling anything but. It's beautiful.

So so so so good! I love this Donna's characterisation and I never knew I needed Donna/Eleven until I read your stories. I can't wait for more!

I love it. For some reason people tend to love one or the other but I looooove Donna and River. Forever sad they never get to meet.
