![]() Author has written 40 stories for Power Rangers, W.I.T.C.H., Ben 10, NCIS, Pokémon, Avatar: Last Airbender, Harry Potter, Hellboy, Bleach, X-Men: Evolution, Twilight, Teen Titans, Monster High, and CSI: Miami. Hey, fellow aspiring authors (and other interested parties)! A J's the name, hilarious wit is the (hopeful) game. First off, a little about me. Recently married, to a full-time Business manager/part time martial arts instructor (various styles). We have 3-year-old fraternal twins; a boy: Joseph, and a girl: Rose; so actual writing time's sometimes a little ... sparse. I also do freelance writing for a local film studio. Age: early 20s, Gender: female, Eyes: light blue-grey, Hair: mousy brown, usually in a ponytail, braided when I'm feeling ambitious. The rest, as one of my favorite authors is fond of saying, is 'subject to change without notice'. Especially with traveling twins! (Man, can they run quick!) Favorite 'pro' authors: Anne McCaffrey, Julie Kenner, Piers Anthony, Carrie Vaughn, Roger Zelazney, Rachel Vincent, John R. R. Tolkien, Cristine Warren, J.K. Rowling, and Wendy & Richard Pini (Creators of the wonderful Elfquest Comic Series, which they self-published! (Thanks for the intro to them, Aunt Steph!)) Fave 'ama' authors, see below! Favorite Music: Halestorm, Disturbed, Aly & AJ, Rob Zombie, AC/DC, Miley Cyrus (& Hannah), Pat Benetar, Eyeshine, NIN, and 'funny' music like 'Weird Al', Spike Jones, Tom Lehrer, Julie Ecklar and the other filk-artist, and (esp. with relatives from Michigan!) Da Yoopers. Fave animated Shows: W.i.t.c.h., Batman Beyond, X-men:Evo, Bleach, Ben 10, Star Wars Clone Wars, Batman Brave and Bold, Inuyasha, both Ghostbusters, Cowboy Bebop and Trigun. Okay, have to add the all-time best anime ever, Robotech. The WHOLE saga. Favorite live TV: N.C.I.S., both Stargates, My Own Worst Enemy, Power Rangers, both Knight Riders, Forever Knight, the Invisible Man, Supernatural, new Doctor Who, She-wolf of London, Supergirl, Limitless, Tru Calling, and pretty much everything by Joss Whedon. Favorite Movies: Oh, boy. Too numerous to list, but summed up by Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Paranormal, Werewolf, Vampire, Romantic Comedies, Comedies, and Pirates. Some fun qoutes: "I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it!" (Favorite T-shirt.) "Marriage means commitment, but so does insanity." (Favorite Mug.) "When in doubt, cause as much confusion as possible. With luck, there'll always be a loophole." (Dr. Peter Venkman, Ghostbuster.) "You know your personal reality is skewed when, in looking in different directions to see if it's safe to proceed, you always include UP." (Me!) "Sex is like Bridge. If you don't have a good partner, you better have a good hand." (Da Yoopers. Words to live by, eh?) About my Stories: First off, no, none of my stories are abandoned or up for adoption, though it may take me a while to get back to some of them. I blame the fickle muse and her raving plot-bunny farm, personally, though there are some other extenuating circumstances. See below, and bear with me, please. Angst: It has come to my attention that many of you are still confused by the layout of this story. My apologies all around, it's just the way the ideas started coming to me for the story. The narrative is split into two time periods: Odd chapters deal with the events immediately following the end of the fight in 'Z is for Zenith'. Even chapters deal with the emergency replacement Guardians appointed to find W.i.t.c.h. after the start of the school year (approximately two and a half weeks later.) The early 'odd' chapters are presented as flashbacks of people in the 'even ch' scenes before them, but as of chapters 10/11, the two stories are straightforward in timeflow. I hope this explanation helps, dear readers. June, 2012: Attention, Angst readers: Due to the loss of the notebooks I had all of the still un-typed (and hence :=( un-posted) next four chapters as well as production and background notes in, Angst will be suffering from a long hiatus while I try to recreate everything i had written. I apologize profusely for the delay, but there's a reason I write it all down first ... next time I'll just rem to make copies ... (le sigh) Update, April 2015: Having wracked my brains and wrecked a couple old storage drives, I've almost got chapter 26 ready to go, and all you faithful readers know what that means: the parents get to Candrakar! Stay tuned ... Attention, My Own Worst Enemy readers: Alright, faithful readers, as you may have noticed, I have made some new stuff up for this one finally, still working off what few notes I managed to rewrite or find in some of the darndest places. It may be a bit before more makes it out again, but enjoy the fresh infusion, and hopefully the wait will have been worth it. May the Power Protect ... the Quaffle?: For those who missed the last couple chapters, I had moved it over to the Harry Potter/Power Rangers Crossovers list, since it is exactly that. Hope those still anxious to catch the ending manage to find it. Thanks for the support and the reviews, esp. PinkRangerV. The popcorn one made my day! September, 2010: Fair warning, I have taken it upon myself to try Machete227's Crack!ship challenge for Avatar: the Last Airbender. I originally figured 'Hey, why not, I like to write funny anyway, and it'd give me more practice with the fandom to make my two slightly-less-insane-and-more-canon stories better.' I'm not sure if it's helping anymore ... But feel free to come and enjoy the twisted one-shots anyway, and be afraid, some of them WILL have ... sequels ... (Insert endless evil laugh here!) ;D Attention! 13 April 2011: I am co-authoring a Highlander/W.i.t.c.h. Crossover with my Uncle Tom (A K A Hellwriter), to be published through his own new account. He's the guy who taught me to write as well as I do, so hopefully you'll all like what we come up with together. (Link to his page is in my favorites below!) April, 2014: Chapter Seven is up now! The Date of Irma and Martin, with some complications! Pluto was no longer declared a planet on August 27 of 2006 just because it was "Too small" and "Off it's orbit" for a couple scientists likings. If you still think Pluto should be considered a planet, copy and paste this into your profile, and then tell NASA. (Maybe we can start a petition. Anyone ..?) Enjoy, and please remember to review, especially if you spot something that needs fixed. Catch ya on the flipside, so don't get caught in the downslide, A J. |
