Glumski chapter 5 . 9/14/2019 This is excellent! I pretty much love everything about this story, and am saddened to see it abandoned. Though I see that you're still publishing stuff, so yay for that! |
ErnestTheGuy chapter 5 . 8/24/2019 Oooo I want to see how the conspiracy will spread and conquer |
DarkLordWhatsit chapter 5 . 3/17/2019 are you intending to finish this? it's been about 6 years now so I'm guessing not but it'd be nice |
Winlyn chapter 5 . 2/12/2019 Dark and disturbing all right... So... After four days or so I managed to finish this tale, and I must say that I'm impressed. Somewhat depressed over the apparent fate of chrysanthemum, and completely thrown for a loop on several occasions... But nevertheless enyoying the story. I did have a bit of a time adjusting to the journal format in the beginning but now I sort of miss it. It made things mostly orderly. I thank you for this story and hope to someday see it finished. -Winlyn |
JM0RIARTY chapter 5 . 8/6/2017 so is this abandonned? Or just on a long hiatus? I really like Holly and her crew. It's a good story and especially I like the twist with "Bright witches must be dimmed." It gives the story really depth because of how society works right now all over the world. "Bright women must be dimmed." seems about what happens everywhere... JM |
LongSelfindulgentReviews chapter 5 . 6/23/2017 I've said most all of what I needed to say in my review of Holly Evans and the Spiral Path, but to summarize, I loved it, and I love these five fleeting chapter. I do hope that one day you finish this absolutely lovely work, but until that day comes I will choose to believe that Natalia and Holly have just not gotten bored of Disney World yet, even if it has been four years since they departed on their Honeymoon. Thanks again for a great read. P.S. I never minded the journal entry and script styles in the first story, in fact it as quite charming, but your prose is very well done, so I'm glad to see it getting a chance to shine outside of the spiral tangents. |

Coletterby chapter 5 . 4/19/2015 Really enjoying the story. Holly is a fascinating character. I hope this gets continued! |
Isa Lumitus chapter 3 . 3/13/2015 Okay, I get it. Holly didn't just use fiendfire on the Wizengamot because she's trying to be neutral towards Devo's group. I wonder if Holly will make some sort of spirit wards to really punish Devo if he's so dumb as to try something like his possession trick again. Sure, he got through a fidelus, but his followers probably couldn't. If he tried again, Holly might be able to trap him like a summoned demon, and then just leave him there... Forever. Maybe move the trap into a room within a time gyro's area of effect. He might get to experience millennia of solitary confinement. By the time he finally got out, his mind would be pretty gone. |
Isa Lumitus chapter 2 . 3/13/2015 You know, I was all ready to whine about Holly being an idiot for playing to the enemy's tune by showing up to the court date. But she redeemed herself by being willing to kill sixty or so people if they didn't vote the way she wanted. That said, I still think that the optimal solution might have been to cast fiendfire, leave the room, cast colloportis, use a time turner, and leave the ministry. We'll call that a prototype for the Five Step Plan. I'm sure that variants on it be called for later in the story. Now, I'm sure some people would decry that as senseless mass murder. But remember how their presence meant that they were a part of an attempt at perverting justice against her. Some might say that not everyone in that room knew enough to deserve to die. But they are still tools of people that do deserve death (yes, including Amelia Bones). And that means that the tools must be destroyed so the enemy can't use them. Morally, it's no different than the allies killing German conscripts in WW2. And no, I did not just Godwin myself. I never said that opposing views were like the Nazis. I just compared my idea to soldiers that killed unwilling draftees on the other side. Which has probably happened on both sides of 90% of all wars fought by the human race. |
Isa Lumitus chapter 1 . 3/13/2015 Nice smackdown on Amelia bones. I have mixed thoughts on her, though. At least for the first part of the chapter, she seemed Lawful Stupid in alignment. Solidly so. Girl has been raped for hours, a mass murderer is reborn, and one of the murderer's henchmen getting killed is the problem? I'm not going to say that Amelia deserves the three step plan... But she deserves whatever trials her stupidity brings on her. Honestly, HP fanfics come in two flavors for me: obvious wish-fulfillment fantasies of the author, and a lesson in why no one in canon can be trusted. Whether that's due to treachery, poor impulse control, or pure idiocy, the result is the same. |
imhotep99301 chapter 5 . 2/24/2015 I hope you come back to this story soon, as I greatly enjoyed the prequel and I am looking forward to future updates. |
SeanHicks4 chapter 5 . 1/5/2015 Fun, looking forward to see how this may or may not lead into Holly Polter... |
