Author has written 27 stories for Power Rangers, and Vampires. Updating profile - (September 2012) Update: Well things are still not good on the job or financial front; however I have applied for my SSI & SSD (that's the up side). The down side was a move from Michigan to Georgia and using a 'borrowed' computer because mine is in storage with the rest of my worldly goods. I have some clothes, necessities (shampoo, soap, etc) with me at my Uncle's house and that's it. So I'm not doing a lot of writing on any of my fics right now. I will get back to them - eventually - when I get my computer out of storage and get it hooked up (maybe soon I can hope). (June 2011) News update: Things have not been going good. Job market sucks and finding someplace I can work to pay the bills is very tough. Looking forward to finding a job so I can concentrate on writing again in my spare time. Right now my days are filled with job hunting and worrying about how to pay the all the bills on the house. It's tough when a family member passes away and they didn't have any life insurance to help out the remaining family - that's what happened with mom. Economy doesn't help, but doing the best I can in a bad situation. Writing when I can, just not enough to post, but I keep plugging away at it to try and keep depression at bay. Wish me luck in my job hunting and hopefully SOMEONE out there will have compassion for a near 50 lady that took six years out of work to care for an ailing parent instead of just stuffing them into a home. Recent news (November 2010) Well things have not been good in the past year. Mom passed away on July 13th after a four year - that we know of - battle with breast cancer that metastasized to the bone. It was really fast, she wasn't in pain, and I will miss her greatly. I am trying to get back to writing on my fics, but it's two years and right now the 'drive' to write just isn't there. I'm working on a piece (unpublished as yet) that was inspired by a very well done fan video on YouTube. However it's not the tale of the video but the 'bite' from a clearly slash driven plot bunny that's had me working on this - slowly. I will probably be another 'tear-jerker' like my piece "Death of a Power Ranger"; however that's all I'm saying for now and trying to get 'motivated' to write isn't as easy right now. I will do what I can and do my best to finish my works here that have been left 'unfinished' for a couple of years as mom slowly declined. I am still working through my grieving process while also trying to find a job after a five, going on six, year hiatus to care for mom. Depression, grief, stress over bills, and more is weighing me down and keeping me shoved into that dark, dark pit of despair. Clawing my way out and I have backslid more than I've gained ground recently, but I'm still clawing up the side of the pit toward the light. Writing helps, when I can, but like I said - sometimes there's just not the spark to do anything - including write. Recent news (March 2009) -- Mom is NOT walking well and is back in the wheelchair, so that has put more pressure onto my shoulders so definitely NO time for writing, or much of anything else either. I will get back to my unfinished stories, but right now I just don't have the time to work on them. Updates on everything will come as I can. (July 2008) -- Mom is doing a lot better than she was so I am back to, attempting, to write on everything that got left unfinished while taking care of her. She is capable of doing things around the house and a little in the yard, but the bulk of household chores still falls onto my shoulders (for now). Updates might be sporadic, but I will be updating "Genus Force", "Last Master of the Morphin Grid", and "The Mistake - From Five Different Perspectives" as soon as I can. Thank you all for the well wishes, prayers, and support you've given as I dealt with this crisis. (Sept 2007) -- Mom is home from the nursing home and is very slowly getting better. So far the good news is that she's not having to have chemo treatments for her breast cancer, but is taking hormone therapy in pill form, for now. Oncologist has her on an IV medication to help strengthen her bones and both the oncologist and orthopedist are pleased with her progress. Even if she's better, the house is still my responsibility and I'm physically challenged myself. So things are slow and updates are nearly non-existant, but I'm doing my best. What to say about myself? I've kept my 'age' off the site for a long time now, but suffice to say I am a mature adult female that became, on her own without the help of a child, a fan of Power Rangers from the beginning. It combined back then, and still combines today, three of my favorite genres - martial arts/sci-fi/action-adventure all together in one place for a half an hour. Can't say the delicious and scrumptious eye-candy (for me the guys) wasn't also a huge draw too. Anyway if you want to know my age, just know this: I am old enough to know better, but young enough to want to try. (in other words - I think there's only a couple of other PR fanfic writers on the site that, like me, are pushing into those 'over the hill' years), but someone once said "You are only as old as you feel you are." I don't know who to attribute that quote to and right now I am too worn out to even go look it up on the web. I enjoy reading all types of fan fiction from the funny to the seriously sad stories and everything in between. I also try and review most of the stories I read and appreciate it when others review the stories I've written, no matter whether the criticism is good or bad. I do accept anonymous reviews and I will reply to them if an e-mail address is left on the review. I write mostly Power Rangers fan fiction and have been writing it for over three years now. This is the first place I've ever published any of my fiction and I hope that others will enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it. I do write slash fan fiction (male to male relationships) and I have friends that are of every sexual orientation available. I do NOT believe that discrimination against anyone is fair or proper. That includes discrimination of sexual preferences as well as their race, religion, color of their skin, or sex. I rate my fan fiction as it should be because there are young people that access this site and hopefully their parents are watching what they do when online. If my fiction is rated M or higher it is because it contains explicit sexual content and interaction between the characters. You've been warned and I also put the warning in the teaser for the story. Please if I forget to ask you to Read & Review in the Author's Notes or in the story description. Please Read & Review. That's the only way I'll learn to to hear from others that have read my stories. Flames as well as constructive criticism is appreciated. It lets me know that someone at least reading what I've written. BEST POWER RANGERS CROSSOVER SEASON ROMANCE STORY PernDragonrider |
