I have to commend you, this is a great story. Yes it is hard to read about the trauma that Harry faced, but it is essential to read it so that you can figure out where Harry's head is at. I sincerely hope that this isn't over. I would love to read more. I do wonder what is happening at Hogwarts. I can't believe that Snape and Harry would be cut completely off from the happenings at Hogwarts. Would Dumbledore ask Dobby to carry letters to and from the safehouse? Would Dumbles be insistent about Snape teaching Harry things to help him defeat Voldie? What about Remus? Would remus be asking about Harry?

Hi! I know this was posted a while ago, but I HAD to comment. I'm an occupational therapy student. The paragraph where Snape reflected that Harry's activities needed to be relevant and functional, I was crying. That is the very essence of my future career. My career is to help people do the things they want to, have to, and need to do. All the while having treatments be meaningful and client-centered. I have loved this story already, but that paragraph struck home with me. I read it and I was like THAT's OT. That is what I can tell people when they ask what OT is or when they ask, "Do you help people find jobs?" In short, yes and no. OTs have a holistic view and guidance to treatment that is meaningful and client-centered. OTs help clients be able to do what they want to, need to, and have to do. That can include job searching, but more often it is working on adapting activities of daily life, client education, sensory integration, and much, much more. Please continue to write. You have a wonderful talent. My heart aches for both the traumatized teen and the professor who feels useless.

Well i am not suprised to find this unfinished. A bit of advice, its okay if you want to go dark, and its okay if you want to detail the healing process, but you have to pick and choose which Details you want to focus on because you HAVE to gloss over some details or you will never finish. In all my decades of reading fanfiction, i have yet to read a finished torture fic that doesnt gloss over some details. And when i say gloss over, i mean summarize a few days, weeks, or months. I know you are probably trying to make it realistic to make it a good story, but there are two things you want to remember in terms of making a story or book realistic. The first, it is possible to be too realistic, very very very few people want to read reality-we have the news for that. So while its okay to do some day by day, to detail every single day gets boring and drags on and you will never finish because you will spend all your days detailing out all your characters' days. The second, in terms of heeling is super similar, it will take a lifetime for your charcters to heal from torture. So if you insist on writing every detail, it will take you a lifetime to write it and you will never finish. Thus, if you ever want to finish this or any other healing fics, remember to summarize some of it so you arent writing forever and a day and so you can actually finish it. That being said, it was a nice story, i read the first two and enjoyed them, but i didn't realize that this one wasn't finished, or i wouldnt have started reading since because of the above mentioned and judging by the last update, you probably never will. It also dragged a tiny bit but other than that it was a great work, thanks for sharing what you did.
