Handers chapter 1 . 4/23 Very nice story! |
Furious Tomato chapter 50 . 1/27 Absolutely excellent story. Had me really gripped by third chapter and never knew where plot would twist next. Bravo |
SilverSwan6 chapter 8 . 11/5/2019 Thoroughly enjoying this - a truly unique take on the Potter Mythos. |
Guest chapter 1 . 10/16/2019 After finishing this story I can say without a doubt that it is an amazing story that suffers horribly and painfully from the writing style it was forced into. It would have worked and maybe gotten a 10/10 if it weren't for that. |
Spad XIII chapter 50 . 9/23/2019 Binge read this over a few days along with the outtake chapters. Stunning writing & unique plot & take on characters. Every canon reader should view this piece of fanfiction as way to see how Harry Potter saga can be flipped & improved upon in intriguing ways. Well done indeed to author wordhammer. |
Glumski chapter 50 . 9/13/2019 Well, that was a rollercoaster, the last chapters especially. And I must say, I liked this a lot more than I though I would, given the journal-like beginnings. Funnily enough, I think I prefer the earlier journal entries over the later prose-like retellings, probably because Holly's first-person comments are much more snarky than Newt's third-person accounts. Admittedly, there were a few things that weirded me out, like the Cat!Hermione sex scene back in second year that appeared to be of dubious consent to me, or Holly's oviparous mutation. But weird isn't bad, and the second thing was pretty darn clever, I have to admit. Also, the dialogue with Dumbledore about Centaur's genitalia back in one of the first few chapters had me laugh so hard I couldn't breath. What I didn't appreciate - and this is in fact the only thing I didn't appreciate - were the tangents. I haven't read them yet, though I will do soon, because... well, I read one book, and then I read the next. I don't switch between books after every chapter (unless I'm researching stuff in a library, which I generally don't to relax with fanfictions). I get why you did it, but I don't agree with that choice. Thankfully I don't have to, though, because I'm not the author. And praise the Bacon for that; it'd be a mess otherwise... So, apart from the tangent issue, I liked this a lot. The characters were great, the style of writing was fantastic, the ideas were original, Firenze is well-endowed, the twists and turns were surprising... Oh, well, mostly. I usually shut down my brain when reading so I don't accidentally spoil myself somehow, but I still thought at the very beginning "Oh, I bet Holly is Harry", and halfway in "Oh, I bet Harry and Holly both have to do the TWT". I didn't see any of the other stuff coming, but those two things were as obvious as neon signs to me. I have no clue why. If it was intended, wow, masterfully done! If it was not... maybe something's wrong with my brain. Anyway, I'll have to read the sequel now. And the tangents. Thank Bacon it's the weekend! |
cko2 chapter 50 . 9/9/2019 Talk about very weird but coolmsrory thatvreally screws cannon over and the. Gets weird. |
ErnestTheGuy chapter 50 . 8/24/2019 I was disturbed by the depravity of the magical population in regards to rape but I enjoyed everything else. Took me a week to get through this. |
Guest chapter 3 . 7/1/2019 lmao ch3 "I was distracted by visions of Firenze's giant horse cock" |
Ryoji Mochizuki chapter 50 . 5/27/2019 :) |
PolarWriter95 chapter 50 . 5/4/2019 This has been one of the weirdest styles I’ve ever read but I thoroughly enjoyed it nonetheless |
DarkLordWhatsit chapter 32 . 3/9/2019 borrowing that excelsior spell joke. |
Raved Thrad chapter 3 . 7/2/2018 Three chapters in and I'm already laughing like a crazy person. Journal/diary-style stories aren't normally my thing - in fact, I have no idea how I got here - but so far this has been the best one I've read, and among the most entertaining of any story. That's been enough to keep me plugging away. |
Draco Oblivion chapter 29 . 6/14/2018 Heh, interesting to see what looks like the start of a sex cult and good to see Holly planning to fight back against the patriarchy! |
Draco Oblivion chapter 26 . 6/13/2018 So Dumbledore really is senile, the Goblins and Ministry are working together against witch competence and Holly's just been brutalised and gangraped... The grimmness of it all isn't even any longer offset by cute Hermion/Holly scenes... |
