Author has written 8 stories for W.I.T.C.H., NCIS, Danny Phantom, My Babysitter's a Vampire, How to Train Your Dragon, and Hocus Pocus.

Hi everyone! Welcome to my new and improved profile!

After a recent (eh, maybe three years?) vacation from writing any serious, or at least publishing, fanfiction, I've decided to pick up the reins once more and try my hand on this old horse. And of course, since it's a new time, I need a new profile too!

So, call me Tibki. It means "She is crying" in Maltese, which, frankly, I didn't even know was a language until I googled 'Tibki'. My real name's kinda simple to guess from it. I'm 20 (as of 2015) and living in Mississippi, a student and a TA at the University of Mississippi. I'm a Pisces, for those of you who care, and don't believe in astrology either, for those of you who don't.

I like... Books and movies and TV series and stories in general--why would someone be on if they didn't? Bands of every type and flavor; my iTunes has the same number of plays for Avenged Sevenfold's Welcome to the Family as it does Celtic Woman's Orinoco Flow. Ketchup and mayonnaise mixed together, and when I have an idea and the ability to write on the same day (that doesn't happen often; it's usually one or the other).

I don't like... hate. People judging me for various reasons. People judging people I love for any reason. The US healthcare system. Math. The US educational system. Being sick, and scaring others (when not for humor purposes).

My family is genetically diverse; there are nuclear and honorary family members alike. Three little sisters as a step-ladder and two parents; a few besties and some acquaintances. A couple Internet buddies. Quite a few honorary aunts. Some relatives across the pond. All of the above are more than slightly abnormal.

My writing... is a fickle pickle. I'll go months, maybe a year without putting down anything serious, but then I'll get bit and I'm doing 25 pages a day. Sometimes my brain's on overdrive, sometimes the words flow from my fingers like water down a set of falls--rarely do the two things coincide on a day. But when it does happen... I'm never happier or more content with life than when I have a story brewing somewhere on my computer. It has also matured as I have, which is the reason I'm redoing my profile.

I feel like I'm best at writing AR--Alternate Realities, which is basically a novelization of a storyline with a twist thrown in. See Special Gifts. Sometimes I don't even do the whole story, just bits with my specific flavors; Tim's Two Families and The Psychoanalysis of Benjamin Weir are examples of the latter.

My fandoms... the first was W.I.T.C.H, during my eighth-grade magical girl phase (we all have them, I feel unashamed in admitting it). Then came Danny Phantom, and Static Shock, NCIS, Leverage, Bones, How to Train Your Dragon, The Sorcerer's Apprentice 2010, My Babysitter's a Vampire, Misfits, Supernatural, Yu-Gi-Oh, The Avengers, Sherlock, Merlin, Hotel Transylvania, Blue Beetle, Ultimate and Spectacular Spiderman, Generator Rex, Deadpool, Randy Cunningham 9th Grade Ninja, One Piece, and a slew of others in various places between, in roughly that order. I've written fic for most-if-not-all and more of these, but only posted a few--they are below, if you're curious.

(It may not count, but if I were to pick a fandom-for-outside-the-Internet, I'd pick the Arthurian legends. I'm thinking about becoming a bio- or osteoarchaeologist and working on skeletons from around that time in England, or earlier in Ireland. Basically: Celtic mythology is my craic.)

Favorite People... outside my family? They'd have to be actors, mostly, because I don't get out much. Jay Baruchel and Jason Marsden, Colin Morgan. Various characters across my fandoms, because let's face it, to at least a certain extent, fans are more familiar and can connect with characters better than they can with actors or even people they know face to face. There're also some authors and organizations in there--Make-A-Wish, JK Rowling, Neil Gaiman, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (poor ba$tard), St. Jude and Lebonhuer Hospital. John and Hank Green (though I can't physically touch The Fault in Our Stars because I know how painful it'll be for me), Tamora Pierce.

Favorite Movies... How to Train Your Dragon, Sorcerer's Apprentice 2010, all four Indiana Joneses, the black and white Clue movie, Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World, Horrible Bosses, Murder by Death, Hulk ('08 version, sorry Bana but '03 kinda sucked), Iron Man (all three), The Avengers, Paranorman, Rise of the Guardians... How to Train Your Dragon 2, though not as much as the first one. Hotel Transylvania. I liked Justin and the Knights of Valor, too.

I'm currently an Honors Biology Pre-Med/Anthropology double major at Ole Miss (I won't say go Rebs because I'm not a big football fan and honestly? The insanity around here during football season frightens me, often), and I'm gluing a Classics minor on there too. Current career interest: osteo-/regular archaeologist on the Irish Celts, or Arthurian myths.

I don't have any pets (dorm won't allow it) but I have two plants, named Ferdina and Bambi, and we have 11 cats at home, plus a dog, Pepper. Our old dog, Winston, died of cancer a week after my 14th birthday, at a ripe old age of 8--when he wasn't supposed to live past five, as a puppy mill dog. He was our sweetheart and we loved him just as much as he loved us.

After 13 years of faithful serving, our bright purple minivan died in April 2009. Purpy (I named her at age like two) went out saving our lives, specifically my oldest little sisters' and my dad's as well as mine. She was a Hummer in her own respect and I salute her with my still-aching arms. Few minivans over the age of 10, even one with a replaced transmission, and especially one with enough mileage to go to the moon, around it, and come back, could hit an SUV and still protect her passengers and driver.

I have Cystic Fibrosis. My littlest sister has Cystic Fibrosis too, not that you'd guess looking at her. I don't want pity, and though sympathy is appreciated, it's unnecessary. I'm comfortable enough putting it on here because it's just another part of my life. That being said, even as a relatively mild case, I will stand for every disabled and genetically disordered human being, whether they look or seem healthy or not. Please do not use any ableist terms when reviewing (such as 'retarded' or a comment like are you one of those special people); #ell, see above about the first thing that I dislike, and try to write without insulting any broad swathe of humanity.

SWEARING EXPLANATION: My propensity to not swear does not mean that I think I'm better than you. At all. It's a defense mechanism I created because I have a serious problem in the mouth department; when it decides to open, it goes at about 206 miles an hour and doesn't think too hard about what escapes. So instead of swearing at everyone I meet and possibly coming off as rude or, God forbid, I teach a child a swearword, I've made myself learn to use alternative curses.

In speech, I euphemize a lot. 'Shist' is a type of metamorphic rock (Journey to the Center of the Earth, eat your heart out) and it also means six in Russian.

'Numpty' is actually a British swearword, like for idiot, but I like the sound of it, and in the US, no one recognizes it as vulgar.

'Flip', 'Fudge', 'Fudgenut', 'Flipnickel', etc., I don't think I really need to explain.

I recently learned that 'mother-father' wasn't something original I made up--apparently it's been around for ages?

In my writing, I try to stay true to how the characters would react, given their ages, genders, canon, and personalities. Some exceptions are made (Earth Day), but that's for creative purposes. Since I won't say or write the actual swears for fear of going down the slippery slope into true vulgarity, I instead replace the words with something legible--$hit, dam#, fu(k, I could go on at length--mostly because just a bunch of @#$%@ always annoyed me when I read it; I wanted to know what they were saying. This way, you can infer it. Sorry if it does annoy you still, but that's how I do things.

My Ships (and Fav Fics...)

I will read anything once. Part of being in a fandom is accepting ships you're not comfortable with, and realizing that some of the best fics are underneath that ship umbrella; even if I disgree, I'm more than willing to put aside my disagreement to enjoy a good story.

I don't really work actively on ships. If a relationship is part of what defines a character, I'll write it; otherwise, I'm more a friendship kinda person.

W.I.T.C.H. (show): Matt/Will, Cornelia/Caleb, Taranee/Nigel, Hay/Eric. I could see Irma and Martin. [See Shiroi Misa's entire collection of Matt works; I got my inspiration for Earth Day from her, they're brilliant.)

Danny Phantom: Danny/Sam (I can see the love for Val/Danny, but I liked how that friend-relationship was progressing before PP; let's just all ignore season 3 together, shall we?), maybe Tucker/Val, and I still ship Jazz with Peter Cook from W.I.T.C.H., because of one line from one fic that I fell in love with ages ago. (Oooh, too many. Cordria's got a million good reads, like Real Life. Hornswaggler too--Creation of a Phantom. Quill N. Inque--Shadows of the Past--and HiddenAuthor--Complications--are my favorites.)

Static Shock: not a shipper here, really. Except Sharon/Adam, they're precious. (VincentM. Check the guy out, it's great.)

NCIS: see above. I was McAbby once, but they've grown too far since. (Emerald1. My first favorite author on here, she's absolutely amazing. I also liked The Fruit of the Dead.)

My Babysitter's A Vampire: Ethan/Sarah... nothing positive past that.

Misfits: Simon/Alisha was okay. Maybe a hint of Nathan/Kelly? I really fricking miss Nathan, okay?

Yu-Gi-Oh!: Puzzleshipping. The brother-relationship is solid canon, but I really like the fics that have them as halves of one soul. Whatever the code is for Bakura/Ryou, because they're adorable. (Jeebus, so many. YGO The College Years for non-shippers. Homecoming, Sight the King, Alias of Chaos, A More Complicated Puzzle... I watched YGO for a solid year, okay?)

Merlin: Ironically enough considering the above 'halves of one' comment, I don't ship Merlin/Arthur; neither, however, do I adore Freya. Merlin's kinda a bachelor to me. However: Arthur/Gwen all the way. (LOADED MARCH. LOADED MARCH LOADED MARCH LOADED MARCH. It's only on Ao3 and it's (explicit) Merthur but it's the best and l-o-n-g-e-s-t fic I've ever read on any site ever I swear to God, all fandoms included. Through the Eyes of Minerva's Owl. A Modern Manservant. THE VOICE IN THE DREAM. Only a Boy and Harry Potter and the Return of Merlin are HP crossovers, but you won't regret either, especially the first one.)

Quotes (from real life):

"Are they paying you for that?" - "I can pay you with my love and adoration." - "That's the worst currency ever. I can't even go to Walmart with that $hit." --My sister's friends who I don't know and possibly her, so really, anonymous

"Imagine the time we could've spent being productive!/ Who could've guessed the Internet would become so obstructive?/ But I can't help myself these characters are so seductive... My friends all judge and they question my obsession./... Fictional characters would consume my life-life-life-life/ Tumblr Fandom Style!" --Tumblr Fandom Style lyrics

"GO, Johnny, GO!" --My sisters

"Hey Tibki-Hey Tibki! Remember that time-remember the time we had fun?" -- My littlest sister

"Paper or plastic?" - "Yes."-- A Cashier and Mom

My second youngest sister, who thinks weird and has a similar mouth problem to mine but without the fear of vulgarity:

"How do mermaids reproduce?"

"Nooooo not the white cars!" -- while high on laughing gas and acting on her belief that if she dies on the road, it'll be due to a white truck.

"Eyebrows are important." / "Yes! You look fu(king as fu(k without them--fu(k." --a debate about what body part you could live without

"You don't know what it's like to sleep by her. She farts and turns, and kicks her face with my foot." -- should be, her foot, my face

"Blood vessels burst in my veins." --after dealing with our dad

"You always have the fu(king-est laugh. Fu(ky-est?"

"Wait. I just realized you remarked about bestiality, and I just said that Cat has a shapely a$$."

"I like the Hulk better than Buce Banner. I mean Bruce Banner. Goddam#it."

"I think your bed could do without the stabbing." --continues to stab her mattress with a metal comb as she watches Firefly

"How do I make my foot stop itching?"/ "Cut your head off. ... I meant your foot."

"English is not always cooperate." --after another one of these quotes

"Wake me @ 6:00? PLEASE? 'Cause I have this math homework I didn't do and a physics test although [the teacher] is NOT HERE and I'm sleepy and not waiting for you to come home [from work] and I need to wake up early, but to do that, I first need to go to sleep, and I'll probably dream about some crazy stuff 'cause I stayed up and it'll be like, some polka dot penguins attacking people with Lucky Charms, and I mean, LUCKY CHARMS? LIKE, REALLY?
Any idiot with half a brain would go for the Cocoa Puffs.
Stupid penguins.
NOW LOOK WHAT YOU'VE DONE. So wake me up at 6, and we'll be fine." --Note from my oldest little sister

"TIBKI!" -- The Distress Call

The 27 Commandments of Fanfiction

1. Thou shalt not post a fic until it has been checked for grammar and spelling errors. The fanfiction gods hath given you a spellchecker on the computer for good reason. Use it.

2.Thou shalt not post a chapter of less than 100 words, unless it is a drabble. This displeases the masses.

What, you mean people don't like seeing the dumb World of War ads on the top and bottom of the page at the same time?

3.Thou shalt not put author's notes in the middle of the story.

(A/N) kjmnkljbkj, lol my cat just walked over my keyboard and I decided to include it because he is my babu.

4.Thou shalt NEVER use text-speak in a fic, unless the characters are actually texting.

lol f(k u h8r I cn rite how I f(kin want

5.Thou shalt keep to one tense, and only one, throughout the story. Do not switch randomly.

"He didn't write anything and instead dances across the platform."

6.Apply the above number 5 to POVs as well.

Serious note: I'm not the only one who's noticed authors making one-paragraph-per-person reactions to some $hit going down in front of multiple main characters, right? One paragraph is "_ thought" and the next is "_ thought"? Is this an acceptable form of writing?

7. Thou shalt not get offended when someone makes fun of the crack pairing featured in your fanfiction. It probably is rather hilarious.

Exception: Lily getting together with Snape when he was still a racist ba$tard. Please shoot that the #ell down. Lily wouldn't take that $hit for one minute, and canon!Lily didn't.

8.Thou shalt not use :) , ;D, or :( in a fanfiction to show the emotion exhibited by a character.

See Commandment 4. Though if anyone ever learns how to say these things aloud without sounding like a total shoob, let me know.

9.Thou shall try-eth to keep characters in character!

Serious note: the above, and if you can't, just give it your best shot. is a place to learn how to write; learning how to keep people in-character is part of it, so don't worry if you feel like your first hundred tries sucked. Everyone's did. Just keep working at it, never let yourself lag.

10.Thou shall not treat every criticism as a flame.

Best advice for the world: if no one actually gets hurt, do your best not to take offense. And for the love of God, never act on any offense you do feel. Bad vibes feed bad vibes, man.

11.The author's note is not a spot for your personal drama, and thou shalt not make it so.

(...I disagree with this to an extent. I've read some hilarious Author's Notes; it reminds me that the author is a fan just like me. However, if the story means the A/N takes up an enormous part of the web page, THEN I support this.)

12.Thou shalt not put any form of the phrase "first fic" in thy summary.

Hide your insecurities until they don't exist anymore. Be unapologetic and power through the awkwardness and you'll come out okay, I promise.

13. Thy created characters must not have names that exceed five syllables in length. Nor shall thy name have more than five words in length.

Ebony Dark'ness Dementia Raven Way. We're all looking at you. (Also, "created characters" is so much more dignified than "OC".)

14. Thou shall not insert thyself into the story line as thyself or as a character- yes we know that you are in love with yourself and are very narcissistic, we just don’t want to read about how you end up with the main character.

This is an important step in becoming a writer; however, realizing that self-insertion is rarely true literature is a more important step. Everyone does it, but eventually everyone also realizes that this is early, pre-posting-age work. There are exceptions to this; fu(king Utopia by Thomas More was a fu(king self-insert and it was a big enough hit that it fu(king added a word to the dictionary.

15.If thou art writing a story that does not follow the original story line, point it out in the beginning.

Never forget to list an AR or AU as such. Never EVER list one as in-canon. That is a cruel trick and you will be punished in Fanfiction #ell by flaming reviews and Ebony Dark'ness Dementia Way, who is queen of the joint.

16.Thou shall not make a person randomly smart or powerful unless stating a reason for the change (a good reason).

IF YOUR CHARACTER IS DUMB AS A ROCK DON'T LET THEM KNOW HOW TO USE THE WORD "SUCCINCTLY". This also feeds into the in-character commandment. Also, a character being over-powered is a thing and it is a thing you should avoid.

17.Thou shalt show and not tell.

Braggers got no swagger.

18.Thou shalt not EVER use the phrase "I suck at summaries" in-est thine summary. This annoys thine readers.

We know you suck at summaries. Wanna know how? Because we just read it, and your proclamation has wasted word space in its redundancy. This Commandment is underlined when you use the phrase "sry summary sux".

19.Thou shalt not write the same way thou speak-est- writing is an art.

Admittedly, I have a problem with this myself. Which is usually why I stick in first-person, because then it's forgivable... as long as its in-character.

20.Thou shalt ALWAYS spell the word "okay" correctly. Using the letter "K" is an unacceptable compromise.

OK falls under the text-speech no-no umbrella. If your character uses a dialogue that doesn't pronounce the 'o' part of the word, then type it like "Kay." Note the apostrophe marking it as slang.

21. Thou shalt only use clichés when thou a) art writing a parody or b) find a new and interesting twist to make such clichés bearable to thine reader.

Exceptions exist. Sometimes you just want a good, kitschy coffee-shop AU to tuck you into bed at night.

22. Thou shalt always separate dialogue from two separate speakers in two separate paragraphs. Otherwise thine readers shalt be confuse-ed.

""Blahblahblah" "Blah blah" he argued back" is the WORST. It makes blocky paragraphs and that ruins a reader's flow; because of that, it'll be almost impossible to read.

23. Thou shalt not EVER make a chapter all one paragraph. THIS INFURIATES BOTH THINE READER AND THE FANFICTION GODS. They have given thee an ENTER key with good reason.

BLOCK. CHAPTERS. ARE. THE. WORST.

24. Thou shalt not write with thy caps lock on, it displeases the masses and causes thy readers to lose their vision and make angels weep.

(Looks at 23) ...oops.

25. Thou shalt know how to spell the character's names correctly before you writeth the fic. Misspelling the name of the main characters makes readers angry and distracts from the story.

Lolonoa Zolo. We're all looking at you. I don't care if its 4Kids canon, if you're on a) someone should've told you to switch the #ell to Funimation already, what the fu(k, did you see what happened to Kuina and b) you should know that it's Roronoa Zoro by now! On a related note, Monkey D. Rufy sounds like a date-rape drug's street name.

26. Thou shalt not say in thine summary "summary inside". This shows lack of creativeness and infuriates the masses. The only exception is when a summary is cut short and a continuation of it lies inside.

Summaries are the wonderful-smelling appetizers that entice readers, drawing them forth like a well-laid bait draws the fish. If you put a click-wall in front of the worm, you will get no fish. Also, if you knowingly do this in order to boost your "visit" numbers, you are one of the worst forms of trash on this site.

27. Thou shall use paragraphs and space the story so it is not terrifyingly daunting to thine readers.

See my comment on block paragraphs and chapters. Flow is vital to writing; a story must be as visually pleasing as it is mentally. Screw it up, and your reader numbers will plummet.

OH and I'm on tumblr now! author-of-the-unfinished, which says a lot about my basic writing style... *sweatdrop*

So my sister on FF apparently put down my username and tumblr and my other sister's tumblr on her profile. IsomorphicTARDIS is my little sister and let me just say SHE'S ONLY GOT LIKE A QUARTER OF AN INCH ON ME SHE'S STILL A MUNCHKIN HEIGHT IS REGARDLESS.

Um. Yeah, that's about it. PEACE.
