Madness is not seeing things that are not there. It is not madness when the illusions start talking. It is madness when you start talking back.

Shadows. Shadows everywhere.

You have always avoided the abandoned building. The one in the middle of nowhere, that no sane person would go to. But now you enter, on a foolish dare, wishing you could back out.

Inside, you are quite disappointed. Instead of the skeletons and cobwebs you were expecting, you find nothing but shelves of books. You pick one up and wipe the dust off of the cover. The title simply reads 'Prime 10.' You open it up and skim through the pages until you stop. After a certain point, the words stop, leaving empty pages with areas of text spaced unevenly out. And even as you watch, the missing text and paragraphs fade into view, as if someone was writing it in.

You suppress a shiver as you place the book where you found it. You make your way forward, deeper into the building. In the corner of your vision, you catch a glimpse of a light. Turning toward it, you follow it until you come to the source. It is a crystal globe mounted on a bronze stand, pulsing with inner magic. Shifting patterns are faintly visible on the surface, constantly displaying new images.

As you approach, you hear the scratch-scratch of a quill. The sound comes from a metal man seated at a desk. He is facing away from you, concentrating on his work, the winder mounted in his back slowly turning. Sensing your presence, he turns to face you. He doesn't have any facial features, just two eyes cut from clouded crystal, yet it does little to disguise the intelligence behind the lenses.

He speaks, with a voice that is rusty from disuse. What he speaks is not any language you have heard before, but you understand him all the same. "Greetings and welcome to the LibraryNexus. I am Bibliothekar; the keeper of this realm, the Teller of Tales, and the Weaver of Dreams."

I will not publish any slash. So don't ask.

I will not abandon a story. Nothing saddens me more than a forgotten story. Updates may be slow, but I will finish them.

Done with college for this year. I don't have reliable Internet access at home, but I still will try to get an update every other week.

Sorry for the lack of chapters this past month. Things were crazy: I got a job that has kept me busy, and college has started back up. And to top it all off, I've had writer's block. Again, sorry.
