I am basically going to be writing several fan fictions on some of my favorite things: Star Wars, Pokémon, Frozen, RWBY, Phantom of the Opera, and many others (as they come up). I like fantasy genres and some sci-fi, and I'm getting more into anime so I might write some about those too.

Hey RWBY! Probably going to have the most stories for this category. I already have 6 stories with RWBY in it, but I have another 8 that I definitely want to explore, several have already begun writing.

1. Always Watches [In progress] Blurb: Ruby gets a particular game, and now notes are being found everywhere with a tall faceless man in them. RWBY/Slender Crossover. Will be rated 'M'.

2. Stark Contrast [In progress] Blurb: Through no fault of her own, Ruby gets sent into another reality where the Hunters are the bad guys, Ozpin rules the world, and Torchwick is actually an O.k. person. Oh, and another Ruby was sent back in her place who isn't as sweet. Warning: Rated 'M' for a reason!

I made a RWBY one-shot for Memorial Day. Bring Me to the Place You Rest [Complete] Blurb: After all is done, there are a few who remain and remember the cost of peace; those that have lived when others have not.

I just made a Harry Potter and RWBY crossover titled RWBHY: The Aura Mage [In progress] Blurb: Six-year old Harry gets sent to Remnant and meets Ruby and Yang. He gets Hunter training and is sent back to his first year at Hogwarts. The Wizarding world isn't ready for him. [RubyxHarry MagicPetals(?)] pairing.

There's another crossover that I just made just titled Rise. Fem!Harry is Cinder Fall.

I just made another RWBY crossover, this time with The Hobbit titled, An Unexpected Rose [In progress] Blurb: A misplaced sneeze causes raw Dust to explode and send Ruby into Middle-Earth. Now in the company of thirteen Dwarves and a Hobbit, she needs to find her way back to Remnant.

Writing tips

Some things I look for in a story:

1. A good plot. Usually what makes me keep reading a story is where it is going. I like ones that I can see are interesting and have a good grasp of what is going on and where the writer wants it to go.

2. Grammer. Bad grammar obviously makes a story go south really fast. If it's a few slip-ups, I can probably get over it. Otherwise, I probably won't get through the first chapter. Same goes with...

3. Spelling/punctuation. PLEASE use any form of spell check you have. Throws me off almost as much as grammar. If it's just a common mistake, it's fine since I can't claim to do any better than you. but if its like this and the speling is relly bad then i find it hard to reed a probaly wont reed it at all. (It hurts me to even write this)
(P.S. alot and a lot are two different things. Also quite (absolutely) and quiet (silence). Also You're and Your have two different meanings! You're is an abbreviation of 'you are', like 'you're wrong/right'. Your is possessive, like 'your book', or 'your life'.)

4. Characters. Having good, 3D, involving characters is what distinguishes a piece of writing to a piece of art. Another thing to keep in mind is that most characters are human and they make mistakes. They aren't perfect. Have their speech reflect this and their memory as well. Most people don't have eidetic memory.
I also know writing children is difficult, but most don't talk and/or behave like a fully grown adult.
And even though this is FanFiction, unless it's an OC character, please spell their names right. Please? Same goes for places.

5. Word Count. Not necessarily important, but more often than not the better stories have more words in them than the ones not so well written. Also it confounds me how it seems that some "stories" have more chapters than words... (not really since that is technically impossible, but it seems like it.)

6. Formatting. Some forget that spaces in-between paragraphs and dialogue are important. "Writing dialogue is nice.""It sure is.""But sometimes it's hard to read.""Like when?""Yeah? Like when?""Like right now?""Yep, because if there are more than two people talking, then the reader has no idea who's talking then."

"Oh so like this?"

"Much better. It's even worse when people don't put quotation marks in." Both (") and (') Works.

7. Summary. if the summary isnt properly written then theres little chance ill read it. A major thing that makes me NOT want to read a story is where it starts off with "What if ...?" and the next three-five sentences are all "What if?" questions for the whole summary. Just for some reason I hate dislike seeing those summaries. I don't know what it is - it just screams "bad writing" to me.

Note: I think of Crystal and Lyra as two different people; Crystal from the version name, and Lyra from HG/SS. (Crystal, more badass than Lyra in my opinion)
For anime shipping: Lots of Ash here. Support [AshXMay] (best pair in my opinion, tied with...), [AshXSerena]. [AshXDawn] (second best, tied with...) [AshXAnabel] (check out From One Side to Another), [AshXyoungCynthia] (i.e: Chronicles of the Chosen One: Pokemon Master specifically Ch5- onward),
slight [AshXMisty] although I don't see much chemistry myself, though if written right the match can be good.
Same goes for [AshxIris, though I have seen about 5 stories take that route.
can deal with [AshXHarem] but only two or three stories really do it right. (i.e: in other words, don't make Ash have every single girl in the world),
strangely I support [BrockXLucy(from the Battle Frontier)] or [BrockXSolidad].

Frozen: Still surprised I got into this. Support [KristoffXAnna] (Krisanna, right?),
can do [ElsaXOC] if done right,
vary rarely [ElsaXAnna] (Elsanna) and ONLY if done right (i.e: A Snowflake in Spring, In the Service of the Queen, or The Queen's Mercy. The thing those stories do is build the emotional connection and take their time in building the romance. Really don't like incest, since it's usually for a one-shot smutty fic. Honestly, there are too many Elsanna stories out there (even though I'm now writing one). I know we're all horny degenerates, but tone down the smut people! Just because Elsa doesn't have a love interest in doesn't mean you should pair her with her SISTER!

Phantom of the Opera: really only two shippings I support,
[ErikXChristine] whom I think really should have been together, (i.e: Lost Love by bo-leigh bella)
and [ErikXOC] Examples: Second Chance by weepingwillow2616 (best one, my opinion), Teach me to Sing by Neko-Tenchi, and literally everything written by nibblesfan.

Harry Potter: So many variations here from such great writers,
[HarryXGinny]. [HarryXHermione]. [HarryXLuna]. [HarryXFlur] sometimes works, though too many have her as just a side harem character, or for smut.
[HermioneXRon]if it isn't a Ron bashing story, although I personally see very little chemistry between them
[NevilleXLuna]. [RemusXTonks].
[HarryX Daphne Greengrass] surprising that this combination works, but there are a lot of good stories with this pairing.

There are a few other parings that I like as well, including a couple oddball ones that clever authors make work.

On a side note, I frankly find it disturbing how many [HarryXDraco] [HarryXSnape] and [HarryXVoldemort/Tom Riddle] stories there are. Nothing personal against those that ship them, just I don't... I don't even... Why? (Specially the last two)

RWBY: This is actually one of the few categories where I really have no issue with parings. Almost anything goes here.

Bumblebee-[BlakexYang] - (I'm starting to dislike this one because it's getting rammed down our throats in the show.)
Checkmate-[BlakexWeiss]. - (Not enough of it in Fanfiction)

Lost in Fanfiction

I'm starting a new section where I put stories that I feel are good but have been lost into Fanfiction purgatory. I'll give the title with an embedded link, then the Author, what it's from, and a short blurb/review about it. Lets see how this goes. Most stories/Authors can be found on my favorites list.

1. Through the rain curtain - by Eledhwen. Doctor Who & Lord of the Rings. The ninth Doctor takes Tolkien to Middle Earth and inspires him to write the epic we all know and love.
2. The Serpent Court - by whitetigerwolf. Harry Potter. One of the better Dark Harry/Hermione stories, unfortunately unfinished.
3. The Strange Disappearance of SallyAnne Perks - by Paimpoint. Harry Potter. This is a great mystery/ghost story, and Harry Potter FF doesn't have enough of this.
4. The Aura is with the Forgotten - by Gerbilftw. Pokémon. Great Pokémon story set in the medieval era with battles and war.
5. DADA boycott - by Midnighter 13. Harry Potter. If Hogwarts boycotted Unbridge's class, this would probably be the result. Unfortunately unfinished.
6. Schnee and Ice - by Owl Writer. RWBY & Frozen. Anna and Elsa are reincarnated into Ruby and Weiss. Oneshot. Sweet and short, leaving much to the imagination.
7. Pokemon Adventures: AshGray Chapter - by Could Not Think Of A Good Name (OG: Good enough for me). Pokémon. Anime and Manga crossover of Pokémon. Red and the rest of the dex holders come into the Animeverse and they must work with Ash and Co. to save the world(s) from Team Rocket... both versions! [Edit: apparently this has been deleted from FF.N :(
8. Stepping out from a Shadow - by 92fireDemon. Pokémon. Red and Cynthia pairing. Cynthia finds Red on top of his mountain and things progress from there.
9. E L S A - by cgtrial. Frozen. Elsa is a super solider with no memory, and tries to make her own life outside the military. Doesn't exactly go as planned, especially when she runs into Anna (not sisters and not paired).
10. Yveltal Rising - by MaverickKayPrime. Pokémon. Great story with Serena and Lyra. Really intense at parts and a really great story (wait I said that already). Go check it out!
11. Ascension - by iSparks. Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Focuses on the first steps Ahsoka takes when she leaves the Order. Unfortunately incomplete, but good for what it has.
12. The Journey Never Ends - by Waras. Pokémon. Team Rocket returns and Ash is the Pokémon Master, but focuses on the well written OC character instead of him. Well done and thought out.
13. The Monster - by littlemagicme. Frozen. What we all wanted to happen in Frozen, just earlier. The king is an asshole, beware.
14. The Mercenary - by Lord-of-Change. Teen Titans. Dark, but not demonic Raven who has powers, but she just doesn't use them often and is instead a gun chick and takes on the Titans mainly for amusement. Has a sorta RobinxRaven vibe throughout.
15. Those Silver Eyes - by OldSchoolVinny. RWBY. This author's imagining of Summer Rose's last few days and the reason she died in the line of duty. Also with a side of Cinder Fall.
16. On the edge of Humanity - by Master Dude the 21st. RWBY. What would happen if Team RWBY embraced the darker side of life? They become the four most dangerous people on Remnant. But is it for the right reasons? Can good come from evil acts?
17. Ever After - by ghaaaaaaaaaa. RWBY. After they're done saving the world, it spits back at them. "A cripple, a criminal, a killer and an alcoholic." This is the story of RWBY pulling together after the world turns their backs on them.
18. The Longest Night - by HolyOrdersOtaku. RWBY. Ruby has a dream about the apocalypse and her worst fears come true when events happen that are exactly like her dream. Now they must fight for the survival of humanity. Character deaths. (Check out the sequel!)
19. The Storm Inside Of Me - by Nixie Delor. Frozen. Modern day Elsa has Dissociative Identity Disorder and her magic. That mix doesn't turn out well. Some f*cked up shit in here, but it's a good story. Sequel.
20. Voices - by Lugubrious DBB. Frozen. Lugubrious has made an awesome Frozen universe so please go check these stories out! Lugubrious currently has 14 Frozen stories that have a mix of other Disney and OC characters in them. Voices is just the first.
21. Tarkin's Fist - by AshlaTi. Star Wars. Ever wonder if the Empire found Earth? Set in the close future, AshlaTi paints a vivid realistic picture of what a war with the Empire would look like. It isn't pretty for us Earthlings. "The people of Earth may never again reach the stars, but one thing was absolute. Earth was their planet." Currently a trilogy (part 2, part 3); the first gets a little repetitive and stretches out a bit, but worth it. The stories have a lot of references (a whole chapter is based off a Firefly episode) and modern people.
22. The Rogue Rose - by xxnarwhalxx. RWBY. After the Breach, Ruby is tried and sentenced on trumped up charges. With her dream of being a Huntress denied to her, she joins the Redemption Corps, a group of criminals sent to the front lines to fight Grimm. Over the years she questions what it means to be a Huntress, and whether it's worth it or not. Obviously mature/bad-ass Ruby and raises points about the glorification and romanticism of being a Hunter...
23. Nevermore - by midwestern-duchess. RWBY. Ruby's the last Huntress of Beacon in name, Weiss is on the run for apparently killing Qrow, and Blake's trying to save the people of Vale from the fear of Captain Yang Xiao Long, the 'Sun Dragon', and General Winter Schnee of the occupying Atlesian army. Another good 'everything's wrong with the world' kind of story. Blasted through this story.
24. All According to Plan - by SerapeWrensFolk. RWBY. Cinder's plan is enacted, but a third party hijacks it and goes rogue to bring about her own desires. That third party is Ruby Rose. Has a plotting Ruby that will do anything to completely wipe out the Grimm, including stealing Amity Colosseum and using it as a weapon against mankind's greatest foe.
25. The New Flames Of Hope - by ArchSinccubus. RWBY. Yang gets an idea to recover, and eventually creates a new arm made out of pure Dust. I really enjoy this!
26. Remnant Divided - by caruso2951. RWBY & Star Wars. The Empire found Remnant four years ago and has it under a tightening occupation due to the Dust it holds. but there is brewing discontent with their rule and the 'traitors' that have all but sold their world to the Empire, with Team RWBY dispersed around Remnant and among the stars. This deserves a lot more favorites than it does and is very well written! Please look at it!
27. Synthesis - by ArcturusWolf. Harry Potter. Three children made by muggle science have magic, and eventually go to Hogwarts. The story's only a little past the 1st year, but already the ripples they're making are growing. Doesn't feature Harry in a major role and focuses on the 3 OC's along with Hermione and Daphne Greengrass. Definitely unique in many aspects! Apparently this is a rewrite of the author's previous story, still in progress.
28. Hyphen - by Dermonster. Pokémon. So a Ralts becomes a Pokémon trainer. How? Well it all started when a newbe tried to catch her and missed with the Poké Ball, then she found it. Curiosity about the human world sparked and the newly christened Astra journeys to become the Champion... Why? Well read and find out. A refreshing Pokémon story for me and I encourage you all to read it!
