The God of Destruction comes to Remnant

An: So guys, just a head's up: as you've seen, I have been doing five chapters a piece for these arcs for the girls in the harem (with the exception of Mosura, and Coco and Velvet, who share an arc), but I've ran into a problem here. I needed more time for Weiss and Gojira to connect before I ended the arc. So, I've come up with this: I'll be using this chapter and the next one to continue what I'm planning, then I'll conclude Weiss's arc with two to three chapters covering the big fight I had planned for the fifth chapter and the aftermath of said fight.

And just to let y'all know, I am fully caught up with Vol. 7 of RWBY and will be adding elements shown in the volume to my story, and I will go back through my other chapters and change Dr. Polendina's name from "Copper" to "Pietro."

And I'd like to give a massive shoutout to Lincoln Time, AUNBRIE, and LcyanGod13 for all their help with this chapter. Thank you, my friends! I really appreciate all your help in getting this chapter out!

Now with that out of the way, here's the new chapter!

Chapter XVIII-Snow Princess meets Daikaiju 4

Schnee Manor; temporary military encampment, Atlas; 3:46 P.M.

"Ok, people, let's try this again. For real, this time!" Dr. Pietro said to the team.

The scientists in the room nodded in agreement as they went about preparing for the experiment again. Gojira watched them from his position at the back of the makeshift tent they were currently occupying. Soldiers of the 107th division went forward to replace the spent Dust in the portable containment box before them.

For the past forty-five minutes, the scientists were attempting to radioactively charge a vial of Dust. Each attempt was met with disappointment the vial of Dust failed to be charged. The soldiers, as per Gojira's orders, were decked out in hazmat equipment and treading very carefully around the containment box. He watched the monitor as the team carefully placed a vial of unpurified Dust powder in the box, figuring they'd be witness to another failure.

It was one reason why he, reluctantly mind you, allowed them to research nuclear energy. He was absolutely confident in the fact that they'd never recreate it. From what he gathered in his research and talking with Dr. Polendina, he was pretty sure that nuclear energy was nothing but a pipe dream for them.

Of course, this was a double-edged sword, as it meant he might not actually get home if they couldn't, but he held out hope that Dr. Polendina could come up with some other idea to get him home.

As he waited for the next test, he observed the others in the tent. Dr. Polendina was at the controls, obviously, as other technicians bustled around several other holo-screens. The elder Schnee daughter stood stoically at the window of the tent, eyes fixed on the containment box. He released a silent scoff at her. She had been sending him so many glares since his arrival that he was starting to grow annoyed with her.

On the other hand, her sister (who, on a whim, decided to indulge her curiosity on nuclear energy) hadn't even said a word to him. She wasn't even looking his way, which was fine for him. She was currently observing the soldiers replacing the Dust, her features were set in a thoughtful frown.

He tore his gaze from her and turned to the last Schnee in the room, the brother. Whitley was currently sitting close to the viewing window, scribbling down several notes as he observed the others. Before he was standing near the technicians and watched as they worked their last attempt. Gojira hummed in thought. He wondered what the boy's motivations were when he asked to observe the tests. Power? Prestige? The humanized Kaiju knew something drove the younger Schnee, but he couldn't quite place the desire.

Perhaps if he knew that, then he could begin his plan to break the male Schnee of the parasite's hold properly.

"Dr. Polendina, the Dust has been set," a soldier radioed in.

"Good! Good!" Pietro said with a nod. "Clear out. We're about to commence!"

"Sir!" The soldiers began racing away from the containment box. Pietro nodded to his fellow scientists and began the sequence to begin their next attempt. Lights flashed quickly from the console as Pietro began getting giddy in his robotic chair.

"This is it! I can feel it!" he said happily. Gojira suppressed a sigh.

'Here comes another failure,' he thought in boredom, leaning against the support beam of the tent and crossed his arms.

The process began. The devices began whirling with energy before it discharged towards the vial of Dust. Everyone's attention was on the screen as the Dust swirled around in the vial, seemingly carried by an unseen wind. Pietro's grin split his face as he turned a dial, decreasing the amount of energy flowing towards the vial.

However, this destabilized the vial, causing it to blow up. Everyone, save Gojira and Jack, flinched back at the explosion. Gojira snorted.

"Truly, science does not change," he couldn't help but call out. "Everything it touches seems to blow up."

Winter growled and turned to the Kaiju. "Tell me, is this the part where you offer some meaningful advice? Or are you just going to continue standing there making snide, unwelcome comments?!" she sneered angrily. Gojira narrowed his eyes at her.

"Are you just going to stand there and glare at me because you lost to me at Mantle?" he asked, making the specialist seethe.

"That was a draw, at best!"

"Ok! I'm going to put a stop to this before the two get into another fight!" Jack called out, coming up between them. "This is not the time, nor the place for you two to go at it!" Winter and Gojira continued to glare at each other for a moment before Winter threw her hands up in exasperation and walked away. The Monster King scoffed and turned his head away from the elder Schnee daughter.

"I just don't understand what went wrong!" a scientist near Pietro mused in frustration. "We did everything right this time!"

"We almost succeeded, Dr. Plum," Pietro said. "I'll take that as a win for today." He sighed wearily. "Still, it would have been nice to have gotten it right this time!" He turned to everyone and called out, "Alright everyone! That's enough for today! We'll start again first thing in the morning!" The group nodded and began to leave the tent.

"Hold up, Dr. Polendina!" Startled, Pietro turned around to see Whitley walking up to him. Gojira had been about to leave as well when he heard Whitley's call. He turned to the youngest Schnee and raised an eyebrow. Winter and Weiss did the same.

"Oh! Uh…yes, Whitley, my boy?" Pietro asked uncertainly. "Can I help you?"

"Yes, sir!" Whitley nodded, face set in a firm frown. "I was actually wondering if you would allow me to try charging a vial of Dust."

"Whitley! This is a serious and dangerous scientific experiment! Not a science project!" Winter reprimanded him. He looked to her, annoyed, but he didn't snap back at her.

"I am well aware of the seriousness of the endeavor," he said amicably. "That is why I was asking Dr. Polendina for permission to attempt the test with his supervision. I have been observing both the scientists working the controls and the Dust itself when under the energy current, and I think I might have a method of radioactively charging the Dust without it, well, forgive my bluntness, blowing up."

This, predictably, had everyone turn his way. Gojira's eyes narrowed at the proclamation. Pietro, meanwhile, lit up with glee at the prospect.

"Really?!" he asked gleefully. "Are you certain it will work?!" Whitley nodded.

"I'm fairly certain that it should yield results," he affirmed. Pietro practically giggled at that.

"Alright then! You hear that boys?! Come! Come!" he called to his team. "One last test! It would seem our youngest Schnee might be onto something!" Turning back to Whitley. "Now what's this method of yours, my boy?!" Whitley nodded to him and walked up to the side of the doctor's robotic chair and opened up his notebook. The two talked in hushed tones as they began discussing Whitley's idea.

Several other scientists crowded around them, listening in and contributing their own advice and critics when they felt it was needed. Gojira narrowed his eyes at them, though he settled on the Schnee in the midst the most. Could the boy actually have some way of pulling this absurd idea off? The Kaiju King knew he wasn't above being proven wrong, but he just didn't see it happening.

Oh, well. He supposed he could sit back and watch another failure. He returned to his spot and leaned against the support beam as Whitley and the scientist reconvened at the control panel. The soldiers quickly replaced the Dust vial and raced away from the containment unit. Pietro grinned as he turned to Whitley.

"Ok, Whitley, my boy!" he said gleefully. "You direct us! Tell us what to do, and we'll follow!" The youngest Schnee nodded.

"Yes sir!" Whitley nodded as the scientists began the procedure. "Main power at seventy-five percent!"

"Roger, kid!" The technicians turned up the power. After a few seconds, Whitley spoke again.

"Reduce power by twenty percent!"

"Copy that!"

Gojira frowned as he noticed the Dust in the vial in the containment box. The Dust began swirling around as if carried around by an unseen wind. He narrowed his eyes as he approached the viewing screen. Winter and Weiss noticed as well and followed, curious as to what was going on with the Dust. Whitley and scientists, however, were unfazed as they continued their objective.

"Increase power by another thirty-four percent!"

"Roger!"

"Charge axillary power cords!"

"Charging now!"

"Fire axillary power at fifty-nine percent in single shot bursts for…" Whitley looked down at his notebook. "4.45 seconds!"

"Copy that, kid! Firing axillary now!"

After a few seconds, the Dust began reacting violently. "Crap! We're losing it!"

"Cut the power!"

"Wait!" Whitley, in a shocking display, pushed a scientist out of his way and began taking over the controls, much to the man's shock and indignation. Winter and Weiss heard the commotion and turned to see what had happened.

"Whitley!" The young Schnee didn't pay them no mind as he began fiddling with the dials and switches, constantly switching the power on and off, alternating at varying levels of power. The Dust crackled with electricity as it began to give off a very ethereal glow. Gojira's eyes narrowed further as Whitley rapidly switched between full power and no power for three second intervals. The Dust began to settle back in the vial, only moving slightly with each jolt of energy.

Finally, Whitley turned the power off, letting the glowing vial of Dust settle back down. He looked up at the viewing screen, wide-eyed. Pietro, Weiss, Jack, and Winter did the same, staring out at the containment box in trepidation.

"Did it work?" Jack asked.

"I…I think it did…" Pietro said in disbelief.

"It worked…" Whitley mumbled in surprise. "It really worked…" With that, the scientists were quiet for but a few moments before breaking into applause. Many came and clapped Whitley on his arm.

"Dust is giving off sighs of radioactivity! The procedure was a success!"

"Kid! You did it!"

"Man! That was a close one! Let's not do that do that again, kid!"

"Mr. Schnee! How'd you come up with the process to do this?!"

"Oh! Um…" Whitley rubbed the back of his head, though he looked very pleased with himself. "I'm, uh, not really sure. I just ran some quick calculations in my head after watching you all fail, and wondered if alternating currents would have any effect on it…" He chuckled. "It was hardly anything I done…"

"Yeah, no! Kid, you saw what you did, right? That was talent!" Jack commented. "Gotta admit, that was a real pleasure to watch!"

Whitley preened under the praise as Winter came up beside him. He looked up to her emotionless face staring down at him. "What you did was reckless, Whitley," she reprimanded. Whitley frowned at her before she patted him on the shoulder and continued, "Congratulations, nonetheless, little brother!"

"That was impressive, Whitley," Weiss commented, staring at him as if she was just now seeing him. "Congratulations."

Whitley didn't know how to process his sisters congratulating him. So, he tried to find something else to focus on. He looked over to see Gojira staring at the soldiers as they removed the Dust vial from the containment box and were heading towards the tent. "W-What do you think of the test, Mr. Gojira?" he asked, hoping to get his sisters' attention off himself.

It was successful as everyone turned to Faunus. "Oh yes!" Pietro looked ecstatic. "What do you think of the success, Mr. Gojira?!" he asked excitedly. Gojira didn't answer, instead he walked to the tent's entrance. The group was confused until the soldiers entered with the irradiated Dust vial.

Unceremoniously, the Kaiju grabbed the vial, much to the soldiers' annoyance. He held up the vial and stared at it intently. The unearthly yellow glow given off by the vial of lightning Dust lit up the room. The scientists watched the Monster King attentively, hoping that they would get the final acknowledgement that they, indeed, succeeded.

Finally, Gojira allowed a disbelieving smirk form across his face. "Hm…not bad…" he admitted. "You actually did it, Schnee. I'm…impressed…"

This caused everyone's eyes to widen in awe. "So, then…" the called Dr. Plum began, "…the test was a success?"

Gojira looked at him and nodded curtly. "Yes," he said shortly, causing the cheering to return. However, Gojira shrugged. "Don't really think you'll get much use out of this, though…"

That caught Winter's attention. "What do you mean?" she asked with a tone. Gojira shrugged.

"I mean that there's very little use you'll get out of this beyond making some sort of small battery," he explained. He frowned a bit and continued, "Or a one-off elemental shot in combat, but if the general respects my wishes, this will NEVER be militarized."

"Why?" Jack asked curiously. He had to admit, he was interested in any military applications irradiated Dust could potentially have. He wondered why Gojira seemed to dislike the idea.

The Kaiju Faunus looked at him with a light glare. "This power is far more dangerous than anything you've ever encountered," he told the military man. "Even those pesky Grimm don't hold a candle to nuclear energy."

"That's quite a bold claim," Weiss said dully, throwing a stern glance his way.

"It's not a bold claim, it's fact," the Alpha Predator rebuffed, turning to Weiss with a look of annoyance. "I told you this power could be detrimental to a person's health, correct? Well, it's just as bad on the environment. I think I can recall some early tests the scientists of my island performed on an uninhabited island once," he said. "They created a bomb that utilized the power and dropped it on this island. Not only did it level everything, it rendered the island uninhabitable for years after that."

Everyone was shocked at this information, suddenly becoming uncomfortable. "Wait…this energy can do that?!" a soldier with purple hair asked incredulously.

"Well, raw, unrefined Dust is far more potent than other forms," Whitley reasoned. "And there have been reports of uncontrolled Dust changing the environment when unchecked…"

"That is true," Pietro mused quietly, rubbing his chin. "Are you positive that weaponizing irradiated Dust is a terrible idea, Mr. Gojira?" he asked, gaining the Godzillasaurus Faunus's attention.

Gojira, meanwhile, contemplated the question for a moment. He wondered if he could scare them off of the idea of weaponizing the radioactive Dust and hummed thoughtfully. Figuring it couldn't hurt, he asked, "Would you like to test it out?" This had Pietro grinning again.

"Truly?!" When Gojira nodded, Pietro giggled in delight. "Well, what are we waiting for?! Let's do this!" Gojira motioned for him to lead the way, to which the energetic scientist was all too willing to do.

Pietro grabbed the vial from Gojira and began racing out of the tent as the others followed at a more sedative pace. The human Kaiju left the tent to see Ironwood, the parasite, and oddly enough, Neela walking up to them in full hazmat gear. Winter, who exited the tent after Gojira, stared up in surprise.

"General Ironwood, sir!" she saluted. "Mother. Father." Ironwood waved a hand her way, letting her relax. "To what do we owe the pleasure?" she asked.

"Well, Jacq and I were on our way to check up on your progress, and Neela believed it would be a nice change of pace to come along," James answered. "I noticed Dr. Polendina racing off in quite a hurry. Is something the matter?"

"Not at all, general. In fact, we're making great progress," Winter reported. "Thanks to an, unorthodox, method Whitley formulated, we have successfully produced a radioactive charge from Dust." This had the three newcomers' eyes widening.

"Really? Whitley, is this true?!" Neela asked her youngest in surprise and amazement. Whitley puffed his chest out in pride.

"Indeed, Mother," he replied. "Though, according to Mr. Gojira, it didn't have much worth beyond a small battery or a single use elemental burst for combat; but it is a first step at least."

"Is that so?" Jacques mused. "How long would this irradiated Dust last in this state, if I may ask?" Gojira was about to reply the man had no right to know, but he noticed Neela and Ironwood were interested in the information as well, and he reasoned that the parasite knowing wouldn't hurt much in the long run.

"Hard to say, as I'm not a scientist," he said. "However, I do remember some scientists I knew say that even a fraction of nuclear energy could power a tiny city for a few years; so, depending on what you created the battery for, I'd wager at least ten years, perhaps more."

This had everyone's eyes widening again. The purple haired soldier whistled. "That's a long time for a tiny vial of super Dust," she remarked.

"I agree!" James was quite pleased with the information. Some on the Atlas Council were questioning the purpose of this testing, not believing it was worth the kingdom's time. With this, he could prove that such power could be quite beneficial to them. "Where's the sample now?"

"Dr. Polendina has it," Jack spoke up, saluting the general. "Mr. Gojira has mentioned how he doesn't wish for irradiated Dust to be weaponized over concerns to the environment and proposed a test to validate those concerns."

Neela frowned at that. "Concerns to the environment?" she repeated in apprehension.

"You'll see soon enough," the Kaiju spoke up. "Let's catch up with Dr. Polendina, and you'll see what I mean."

James nodded. "Alright. Let's go then." Gojira nodded and led the group to the edge of the Schnee property. Pietro was already there with several technicians, who were setting up a target further away as well as several cameras and recording devices for the test. The scientist looked up to see Ironwood with the others, causing him to smile widely.

"Oh-ho! General Ironwood! It's amazing sir!" he gushed childishly. "We've done it sir! We've successfully-" James held up a hand.

"No need to explain, Doctor; I've already been brought up to speed," he said. "You won't object to my observing this next test, would you?"

"Oh! Not at all! By all means!" Pietro smiled widely as he turned to the group. "Alright people! Here's how it's going to go! This is going to be a controlled test! It's going to be small scale for time's sake, but it should get us a starting point on what Mr. Gojira was informing us of. We'll have the Dust be fired at this target," Pietro pointed to the target, "and we'll observe the effects of the irradiated Dust has on this immediate area for the next twelve hours. Any questions?" No one spoke; they merely nodded in acknowledgement. The cheerful doctor smiled again. "Good. Now then, who shall be firing off this Dust for us?"

"Not me," Gojira spoke abruptly. Pietro nodded easily.

"I concur. Given how you naturally produce this power, it wouldn't do for our control test to be with you," Pietro agreed. His eyes swept over the group as he asked, "Any takers?"

James considered his soldiers for a moment, looking over each one of them with a trained eye. When his gaze settled on the purple haired soldier, he spoke: "Petty Officer Jazlyn." The soldier came forward.

"Sir!" she intoned respectfully.

"You are quite comfortable with using Dust in its natural state, correct?"

"Yes sir!"

"Would you like to help with this test, Petty Officer?"

"It would be a privilege, sir!" James nodded and motioned her forward.

"Good luck, Vatista." The young woman nodded as she walked over to Pietro, who smiled at her.

"Here ya go, Ma'am!" He said and offered her the Dust vial. She took it and nodded to him.

"Any advice on how to proceed?" she inquired. Pietro shook his head.

"This is simply a straight forward test: just point and fire away," he told her. She nodded in acceptance.

"Got it!" Vatista got into a stance, planting her feet firmly to the ground in preparation for the shot. Pietro and the technicians began turning on the cameras and sensors. Dr. Plum turned on a speaker and nodded to Pietro. He smiled and grabbed the microphone.

"This is Pietro Polendina," he spoke, "and this is weapon test one of irradiated Dust. Firing off the Dust is one Petty Officer Vatista Jazlyn. Petty Officer? You may fire when ready."

"Yes sir!" Vatista's face turned stoic as she turned to face the target, holding the hand with the irradiated Dust out in front of her, her other hand went to her wrist to brace it. For a moment, she didn't move. Then, she sent a burst of Aura through her arm to the Dust vial in her hand, willing the yellow Dust particles to create a bolt of lightning.

What happened next stunned all to silence.

The instant Vatista's Aura hit the Dust vial; the Dust reacted. Violently. The vial broke, and a massive lightning bolt erupted from the Petty Officer's palm, searing the ground below it and blowing equipment and technicians to the ground, the resulting explosion caused Pietro to be flung out of his robotic chair. Vatista and the group behind her were blown backwards, Vatista in particular was practically sent flying by the recoil. Gojira was the only one still standing, though his upper body was forced backwards due to the wind surge. His eyes widened in disbelief as he stared at the scene before him.

Weiss was one of the first to recover. She groaned in discomfort as she forced herself, arms shaking from the pressure. She returned to her feet shakily and looked up and promptly gasped in shock and horror at the sight before her. Her parents, General Ironwood, and her siblings were next to recover. James helped Neela up when they heard the cries of disbelief. James looked up to see Jack and several others of the 107th Division staring out that the horizon in shock. He followed their example and promptly gasped as well. Neela soon followed his example and gasped as well, placing a hand over her mouth as she did so.

The technicians helped Pietro back into his chair. The older scientist groaned in pain as he repositioned himself on his chair. "Was anyone hurt?!" he asked loudly.

"S-Sir!" a scientist shouted, making the older man turn his way, only to gasp at the sight.

Lightning discharged rapidly from a perfectly straight line made by the massive bolt. The grass below the area was gone, replaced by blackened stone as the elongated area stretched out across the sky towards the mountain range. The streak ended at the second highest peak in the chain, Mount Corvus, which now had its peak blown clean off!

For several minutes, no one could say a word. No one had any words that could accurately describe what had just happened. Gojira, however, recovered first.

"That…was a lot more power than I thought it was going to have," he admitted.

This seemed to finally reactive the others. "Th-Th-Mount Corvus…!" Weiss stuttered out. Her body, still trembling from the after effects of the blast, began to shake worse as the reality of what happened set in.

"The whole peak is GONE!" a scientist cried.

"Yeah, it is," Gojira agreed. He turned to Winter and asked, "What do you think that is? Two hundred…three hundred miles out?"

"W-What the hell…?!" Winter was so shocked she didn't know whether to look out in horror at the sight of the destroyed mountain peak, or at the Faunus beside her; wondering just what he could be capable of if this was a fragment of his true power.

"What happened?!" James demanded of the scientists. "Was all this just the irradiated Dust or did something go wrong?!"

"N-Nothing went wrong a-as far as we can discern, S-Sir!" came a meek reply. "W-W-We're trying to r-recover our d-data of the test now!"

"G-General…" James's attention was averted as he looked over to see Vatista still on the ground, looking at her handiwork in terror. Anger quickly gave way to compassion as he reached down to help her off the ground. She was hesitant, but she took the offered help up nonetheless.

"No worries, soldier," he told her as he helped her up. "This wasn't your fault." She looked incredulous for a moment, but James held up a hand to stall her objections. "I asked you to help with the test. If anyone's at fault-"

"I did this." James and Vatista looked over to see Whitley staring at Mount Corvus in horror. James frowned and walked over to him. He placed a gentle hand on the boy's shoulder, causing him to look up at him.

"It's not, Whitley," the general said. "I am the one who sanctioned this operation. The fault is mine, and mine alone."

"T-That's all well and good, James," Neela said shakily. "But HOW are you going to explain THIS to the council?!" she asked wildly, gesturing to the broken mountain.

"I don't see what the big deal is," Gojira commented. "It's just a mountain."

"'Just a mountain?'" Winter hissed, turning to the Kaiju. "'Just a mountain?!'" she shouted, marching up to stare Gojira in the eye. "It's not just the mountain! It's the fact that we've just caused a major incident that will have the public in a panic!"

"Which will lead to Grimm parading through Mantle's main street," Jack commented grimly.

Gojira was about to scoff at that, but Pietro spoke up at that moment. "That…might not actually be a problem…"

Everyone turned to him. "What do you mean?" Jack questioned.

"Well, we've just rebooted our systems, and in light of what happened, I felt it prudent to check to see if the Grimm were closing in, and…" Pietro looked unsure as he stared at the screen before him. "…you will just have to see it to believe it…"

Everyone was confused, but they walked over to where Pietro was at and stared at the screen before the paraplegic man. The military personal gaped at the information at the screen. "Is this accurate?" James breathed.

"As far as we can determine," Pietro confirmed with nod.

"B-But that's impossible!" Winter protested.

"I agree with Schnee! Your equipment must be on the fritz!" Vatista commented.

"What am I looking at?" Gojira frowned.

"This is the Atleasian Grimm detection system," Pietro explained. "It informs us of when Grimm are close to our borders and allows us to respond quickly."

"And…what are we seeing here now?" Jacques asked, speaking for the first time since seeing what had happened to Mount Corvus.

"You all see these red blimps?" the scientist asked the group. When the civilians nodded, he continued, "Those are Grimm. And the bottom of the screen is Mantle and Atlas. Do you see now?"

They did. "B-But how is that possible?!" Weiss demanded.

"G-Grimm don't do that, do they?" Whitley asked, just as shocked.

"No, they don't," James answered with a frown. "Which is why I'm wondering if the test had something to do with it."

"But how?!" a scientist asked incredulously. "How could our irradiated Dust test cause all the Grimm to turn tail like this?!"

"Do you have any idea, Mr. Gojira?" Pietro asked the Kaiju King. The Monster of Monsters frowned in thought.

"Not…really," he admitted. "I know the gnats fall to pieces against pure nuclear energy. And the only thing I know about Dust is that it allows me to release my power as energy beams rather than near invisible shock waves."

"So, without Dust, your power is less focused?" Jack asked.

Gojira shrugged. "I suppose that works," he conceded. The Kaiju was more of the opinion that since he was stuck in such a tiny body, his energy was too concentrated, and Dust was more of a focusing agent, but that wasn't a theory with anyone, save perhaps Dr. Polendina.

"Still, that's something we can work with as we try and understand these side effects of irradiated Dust," Dr. Plum commented at Pietro's side. The man hummed in agreement.

"That's true," he said. He turned to James and continued, "General, could you perhaps inform Penny for me that I'll be a little late this evening? I would like to try and analyze this data…and try and recover data from our other sensors…" He looked to the equipment still on the ground as he said the last part. Ironwood nodded easily.

"Sure. I…should probably head to the council and inform them what has happened…" he admitted tentatively. "They're probably in a panic as it is now…" He turned to everyone and said, "Let's reconvene tomorrow. I think we need the rest of the night to…digest what we've just witnessed."

No one disagreed. Gojira said nothing as watched the crowd disperse then looked back to the peak-less mountain. He grimaced. He hadn't thought much of Dust beyond its ability to allow him to use his beam attacks again. Looking at the damage a single, barely charged vial of radioactive Dust did, it made him wonder…

Later

Winter wasn't one for drinking. After spending a great deal of her childhood watching her mother drink herself into a stupor, the eldest Schnee child swore she'd never touch the stuff.

But after witnessing the power of atomic energy, she was sorely tempted to down the glass of Mantle red before her.

Winter was sitting with her mother in the gardens, staring down at her glass of wine with a faraway look across her face. Her mother had already downed two bottles on her own, while Winter hadn't even touched her single glass. The Specialist had too much on her mind right now.

Namely, the Faunus Gojira and the power he held. It made sense now why he didn't want his power militarized. If what happened to Mount Corvus was any indication, Winter was positive if what he said about the people of his island was true, and they created a bomb that utilized that energy…

Winter shivered. The thought sent waves of permafrost through her veins.

"Winter, dear," Neela mumbled, breaking the Specialist from her thoughts. She turned to see her mother's eyes were beginning to grow bloodshot. Winter blinked.

"Yes, Mother?" she asked.

"You haven't touched your glass in a while," she commented. "Is something the matter?"

Winter looked down at her glass and grimaced again. She pushed the glass towards her mother and said, "I guess I'm just not thirsty at the moment," she muttered. Neela frowned but shrugged as she grabbed the glass and downed in in one gulp.

"Yeah," the elder Schnee muttered. "I cannot blame you for that. That…spectacle was…well…" She sighed. "I can't even find the words for it…"

"Neither can I," Winter agreed. She sighed and stood up. "I'll speak with you later, Mother," she said. "I…I need to go clear my head." Neela nodded.

"Very well. We can talk later," Neela said. Winter turned and walked out of the garden, but before she got too far away, Neela called out, "And Winter, dear?" Winter turned. "I was wondering, could you, perhaps, check up on Whitley for me? He seemed to take that test the hardest."

Winter frowned, but didn't object to the task. "Sure thing." Whitley had looked worse off than she did after the test, and she couldn't blame him. His unusual method was what allowed them to even have radioactive Dust to test, after all.

"And do keep an eye on your father, as well," Neela added frowning. "He had a glint in his eye after James left that has me worried."

Winter raised an eyebrow at that, but she didn't say anything else, simply nodding to her mother and walking off. The Specialist didn't pay attention to her surroundings as she walked; she didn't need to. She knew the layout of the Schnee manor like the back of her hand. Her mind was preoccupied by other matters.

Heavy footfalls broke her train of thought. She looked up and frowned as she followed the sound around a corner. She turned the corner to be greeted by the sight of Petty Officer Vatista carrying her brother. She gasped. "Whitley?!" She raced over to them and examined the youngest Schnee. He had a black eye and seemed to be favoring his left side. "What happened?!" she demanded.

"What do you think?" Vatista grumbled irately. "Your daddy didn't like the kid had the gall to stand up to his sorry ass."

Winter glared at the other woman for a moment before turning back to Whitley. "Whitley, what exactly happened between you and Father?"

Whitley stayed silent, sending a hard glare at his sister. Winter tried again. "Whitley! I can't help if you don't talk to me!"

"What's the point?" he grumbled.

"What was that?"

"I said what's the point," he repeated. "It's not like you care," he mumbled under his breath.

Sadly, for him, Winter heard him that time. "What was that?" He clammed up at that. "Whitley."

"Drop it, Winter," he said. "It's not worth it."

"Not worth it? Whitley, I'm trying to help here!"

"When have you ever helped me?" he asked cynically.

"Excuse me?!"

"I said when have you ever helped me?!" he repeated again. Vatista blinked in confusion, suddenly feeling very awkward as the fight got more and more personal.

"Whitley, you're my brother! I've helped you numerous times! How many times did I take a punishment for something you did when Father was angry?!"

"…Just drop it, Winter," he snarled at that.

"Whitley, I can't do that!"

"You've done it before!"

"What was that?! When have I done that, Whitley?! Name one time!"

"Leave it, Winter!"

"Dammit Whitley! Why are you making this hard?!"

"Because I still don't see why you care!"

"Does being your sister mean I can't care about you?!"

"But you don't!" Whitley spat out. "Neither does Weiss for that matter! You LEFT! And she's LEAVING!"

That brought Winter up short. "What…?"

"You LEFT," he repeated. "You didn't think twice about joining the military. Weiss can't wait to leave for Beacon. Neither of you seemed to care what would happen to me!"

"Whitley…" Winter mumbled, but before she could continue, another voice spoke up.

"This family might be even more screwed up than mine." The three turned to see Gojira standing behind them. They stared at him in confusion. This was the first time they had ever heard of Gojira having a family.

"There's MORE of you?!" Vatista said in a very high-pitched voice. Gojira shrugged.

"In a manner of speaking," he explained vaguely. "Hardly matters at this point. They're not here; I am." He raised an eyebrow at the trio. "Now what has the parasite done now?"

"Nothing," Whitley said quickly. Gojira snorted at that.

"Rrright," he drawled. "And I'm a moth." They looked at him strangely for that remark. "Look, I don't particularly care, but at the same time, I'd love a chance to make that man sweat a little. He reminds too much of the human scum that once made my life barely livable that any discomfort I can inflict upon him will make me a gleeful Kaiju."

Winter and Vatista looked bemused at him when he said 'Kaiju,' wondering what it meant. Whitley frowned. "You're being overdramatic," he proclaimed, making the Alpha Predator scoff.

"Hardly. Humanity's biggest fault is that they cannot stop themselves from destroying the things they create when it becomes apparent that their creation no longer obeys their will," king of Monsters explained. "It's what happened to my father, after the humans exposed him to nuclear energy; and it happened to me more times than I care to count." He looked down at the Schnees, who were looking uncomfortable with what he had said. "Your father reminds me of those same men in the absolute worst way possible. The fact he seems to have hit you compounds that fact."

Winter didn't have any trouble believing that at all. Knowing how vile her father was, the Atleasian Specialist agreed wholeheartedly with Gojira's tirade. Whitley glared at the Kaiju intensely, not liking the comparison made about his father, but soon the heat vanished from his look and was replaced with weariness. "You're serious, aren't you?" he asked. Gojira grunted affirmatively.

"I fail to see the usefulness of lies in this situation," he explained. Whitley sighed.

"You're a strange one, Mr. Gojira."

"I could say the same about you. If that man had laid a hand on me, I'd have removed the offending appendage."

"Even if the man was your father?" Whitley couldn't help the spite in his voice.

Gojira let out a bark of laughter. "I'm pretty sure I've pummeled my father for less!"

Whitley…decided he didn't want to touch that subject. Instead, he decided that none of them would be letting this go, so he said, "Fine. If it will get you all to leave me alone: Father wasn't happy when he asked me to continue helping Dr. Polendina in charging more Dust vials, and I refused."

Winter's eyes widened in righteous fury at that. Gojira, however, didn't move. Whitley took that as an invitation to continue. "He told me I was to continue helping Dr. Polendina in making more radioactive Dust, in the hopes the company can begin attempting to market it."

"As if I'd let that parasite even touch radioactive Dust!" the Kaiju sneered. Whitley flinched at that.

"Yeah…About that…" Whitley mumbled uncertainly.

"Hm?" Whitley looked up and noticed Gojira was paying a little more attention now. Whitley gulped in uncertainty.

"I…I think Father may be thinking of…getting rid of you…in order to get the irradiated Dust," Whitley said.

Winter and Vatista frowned at the implications that brought up. Gojira, however, didn't blink. "Oh? Is that all?" he chuckled. "Well, I'd wish him the best of luck, but it wouldn't help him at all."

Whitley faltered. "Y-You mean you're not concerned?! How are you not concerned?!" he asked incredulously. Gojira shrugged.

"If I was worried about all the gnats that have plotted to kill me over the years, I'd already be dead by now," he said thoughtlessly.

"Even still, we need to do something about this!" Winter growled. "I'd love to personally arrest that man for hitting my brother!"

"Winter, please, just drop it!" Whitley said wearily. "It won't stick, and you know it!"

"I'll make it stick!"

"At the very least, with the suspicion that he has hit you, kid, coupled with the threat against the big guy here will be enough to get the man under surveillance and warrant an investigation," Vatista commented.

"I'm telling you, it won't help!" Whitley glared at the soldier. "Let's just drop this whole thing! Nothing good comes of challenging Father!"

"I can't do that, Whitley!" Winter told him with a growl. "Look, I know I haven't been there for you, and that's my fault! But Whitley, I know you are smart enough to know what will happen if you keep silent on this!"

"Father-"

"Doesn't care!" Winter shouted, cutting her brother off. Whitley back off, shocked. "Do you not think I wasn't the same way, Whitley? I remember when I was younger, telling myself that it was nothing! That Father would calm down, and everything would return to normal! But it won't! Since he convinced Grandfather to sign over the company to him, he's been dragging our name through the mud! All Father cares about is money and fame! It's the very reason he married into this family! If he could do it, he'd bleed all of Remnant dry and still want more!"

"Ugh!" Gojira's nostrils flared, and his spines glowed. "Sounds eerily similar to Ghidorah, the greedy gecko!"

"Whose Ghidorah?" Vatista asked curiously. Gojira realized what he said and growl-sighed.

"Nothing of importance right now," he said. "But more to the point, why haven't you done anything about the parasite if you what he's capable of, woman?"

"You think I haven't?!" Winter hissed, momentarily looking to Gojira. "I've tried everything in my power to expose the man for what's he's done since I became an Atleasian specialist! He's too good at twisting situations to fit his needs!"

"Then get rid of him. It's not like anyone would miss him."

"Do you hear yourself?! If you're implying what I think you are, not only is it highly illegal, he'd also eat that up in an instant! It's exactly what he wants me to do!"

"Then it seems you have but one option left," Gojira called out. "Gather allies! Obviously, this parasite is not without enemies. Gather everyone you can and then go after him!"

Winter looked at him with a frown. "Not that I don't think it'll work, as I've toyed with the idea before, but do you believe that would really work?" The Monster of Monsters shrugged.

"There are enemies I could not have defeated alone," he told her. "Loathe as I am to admit, there's always some that are stronger. And in those times, it helps to have some that would aid you in dire situations."

Winter's eyes widened at the admittance from Gojira. She never expected him to admit something like that. And the less said about others stronger than him, the better her sanity would be.

Vatista was in a similar state, gaping at the Kaiju Faunus in bemusement. Gojira ignored them and turned back to Whitley. "And as for you," he said, causing the youngest Schnee to turn to him.

"I'd suggest you continue aiding Dr. Polendina in his efforts to irradiate Dust," he said. Whitley moved to snap at him, but Gojira held up a hand to stall him. "I say that only because if you don't do it, your father would get someone else to do it. Someone who does not care what it can do, or does and wants to utilize it for nefarious purposes."

"What are you saying?" Whitley bit out.

"I'M saying that it would be best if you stayed on the project and helped Dr. Polendina keep radioactive Dust from being used by your father and others who would take it and cause the death and destruction of anyone they wished," Gojira explained further.

"And how would I do that?" Whitley countered.

"I would suspect something around the lines of it would be too dangerous for him to be near the lab or simply locking the doors." Gojira shrugged. "But if your sister's plan to be rid of the man works, I'm sure you'll have nothing to worry about." He turned to walk away. Whitley blinked in shock.

"H-Hey…!" he called out. Gojira stopped and looked back at him. "D-Do you really think I should? Continue to help Dr. Polendina, I mean?"

Gojira grunted. "At this juncture, I'd trust you with Dr. Polendina before I'd trust anyone else at the moment," he admitted as he walked off, leaving the three alone again.

"Hey! Where are you going?!" Winter demanded.

"Away. You and your brother have some things to work out, and I fail to see how I'd help in that regard," he answered.

"Wait!" Winter called out. Gojira stopped again and looked back at her. She hesitated for a moment before she finally called out, "T-Thank you…For your advice…and for your advice for my brother."

Whitley faltered for a moment before he nodded to the Kaiju. "O-Oh yes! Thank you for your advice as well, Mr. Gojira!" he said. Gojira simply waved his hand at them and walked off. He began to tune out everything else as he mulled over his own turbulent thoughts.

Mainly, just how the hell did that miniscule vial of Dust have so much power behind it? Did he severely underestimate the potential of Dust that much? Gojira would admit he had never actually tried to irradiate Dust before, since he mainly absorbed it into his bloodstream. Still though, the power output was…surprising.

Objectively, he should be pleased. If Atleasian techniques could irradiate Dust with that much power, Dr. Polendina could quite possibly send him home. But truthfully, something about that test bothered him. He couldn't put his claw on it, but something about the radioactive Dust's power sparked…concern? No. Wariness? Better, but still not right.

Whatever the case, it produced a sense of wrongness that the Monster King didn't like. What's more, now he had to contend with the parasite planning something. He wasn't too worried about that, however. The parasite's threat level didn't even register to the Daikaiju; Gojira was confident that he could handle whatever the leech could throw his way.

As he trudged through the hallways of the Schnee manor, he caught a familiar scent. He frowned and followed it through an open door. Upon entering the room, he noticed Weiss sitting at the bedside of a bedridden old man hooked up to a bunch of machines. Gojira's frown deepened as he walked up behind the middle Schnee child.

"It's polite to knock, you know," she said without looking at him. He scoffed.

"Privacy requires closed doors," he replied curtly.

"True enough, I suppose," she conceded, nodding. "So," she asked, turning to him, "what brings you this far into the manor?"

"I found your sister and brother with that purple haired military woman and got wrapped up in conversation with them," he explained. "Your father certainly isn't endearing himself with your sister at the moment."

"I don't blame her," Weiss admitted with some reluctance and turned back to the man in the bed. "Father has…well, he's always been hard on us. And…he was always hardest on Winter. Especially when she'd take a punishment meant for Whitley or myself." The Godzillasaurus Faunus hummed in thought. That was interesting.

They fell silent for a moment before Weiss spoke again. "I'm sure you're wondering who this man is, correct?" Gojira grunted.

"Given that this is your family's home and from what your mother has said before, I'll guess this is your grandfather," he answered.

"Good guess. He's like this because of his extended time working in the Dust mines," the heiress explained. "All that unrefined Dust he was breathing in finally caught up to him."

"Interesting," the Kaiju mused aloud.

"My grandfather built the Schnee Dust Company from nothing," Weiss continued. "He spent his entire fortune to fund an expedition and pay for miners to join him in excavating any Dust mine they found. But in the end, it paid off. He created the company and ran it, but he also was the first boots in any new Dust mine he bought and/or found. He's the very definition of a 'from rags-to-riches story.'"

"And yet he dies like everyone else," Gojira summarized.

Weiss looked at him in annoyance, but she didn't snap back. "Do you only know cruelty?" she instead questioned.

"I've been taught that by many others," Gojira answered vaguely. Weiss gritted her teeth and took a deep breath and looked away from him. She was silent for a moment before she spoke again.

"Who are you? Really?" she asked. She was rewarded by a bemused expression on Gojira's face before he started chuckling.

"No one's really asked me that," he admitted.

"Really? I find that hard to believe."

"Not many truly cared what I had to say. They only saw the son of the monster they created."

Weiss looked at him again at that. "Is that so?" Gojira shrugged.

"Truthfully, I never cared. Their opinions were hardly worth my time." Gojira stared out of a window at the broken visage of Mt. Corvus. He frowned at it.

"That's…admirable," Weiss commented. "But it still doesn't answer my question." Gojira chuckled.

"True," he admitted. "In terms of 'what' I am, I'd tell you any number of things, but 'who' I am…" He paused. "If I'm being truthful, I…I don't know how to answer that…"

Weiss looked at him and raised an eyebrow. "Why not?" Gojira turned to her again and frowned. He thought about how he wanted to word his response, and after a moment, he spoke.

"Honestly? I never thought of myself as a 'who,'" he said. "I've always viewed myself as a force of nature. A calamity that should be avoided."

That got the heiress's attention. "What do you mean, 'a force of nature?'"

Gojira scoffed. "I doubt you'd believe me if I explained it, so I won't bother. If you still wish to know, then discover it for yourself." Weiss narrowed her eyes at his reply.

"Hmph! Maybe I will!" she declared. The Monster King smirked.

"Then good luck," he told her, shocking her slightly. He ignored her and stared back down at the old man. "Hm…I wonder…" She looked at him curiously as he raised a clawed hand above the man's chest, and his spines began to glow.

The man let out a weak groan as he shifted in the bed in discomfort. "Hey!" Weiss snapped, but before she could say anymore, she noticed something that made her gasp.

A dark, sickly looking Aura was seeping out of her grandfather's chest. It traveled up to Gojira's palm and was subsequently absorbed through his skin. Weiss watched in wide-eyed shock as the orange eyed Faunus continued to draw out the dark substance.

Gojira paid no mind to anything else as he absorbed the dark cloud into his bloodstream. His blood seemed to begin burning all at once, energizing him. He fought the urge to grin at the infectious energy and refocused on his task.

Finally, the process ended, the last bits of the malignant energy being drawn up by Gojira. As it did, a faint, whitish glow flickered around the man known as Nicholas Schnee. Weiss was about to ask what the Faunus had done when a new sound stunned her to silence. Her grandfather let out a garbled gasp for a moment before his breathing settled. Soon, he was taking deep, full breaths without any pain. Weiss stared at her grandfather's steadily rising chest in bewilderment as Gojira stared at the man in interest.

"Well, that's interesting," he mused, breaking Weiss out of her shock. She turned to him with wide eyes.

"What did you do…?" she breathed disbelievingly.

"I was absorbing the nuclear radiation from his body," Gojira explained. "Something seemed off with it, and I thought I'd try and remove it. It appears, however, that humans here are far more resilient to radiation than back home, as his body has been…uh…well, for a lack of better terms, accepting the energy, strengthening it, but it was also destroying him. Very peculiar…"

"What are you saying?"

"Not sure. But judging by the color of your grandfather's face, it's helping him heal at an astonishing pace."

Weiss looked back to her grandfather and saw he was right. Nicholas's pale skin was gaining a healthier color, and his breathing was growing stronger. Weiss stared at her grandfather for a few more minutes before turning back to Gojira.

"How is this possible?" she breathed.

"I don't know," Gojira growled. "But it's not natural. I can't quite place the feeling, but this feels…too familiar…"

"Familiar how?"

"I'm…I'm not sure," he admitted. He mulled it over for a few more moments before he growl-sighed. "It's too diluted to get a proper reading from."

"Could it be because of his age?" Weiss inquired. "He's been suffering from this for years."

"How long exactly?"

"Well over twenty years now."

Gojira considered the answer. He shook his head and growled-sighed. "I cannot know for sure," he said. "Not now, at least."

"Are you sure?" Weiss asked.

"Unfortunately," Gojira growl-sighed again. "Nothing but a dead end."

"That's a shame," Weiss mumbled. "Still…" she continued, staring down at her grandfather, "this is unbelievable…"

"Indeed, but this might be a godsend for your family." Weiss looked back at him and raised an eyebrow. Gojira decided to elaborate. "Your father apparently hit your brother for daring to defy him by not continuing to help Dr. Polendina irradiate Dust."

"He did WHAT?!" Shock and a bit of anger colored Weiss's voice at that, her face contorting into a fierce scowl.

"Winter's not too happy with the man at the moment," he went on, not acknowledging Weiss's interruption. "I informed her to find allies to bring the man down to size, but should you convince your grandfather that the parasite has betrayed his trust, I think you'd negate the need for such things, wouldn't you?" He looked to Weiss and grinned darkly, making her shiver.

"Are you telling me that if my grandfather actually wakes up from this coma of his," Weiss asked, "that I should convince him my father, his most trusted employee at the time and was currently engaged to my mother, has been trying to destroy the soul of the company he strived to create?"

"Was I being too vague? That's exactly what I'm saying," Gojira affirmed. "You said you know what he's doing. So, don't stand here and watch from the sidelines; go and fix the issue."

Weiss thought about what he was proposing. Yes, it was something she had to do. She, sadly, knew of her father's dubious business deals and the less than reputable things happening in the Dust mines nowadays, thanks to the tabloids. But still, this tactic…

"…I don't like it," she said finally. "It's something HE'D do." Gojira nodded to that.

"Yes, it is, but you seem to hold your grandfather in high regard. So, ask yourself: what would he do in this situation?" Weiss blinked at that and turned to Gojira, silently asking him to elaborate. He snorted. "You know the man better than I do. I'm sure you'll get your answer if you think hard on it."

He looked over her shoulder and saw a single vial of blue Dust, the same one she had been fiddling with during their encounter before the Dust test. On a whim, he reached around her and grabbed it, causing her to look at what he was doing in confusion. He simply held the vial up in front of her. His spines began glowing.

"Tell me, Schnee," he spoke, his voice rumbling throughout the room. "Who would you rather be?" He asked as he channeled atomic energy into the vial. The blue Dust seemed to expand and fill the vial. "Your grandfather?" The Dust began giving off a bright, light blue ethereal glow. "Or your father?" The Dust finally reached the top of the vial, and the Kaiju King stopped channeling atomic energy. Smiling at his work, he handed it back to a shell-shocked Weiss. "I wonder: will you be exceptional? Or just another parasite?" She scowled at that one as she absentmindedly grabbed the vial.

He chuckled. "Either way, I feel I'll be very entertained very soon." He turned and walked out with that. Weiss didn't stop him, as she was trapped in her own mind, going over what had just happened. She turned and stared down at her grandfather and grimaced.

She just witnessed atomic energy destroy a mountaintop, her grandfather was going through a miracle recovery, her father's greed was now affecting Whitley, and if the Faunus was to be believe, Winter was getting ready to go on the warpath against their father! So much was happening in such a short amount of time, it was making her head spin! She wasn't even sure where to begin!

'No…' That wasn't right. She knew. She looked down at the vial of Dust Gojira so casually irradiated for her. Yes. She knew where she needed to start. She was just afraid. Afraid her father would catch her and ruin everything. Like he tried to do when she decided to become a Huntress and follow in her sister's and grandfather's footsteps. When she decided to attend Beacon over Atlas. It was fear of her father's retaliation that caused her to stall, she realized. Just like it always had been.

Well, not anymore. Weiss's expression hardened. "Will you be exceptional? Or just another parasite?" Gojira had asked. Weiss knew the answer.

And more importantly, she knew she needed help.

And she knew just who to start with.

An: Now before people hark on the scene with Nicholas, Weiss, and Gojira, please know that next chapter I will attempt to explain it better. I simply ask that you all be patient with me.

Mosura and the Mistral Regional Tournament

Part 3

Mosura moped. She still couldn't find Gojira. That was…disappointing.

Minya and Jr. were roaring in appreciation of a redheaded warrior decimating some random fighter as Leo commented on the fight. Mosura, however, couldn't keep her attention on the fight. She was busy stretching out her senses trying to find Gojira.

Still nothing. Even at a mile out. She was upset that he wasn't participating in the tournament, but she held onto the hope he was around the area watching the fights. It was unlikely, but it was all she had to speculate on.

"Haha! That redhead clobbered that guy!" Jr. laughed, breaking Mosura from her thoughts.

"Well, it's not like it was difficult to do when the male constantly rushing in without much plan," Leo said blandly.

"True. But he should have learned she was tougher than he was after the third time she brained him with the end of her sword," Minya rebuffed.

"I think it was fairly obvious she caused some brain damage with the first hit," Leo shot back.

"Attention: Would Rexy of Vale, and Mosura of Vacuuo please come to the ring please," an automated voice called out. Mosura sighed and stood.

"Kick butt Mosura!" Jr. told her with a large grin.

"Destroy her!" Minya agreed with a vigorous nod.

Rexy smirked in delight as she strode into the arena with confidence. She couldn't wait for this fight. She wanted to see just how powerful Gojira's 'friend' really was, and this gave her the perfect excuse to cut loose.

The leaf eater Bron didn't approve of her entry into this tournament, but she was growing antsy with the lack of Red Suns agents to take her frustrations out on. This was a compromise between the two.

Soon, Mosura walked onto the stage with a faraway look. She frowned as her fellow Faunus reached her. The crowd roared to life as Mosura stopped in front of Rexy.

"Alright everyone!" the announcer shouted to the approval of the crowd. "It's about time to start the semi-final rounds! This match will include the ever lovely and unstoppable Rexy against the untouchable beauty Mosura!"

Rexy grinned triumphantly as the crowd cheered her on. She looked to her opponent and growled, "I've been waiting for this." This seemed to wake the moth Faunus up as she blinked in shock and turned to Rexy.

"I beg your pardon?" she asked.

"This fight," the Rex Faunus elaborated. "Since I met you and you introduced yourself as a friend of Gojira's, I've been waiting for a chance to test my skills against you." She drew Revenant and held it level with Mosura's face. "I wish to see if you measure up to him."

Mosura blinked again. "I see," she said as the crowd's cheers grew louder.

"Well it looks like these fem-fatales are ready and waiting!" the announcer cried out. "And who are we to refuse them?!" The crowd roared in agreement. "Now then! Let the semi-finals…BEGIN!"

Rexy didn't need any more provocation than that and vanished from sight, only to reappear in front of Mosura, Revenant raised high. The Queen of Monsters' eyes widened as she threw herself backwards to avoid the punishing overhead swing from the dino Faunus.

This emboldened Rexy and caused her to chase Mosura. Mosura responded by holding out her hand and firing a Beam Pulser off. The beam hit Rexy head on, but all it did was push her back a few feet. Rexy grinned wildly and raced back at her swinging her blade in rapid abandon. The divine moth dodged most of the slices with a relative ease, ducking under and swinging around the massive blade. Rexy laughed whenever her weapon connected to Mosura's side, making the other Faunus stumble slightly.

"Your fast! I'll give you that!" Rexy growled. "But are you sure you're on Gojira's level?! You've barely put a dent in my Aura!" She grunted as she thrown backwards by a hard punch to her sternum. She tumbled across the ground before she jumped back to her feet with a laugh.

"That's more like it!" She shouted and raced back at Mosura. Mosura raised her hand and fired her Beam Pulser in rapid succession. Rexy blocked several shots with Revenant and simply ducked under or dodged the rest. She raised her sword again for a swing, only for Mosura to jump high and fire another Beam Pulser at Rexy's head.

Rexy threw herself to the side and transformed Revenant into his Arc Wave Cannon mode. She fired a concentrated bolt of lightning at the moth Faunus, hitting her right in the gut. Mosura grunted at the hit, but she didn't have time to recover as Rexy used her tail to push herself to her feet and jump at Mosura, switching Revenant back into sword mode.

Rexy swung her blade and connected with Mosura's shoulder. The T-Rex Faunus grinned and began slashing at Mosura rapidly, slicing across the moth queen's chest multiple times before Rexy swung the blade at her back, sending Mosura flying into the arena floor with a grunt of pain. Rexy landed with a laugh as she straightened up and rested her sword on her shoulder to the crowd's roaring once more.

"Sorry, Sister," she growled in mock sympathy, "but you obviously aren't worth Gojira's time." She grinned. "After all, a King like him deserves only the company of Queens!"

"Is that so?" Mosura asked, seemingly unfazed by her fall as she stood up. "You are a queen?" Rexy looked impressed as grinned widely.

"Indeed I am!" she confirmed. "Now Submit to me and surrender!" she called out, activating her Semblance. Mosura didn't even blink under its effects.

"No thanks, but as a fellow queen, allow me to inform you that this will hurt," Mosura said before lightning discharged off her arm. Rexy's eyes widened as before she could react, a powerful bolt of lightning slammed into her chest. She snarled in pain as she looked up, only to see Mosura in front of her. The Queen of the Monsters grabbed the Queen of the Dinosaurs' face and threw her back into the center of the arena.

Mosura threw her arm down and fired a Beam Pulser at the floor. The crowd screamed in shock as the laser reflected off the floor and straight into the face of the recovering Rexy. She grunted loudly as she was thrown back to the ground. She groaned and opened her eyes in fury. But before she could get up, she noticed something glinting around her. Raising her head, she looked Mosura, whose eyes were glowing.

"Good night," she commented, as she fired off freaking lasers from her eyes, hitting the glinting air around Rexy. Rexy turned and watched as the lasers refracted around her before flying to the ceiling and reflecting back down at Rexy's face.

She tried to get up, but something slammed into her chest, bringing her back down to the floor and straight into the lasers' path. The beams hit her hard in the face, causing her to black out.

"AND THAT'S THE MATCH! THE WINNER OF THE FIRST SEMI-FINAL ROUND IS NONE OTHER THAN THE LOVELY POWERHOUSE OF VACUUO, MMMMOOOOOOOOSSSSSUUUUURRRRAAAAAAAA!" the announcer shouted loudly as the crowd screamed in agreement.

Pyrrha Nikos grinned in anticipation. Her knees shook in excitement. She watched as Mosura simply walked off stage, as if she didn't just make fighting that Rexy girl seem easy. She was impressed with the girl's abilities and couldn't wait to test her own against her.

Her name was called, and the redhead jumped up practically raced towards the stage. Just one more round, then she would be in the finals again.

Something told her she would enjoy fighting Mosura.

An: I certainly hope y'all enjoyed the omake! I had fun writing it, even if it's shorter than I wanted.
