Author has written 20 stories for Fairy Tail, Legend of Korra, Harry Potter, Claymore, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Naruto, Supergirl, 100, Avatar: Last Airbender, Twilight, Elder Scroll series, Blue Exorcist/青の祓魔師, and Gears of War. May update! Do not - I emphasize - use SEAGATE EXTERNAL HARD DRIVES! My 1TB has failed me twice now and I have been trying to recover my work from those devices. If y'all be relating, don't get this brand. Either these hard drives malfunctioning around me from some inconvenient superpower or the brand name used cheap parts to make big $$$ March update! (2020) Something I've been told fairly recently: If you keep waiting for the day you feel ready, you'll never be. A lot of my stories have been postponed and some of them were stopped because I felt like I wasn't in the place I needed to be to continue writing. Now, I realize I have just been holding myself back out of anxiety and am determined to fight against this feeling. For all of you who have been patiently awaiting my return, you have my thanks. Here's to the future updates! For those of you that are new to my profile: welcome! For those of you who know me and have been wondering what the hell I am doing, rest assured, I am still among the living. Happily living, in fact. I have just been faced with the worst writer's procrastination this year and although I have been trying to keep a schedule with my writing, my life outside has made this very difficult. Nevertheless, I believe I can say with confidence that this will not happen for much longer. Whether that brings you relief or not... well... Anyway, I just wanted to let you all know that although The Girl with the Celestial Tattoos is currently on-break (on purpose - there's no abandonment or writer's block going on there) I have several new stories coming in that I cannot wait to upload both on my Gothic Rain account and my AO3 account Wyrd Sonder. My AO3 account will have some stories I will not post on fanfiction but all are femslash so if you aren't comfortable reading that then don't bother going there. It's kind of all F/F or M/M there - both bookmarks and published. Likewise, there are stories I have on Fanfic that won't be on AO3 so it's not like they are exact copies of the other. For those of you that are interested and want to keep an eye out on these stories here is a list of them, although some have not been published yet as you can see below. Read the tags which include a brief description of what the stories entail. Hijacked (Fanfic) - Published: OC-centric, Alice/OC OTP, Supernatural beings everywhere, minor Renee bashing, Dimension-traveling Daybreak (Fanfic) - Published: Twilight-Freeform, Video Game/The Gamer, No Bella, OCs everywhere, World-building AU Never Cage A Lion (AO3 only) - Not Yet Published: How do I tag this one?... Basically Lion-Clarke, Wolf-Bellamy, the Skaikru all have a spirit animal and it took a year for me to develop their culture so it's pretty complex, Na'vi Language was used in this, Costia lives but Clexa is the OTP, it's so slow burn though. There's some minor Anya/Raven and Linctavia thrown in as well. No ALIE or Nightbloods are included in this fic. In fact it pretty much diverges from canon from the start. Kings Warfare (Fanfic) - Published: This one is basically my Bellatrix/Hermione version of War Never Changes but is crossed over with the Gears of War video game! I don't know if that sounds like a good idea to anyone but nothing is stopping me from writing it. Soldier-Hermione! Weird Time-travel circumstances! End of the World kind of circumstances... Totally AU. War Never Changes - Rewritten (Fanfic & AO3) - Not Yet Published: Another time-travel story! Hermione/Fleur! Featuring Beauxbatons for the Tri-Wizard Tournament. A classic save the world fic. Veela-Fleur! Angst-ridden Hermione! Sort of an approaching apocalypse theme. Legacy (AO3 only) - Not Yet Published: There are three separate stories and I will be posting them in chronological order: Prelude, Present, Sequel. The Prelude is called "Legacy: The Last War" the present-setting story is called "Legacy: Last of the Kryptonians" and the sequel is pretty hectic with the dimensional crossovers going on and it is called "Legacy: The Last Hero." Basically, to describe all stories you have to understand that this is based on an entirely different dimension or "Earth" as the Flashverse like to dub em'. Dark-Kara! Endgame Supercorp! Villain-Kara! World-building AU! What if Krypton went down differently?-fic. Minor Kara/OC, throw in some Soul Mates, add a pinch of rebellion, and a sprinkle of "save the world by being the bad guy" into the mix as well. Down in the Dust (Fanfic & AO3) - Not Yet Published: Sakura-centric, OOC-Sakura Haruno, New Background Sakura, Team Seven stays strong, probably going to be a Sakura-multi female story or a Sakura/Ino romance but it's not romance heavy either. Dark past Sakura, smarter Naruto, less 2-dimensional Sasuke, more human Kakashi, side characters have a life - etc. Transcending Humanity (AO3 only) - Not Yet Published: Demon/Human Hybrid Gray Warden-centric, Dragon Age: Origins, Female Gray Warden/Leliana, minor world-building, basically my main character is fighting against prejudice and discrimination while trying to save the world. Did I mention blood-magic? Mage Warden! Clair de Lune (Fanfic & AO3) - Published:Werewolf!Hermione, Fleurmione Ship, Twist with the Timer Turner, 3rd Year goes very wrong, Tri-Wizard Tournament AU For more about any further new stories coming in continue scrolling down. Current News The Girl with the Celestial Tattoos is postponed until further updates. I have been hit with a particular lack of musing for the story but by no means will it be abandoned... ever. I quite miss writing for the story actually. I imagine once chapter 50 is posted, I will return to a steady pace for that story. Starting new beginnings has always been a struggle for me but it won't stop me from moving forward either. War Never Changes has been postponed indefinitely. Like many plot bunnies that have come to mind, I have begun to lose interest in this as new plots and story ideas have taken hold of me... and I've also switched ships for Hermione, so until I am attached to Fleur x Hermione ship again, I'd have to postpone it anyway. The Blue Exorcist has been a difficult story to write. Although I am not at the point of abandoning it or placing it up for adoption, it has been postponed indefinitely. The Black Curse is due to be rewritten. Thankfully there is only one chapter released so far so it isn't a huge development but it is important. I had realized shortly after rereading the story that I had started with too much, too soon. Thus, I am rewriting it to make some minor changes and hopefully make it a little easier to read. Humanity is one story I have wanted to write for a really long time but have been mentally postponed due to my late grandfather's death. The timing couldn't have been worse and although I know in my heart it shouldn't be holding me back, I just haven't been able to take that step yet. I apologize. Falling Beneath The Sea has gotten some really harsh reviews from - in my opinion - really closed-minded individuals. I mean, is it just my readers who are shallow for the fandom or is the actual fandom entirely? I don't like to generalize but like damn. So, until I'm in the mood for dealing with such commentary, I'm placing this story on pause. Emotionless has been indefinitely postponed. The Seldom Avatar is a story I don't know how to feel about because I don't know how to feel about the show. Personally, I'm an Avatar: TLA fan and only really read/watched The Legend of Korra for the Korra/Asami relationship. I started this story to create an alternate universe and I think I've failed in that endeavor. So for now, it's postponed until further updates. Never Good Enough is an Avatar: TLA crossover with PJO starring my favorite antagonist Azula who crosses worlds through mysterious means with a move that was meant to end her life, not push it into another world's problems. Finding a group of immortal girls that would grow to become like family to her was even less expected and frankly, Azula doesn't know what to do with herself anymore. Is she destined to be abandoned once more or has she finally found people she can trust to have her back? Hijacked begun on my Phoenix account and I should have transferred to it to Gothic Rain a long time ago (like I said I would) but I've procrastinated big time on that affair. When I finally do transfer it though, either it or Daybreak will be my active Twilight story starring OC protagonists in a world where Bella Swan does not exist. New Stories I have always wanted to write a video game/The Gamer crossover on fanfiction and after about a year's worth of preparation, I have decided it is finally time to release DAYBREAK a story involved in a heavily modified twilight universe full of dark twists, huge plot campaigns, character creation, and adventure! A forewarning to remember however is that Bella Swan's existence has been removed from this Alternate Universe and my OC takes place as the protagonist. I also added in several minor story/movie/tv crossovers because some ideas were too good to pass up on. I will disclaim owning such influences in the actual chapters they're included in, so no need to claim fraud here. Tale of the Banished Hero is a potentially unique crossover between Percy Jackson and the Olympians and Wizard101 where my Fire protagonist Rowan Dreamer is banished from the Spiral for freeing [redacted] one of the most powerful and evil foes in the entire Spiral and for personally angering a particular [redacted] simply for leveling the playing field to fight against the darkness. The story will include major spoilers so I implore readers to keep that in mind before reading the story. Entwined Souls is perhaps a bit overcomplicated as it was inspired by a fellow PJO/Naruto crossover called Enduring Legacy: Shadow of the Sun but it is by no means the same. The premise is how in an alternate universe, Naruto decided to free the Biju with the other human sacrifices to keep them out of human hands and thus eternal imprisonment. He did this by sealing himself with Kurama inside the Shinigami's Stomach - so even death would not keep them apart. However, since Kurama had been split in half, the moment he was reunited as a whole, the Shinigami was too full and thus had to release part of that excess energy within him... thus a new being was born into one of the many lands of the dead. And there as she rose to the living world she befriended an unlikely ally over 2000 years before PJ's story begins. Hero is another PJO crossover but this time with the Elder Scrolls Series starring my Hero of Kvatch (there's enough DBs) who abandons her duties as the mad god and leaves to find new people to torment and new adventures to partake in. The story sounds crack and it wasn't intended to be but considering Elder Scrolls Heroes are OP I'll do what I can to level the field and prevent Mary Sues from resurfacing. Down in the Dust stars an alternate Haruno Sakura in the Naruto fandom with a completely new background. I'm personally quite proud of my muse in concern for this story. It's a classic Team Seven story involving several subplots, supporting characters, and plots twists without turning the story into the Dark AU or into something so AU it's unrecognizable. Kings Warfare is the story replacing War Never Changes involving my current leading female ship: Bellatrix Black (emphasis on the last name) and Hermione Granger. It's a unique Gears of War/Harry Potter crossover with plenty of new world-building exploration and a blast to the past I'm certainly enjoying writing. Between Moons is an Every Other Day (Jennifer Lynn Barnes's book) story involving a completely new background for the protagonist and pushed ahead several years later had the main plotline never happened but the main characters still inevitably met. If you've read the book it should be an interesting otherworldly take. If not, there's enough world-building and - in my opinion - story structure to keep your interest whether you read the book or not. There's also only minor spoilers. Misfit Incorporated is a previous removed Pretty Little Liars story that has now been rewritten. It stars Emily Fields, former convict falsely accused of murdering her girlfriend Maya St. Germain several years ago. When evidence was brought forward revealing Emily innocent she was released into police custody to find the real culprit. As the team rushes to catch the real killer new victims and clues surface and Emily is forced to chose to abandon her heart to chase after vengeance or find peace in another arm's comfort. Invidious is a Claymore/Naruto crossover where an alternate Uzumaki Naruto takes an emotional suppressant Clare under his wing before she can volunteer herself into the infamous Organization of the Silver-eyed Witches. Premise - a grief-ridden 22-year-old war hero uses an untested space-time seal to influence time with the plan to go back and prevent the future he had come to know. Instead, he paid for trying to meddle with time and was instead thrown forward through time more than half a millennium into a land swarmed with monsters, terrified humans, and a unique hybrid organization of warriors of the two. Meeting Clare had either been another row of his legendary bad luck or fate. Either way, he wasn't going to fail a revenge-driven Clare the way he failed Sasuke. And so, his new life begins. Unspoken Rules/Preferences I like from my readers 1. Reviews. If one blatantly insult myself or my story with no constructive suggestion then I have a habit of calling them out in my author's notes so that my other readers can make their own comments on the criticism and see if it really was trash talk or necessary criticism. I like knowing what my readers are thinking and when I have three reviews for a chapter that I know a hundred people have read I get paranoid that it wasn't entertaining. 2. I'm never going to be that author who requests X amount of reviews for the next chapter like many good authors do because it makes reading my story feel like a chore rather than entertainment but never will I turn down a review. I personally like to answer questions and comments that my readers have voiced in my author's notes of my latest update to keep my readers away and the connection, less... foreign between the writer and reader. 3. I don't like readers telling me what I should and should not do but questions and suggestions are kind to voice. As I said before I'll answer them in my author's notes. There's this firm belief I have that respect goes both ways and that it must be earned and I take time out of my day to write these stories that I'm passionate about so though it could take a reader an hour to read an entire story, it's taken me months of planning, writing, and editing to make it out alive. 4. Lastly, DO NOT 'read' one of my newer updated stories or newly published stories simply to leave a review nagging me to update another story. I've seen it a lot and the only thing you accomplish is pissing me off and purposefully lowering my updating rate for the story you want me to update and occasionally cause me to switch priorities in the story I wish to update the most frequently. Just don't do it and neither of us will be having any issues. Favorite Quotes "The minute you start writing to please an audience, the beauty of the world you've created diminishes." "Glass half empty, glass half full Well, either way, you won't be going thirsty Count your blessings, not your flaws" - Lauren Aquilina, "King" “A GOOD kind of love. It is not conditional or possessive or needy or demanding. It doesn’t fall apart the moment you expose a piece of yourself that is unconventional or even unbecoming.” - Evanna Lynch “If people refuse to look at you in a new light and they can only see you for what you were, only see you for the mistakes you've made, if they don't realize that you are not your mistakes, then they have to go.” - Steve Maraboli “If you spend your time hoping someone will suffer the consequences for what they did to your heart, then you're allowing them to hurt you a second time in your mind.” - Shannon L. Alder “I am a rare species, not a stereotype.” - Ivan E. Coyote “Together, in that room, our childhood notions of love melted away. We discovered love was not a fairytale. Sometimes there were no happy endings, and when there were, you needed to work like hell to keep the happiness alive.” - Cristina Marrero "The world as we have created it is a process of our thinking. It cannot be changed without changing our thinking." - Albert Einstein "Sometimes our demons are the best teachers." - Gothic Rain "There's no stronger message than dirt in your face!" - Bones, Young Guns "When words are not enough: act. Just remember that there are times actions just make things worse and you need those words back to prevent any miscommunications. Both a very powerful - one should not be valued more than the other for neither can exist without the other." - Gothic Rain Stuff In reference to the labels... Yes, we've all been labeled before and we will continue to be labeled by people who don't know us and even some that have known a little about us. So, what do we do about it? We don't care. After all, we don't care about them, they mean nothing to us, so why should their opinions on who we are, matter? They don't define us. We define ourselves. So, stop asking yourself what you are not and start telling yourself who you are. If you're too lazy to copy and paste things that apply to you, copy and paste this unto your profile. - There, that's my own contribution. The whole "girls are like apples on trees thing" and getting guys or whatever... don't be an apple, if anything be the tree. Because if you're an apple you're kinda insulting the other apples that are "easy-pickings" and then who will be laughing at you when a bird or worm comes along and eats you up. Second, if you are calling yourself an apple and the guys you think you deserve are the ones "picking" you, you do realize you are referring to yourselves as objects and the ones at the top are "the tastiest" so if the guy climbs the tree to reach the top, he'll be more proud to claim his reward than anything else. And even then, he'll just eat you and when he gets to the core, he'll toss that in the trash and walk away to continue his life. So you're calling yourselves apples because...? Just saying... and as for being the tree, at least then you'll be seeing all the guys coming along and judging their character as they pick apples and maybe hang around you and since trees never stop growing until they're cut down, you'll have all the time in the world to get to know the guys you'd want to be with. Music I Listen To (Composers, Singers, etc.) When Writing/Brain-storming... Disclaimer: None of this, which I own. (Since YouTube is now corrupt and broadcasting propaganda alongside the usual (annoying) adds, I suggest creating an empty file on your computer and use ClipGrab to store the music in the file to listen to separately from these foreign nussiances. Music is a universal-language now, and it deserves some respect.) Writing Advice (To settle with while I'm offline as a Beta) 1: Never, ever, start a summary for your story that gives a half-decent hooker and then suddenly stops and says "find out what happens here!" We're here to escape the advertisements, thank you. It's also a common theme of amateur writers. 2: Some people can make it work but I highly, highly suggest you don't do this: Demand a certain number of reviews before posting the next chapter. It's such a dick-move. Like, I get that it's amazing rush when you hit that 1k but how about you earn that love and not the hate and begrudged-typed reviews because they want to see/learn what happens next but hate dealing with such a demanding author? 3: Don't contradict your own story. Don't suddenly make a character do a one-eighty personality change to suit your ideas. One of the things that makes a story memorable and a legend is a well-thought-out and delivered story with a layered story structure and characterization for everyone. Remember, people, become what they are. Remember the humanity. 4: Do not ever write a story less than a thousand words. Don't Do It. I myself don't dare read a story that has 500 words or less unless it's a freaking poem. Why? Because it's the mark of a poor writer. We all start somewhere, I did the same once, but it's far better to put your best out before settling with mediocre as a first impression. I only got where I am now out of years of struggling to improve my writing, creating new stories, and scrapping the ones that won't be going anywhere or had more faults than it did redeeming qualities. You're not a sucky writer... you just don't know how to deliver your writing in a way that can resonate and be heard by others. Once you learn that, you're on your way into becoming a legend. 5 Ways of Knowing You Are A Writer (based on my experience) 1. No matter where you are or what you're doing, you'll be hit with inspiration out of nowhere and will keep thinking about the idea until you have written it down somewhere - completely throwing off your plans of free-time for the day. 2. (This might just be an INTP thing) You'll be hit with a plot bunny despite having several stories at work and disregard them all to work on this new idea. You'll spend several hours every day of the week adding detail to detail for your growing story and then when finally exhausted... you'll wait a while before actually doing anything with it - if anything at all. 3. You're really touchy about who gets to edit your story and anyone - anyone at all - who tries to tell you how to write your story otherwise will offend you beyond logical reason and leave you huffing about their nerve till the next morning. 4. You're a visionary. Every inspiration for a new story is based on a combination of another writer's genius. You wish you could call it original but all you can really say is that it was original enough to have never read such a combination of ideas, of cultivation in such a way that leaves the readers thinking about it until the next story. 5. You love your readers but you don't write your stories based on how they want them to go. They read them because they're always left surprised by how things went, how even the things they predicted went a different way than they ever would have expected, and it's a relationship that goes both ways.
