HAHAHA this one is my absolute favourite! I love this Gabriel. I love how he was all - um if he had told me that she wasn't going to whisk him away I totally would've supported the relationship and everyone's response is to just give him A Look
I love how much he misses his wife and how his actions are kind of rationalised from the perspective that he lost her and wants to hold tight to Adrien

I love how he redirected his plans and dreams for Adrien to his future grandchildren. And to include Marinette too! He basically ships it now hehehe
ALSO this happened at the beginning - I love how he called out that Adrien was going to fall for Marinette. Not if but when. So good. Now if only Hawk Moth was someone else so all of this could be true :'(

Ah Chloe's chapter strikes a chord with me and my own experiences. I was the Chloe to the girl I thought I "loved" in high school. I pestered her for two years trying to gain her affection, thinking that I just had to try harder and be persistent after ever polite rejection. Naturally her refusal grew less and less considerate as time went on, and reached a head when I tried to get to this girl through her younger sister who had just started school there. The next day found me cornered by three very big, very upset, and very insistent guys suggesting that I leave her and hers alone. It was only via this difficult experience that I learned to consider what someone else might want, instead of the selfish perspective I had only moments before.
It's been around 15 years since that day, and I don't think I'll ever forget it or what she inadvertently taught me. I'm glad that she is now very happy with her wife after a lovely wedding in Hawaii.

I like how you did Chloe, though I do feel she wouldn't still be expecting to be with Adrien after 3 years of nothing. I feel like she would have either pestered him the whole time and visited, or found interest elsewhere before now. All together though, it was a nice wrap up for her. She won't be bothering our favorite couple any more.-

I can so picture this being Gabriel's real thoughts. Not just for your story, but canon too. He cares, but it a super planned out must be organized kinda way.-

A part of me wants to see the ish hit the fan for Chloé, then I remember that in the show she has a (very) slow-burn redemption going on and that Lila is the true evil of the show.

Gabriel is terrible, and he thinks that he'll be able to control the young couple. At least he is so desperate to keep the company in the family that he will offer Marinette the Head Designer position instead of the junior one that he actually needs to fill. I can't wait to see how he acts when his last hope for control is denied.

Natalie is an evil genius! Maybe they should've gotten her involved sooner!

This just makes me eager to see her reaction when the real wedding happens! I'll be mad if there isn't a real wedding in the full story!
