Ahhh! I love your version of Optimus. And Optimus - Sari dynamic. The rest of the heroes too, but Optimus here is my even favorit-ier than usually, an ideal mix of a few of his backgrounds with its own twist! PTSD-ed soldier who does what he *knows* is right, ready to sacrifice and with a soft spot for all things little and needing protection - that's my boy!
Now, all I am waiting for is meeting with the Elite Guard - what is changed? Did Ultra knew him/about him, even if Optimus was just an oridinary soldier? Does Council know who it was that took the Allspark away? Mayby at last this version of Alpha Trion knows *something*?
I am reading this story since beginning and check for the updates regulary, even being at the odds with the Transformers for some time now (hate what they did to IDW Optimus and the worse and worse style of the animations). So it just says about how good your story is. Can't wait for the next chapters - with Optimus and Sari!

Anywho, great job, as usual. Really loving the cop OCs. The original TFA could've used some more human allies, though I also get why they didn't add any. Logically speaking, someone would've wondered by Sari can jump off Optimus' eight-meter height without breaking every bone in her body. No other humans meant no one to compare her to.

Oh, wow it's been a long time since I've read through this fic! I particularly enjoyed Optimus and Sari's relationship, and with the former's alternate portrayal as a Great War soldier. I'm excited for whatever new conflict this will cause between him and the Autobots! I hope to see more of this story!

Y'know, considering Optimus's flashbacks combined with how devastating the Great War was, it'd be pretty safe to say he's got a serious case of PTSD.

Part of me also can't help but think of Optimus and Sari as having a lighter and softer version of Kratos and Atreaus's father/child relationship in God of War. Sari helps Optimus find some semblance of normality after all the trauma and tragedy he's had to go through, while Optimus gives Sari the one thing she needs most: someone to call family.

Seriously though, the bonding between Sari and Optimus is probably one of my favorite things about the story, and the two of them are also my favorite characters here.

I don’t know how I feel about Prowl/Arcee pairing. That pair was meant for Ratchet. It was to show that even though he is a dick on the outside he still has a soft spot inside. Almost motherly. You also see this later on in the series when he takes it upon himself to look after dark while the other bots fight. Even though he’s not really fond of humans. Now ratchets just a grumpy dick with no other traits to counteract that.
