Oh Hey There

I'm 19 now and looking back and cringing at how ... for lack of a better word, how terrible I was.

Good God is this me.

ON COMPLETE HIATUS!

As you may be able to tell, I am quite the dormant author. Don't expect any updates from me. Just put me on the alerts and I'll surprise you about once a year with a new fic or chapter or two. I do have a Storm Hawks thing I'm working on right now. Though I'll see if I can ever finish it before posting it up here.

In fact, you may say that I am just about as dead as Link and Luigi. I dunno, I've noticed a lot of dying off of authors. just isn't quite what it used to be. What there used to be was Gai and Lee hug scenes in almost every story, and hilarity induced by the extremely famous, but now even more hibernative than I am, Link and Luigi.

There used to be so many emotionally powerful stories. There used to be authors who really made you wish they had the creative license to the show, because their writing was just THAT great. There used to be close connections, a community of sorts to go to during my time on the internet.

Now it's just a lot of badly-written porn and a Mary-Sue invasion.

There is still good stuff out there, I know. But there's just a lot of bad stuff too. It's hard to find the good stuff now. I dunno. I think the day I become an active member again is the day Hyper Strudel comes back to . Or Link and Luigi begin regularly posting chapters again.

It's been such a great time while it lasted, but I dunno. It's really just isn't what it was when I was still 11 or 12 or 13. I love you all, especially the only beta I ever had, who I call lil, Link and Luigi (as you may tell) and the regular reviewers of my stories.

I love you, but now it's time to say a bittersweet fare-de-well. It's not going to be forever, but you know, in a time and place where bad fics are being updated daily and good fics are just that much harder to find, and are being abandoned left and right, it's hard being optimistic.

And in case you get the wrong idea - NO, I am NOT leaving fanfiction(d0t)net. I am simply going to be very inactive.

01/01/08 - Happy New Year and It All Comes Back to RENT

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

Yeah... so, to start off the New Year, let me tell you about my NEW obsession: Kingsley Shacklebolt! From Harry Potter. You know, the auror who became Minister.

It's a weird story, actually. I was rereading some part... I don't remember... but anyway. I suddenly realized that I had forgotten whether or not Kingsley was black. I know. Stupid question, really.

But I had forgotten, so I decided to go back to Book 5 and read up on his description. And...

... well, I'm actually not sure what the hell happened... but I became hooked on finding all the parts with Kingsley in it. I read those parts again and again and again.

When that didn't satisfy my new craving for all things Kingsley Shacklebolt, I came here to look for fanfiction (found a very good Kingsley/Hermione one too. It's called 'Coward'. Read it).

I think this new obsession has something to do with my RENT obsession. You see... after reading Kingsley's descriptions, I began, as many do, to form a mental picture of what I think he should look like.

For some reason, even after seeing the person who actually plays him in Movie 5 (who, in my opinion, seems a little old for my mental picture)... my mind is still intent on picturing Kingsley as a magical, taller version of none other than Taye Diggs.

LOL

So yeah. Kingsley is now considered a sexy beast in my book. And most importantly - HE'S SINGLE. Boo-yah!

Wait, what? He's too old for me? And he's not real? ... oh, shut up!

Anyway... keep checking back. I'll probably have a whole slew of Kingsley fanfiction out in a week or so XD

12/27/07 - Oh No! Not he! Benjamin is Straighter Than the Tall Palm Tree!

Oh my--

It's been more than a month. I promised a few weeks. Whoops. Bad person here XP

Anyway, I just watched Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat last night, and I like it quite a lot.

I'm a Christian, so naturally, I'm glad that the story of Jacob and Joseph is being voiced, even if they neglected to mention God in the entire thing.

Still... I have to admit, the first 5 minutes I was like 'wtf is is?'...

... but then I saw Nick Holmes and swooned and so everything was fine.

For those that don't watch the credits - Nick Holmes is the guy who plays Benjamin. You know, adorable little Benny.

Anywho, I was watching him the entire movie. Maybe it's because he was the only one without a beard or ridiculously long and curly hair, or maybe it's because he resembles Wilson Jermaine Heredia, or maybe it's because he was the youngest one there, or maybe it's because he's just him.

Whatever the reason, I completely fell in love XD Much love at the part where that lady randomly comes on to tango with one of the brothers in "Those Canaan Days" and his brothers rush to cover young and innocent Benny's eyes.

And of course, "Benjamin Calypso" was hilarious and lovely. Beautiful facial expressions. Wonderful close-up near the end too, right before the line: 'Each of the brothers fell to his knees!"

It saddens me that Nick's not playing a larger role, and that he hasn't done more stuff. I can't even find any information - age, birthplace, sexuality, etc - that is so easy to find for actors like Anthony Rapp and Jacob Brent (BTW... does anyone else think that it's weird that we know Jacob's favourite colour ((orange)) but we don't know for sure whether or not he's gay?). Oh well. I still love 'im.

If anyone hasn't seen Joseph before, I recommend it. You know, just to watch Nick giggle

I'm KIDDING. Joseph is an amazing musical. I love it. It's fun and a little childish, but still. It's cute and fresh. And whoever said that musicals had to be really serious anyway?

Funny thing is, I watched Joseph right after I watched West Side Story (I love Baby John, BTW), so it was a huge shift - from serious, dark, gangster business and bigotry to light-hearted, children's Bible sort of thing... lol

But still. Nick's the icing on the cake.

11/21/07 - RENT and the Swallowing of Objects Haunts My Dreams

Hey everyone--

I had the weirdest dream last night. I don't remember much of the beginning of the dream, but I think I was at this sort of carnival place. I'm not sure what on earth was going on, but Mark and Roger (from RENT) were there. Specifically, the Mark and Roger portrayed by Anthony Rapp and Adam Pascal.

Anyway, I have no idea how it happened, but Mark/Anthony convinced Roger/Adam to try and swallow some swords. Then Anthony ran away. I stayed with Adam and laughed my ass off while people tried to cram daggers with really feathery hilts down his throat (he was okay, though. Adam fans calm down). He eventually gave up and we went looking for Anthony.

We found him in an office trying to eat a ruler. Adam screamed, ran over, and yanked the ruler out of Anthony's mouth, yelling about how dirty it could be and how stupid he was for trying to swallow it. He was in manly hysterics, flailing his arms and looking like he was going to explode. Anthony didn't seem affected by this at all. He smiled and shrugged, making Adam even more hysterical.

Anthony just laughed, turned to me with a look similar to the one he had in La Vie Boheme when he proclaimed "MUCHO MASTURBATION" and said,

"It's OK... I'm Anthony."

I woke up to my obnoxious alarm clock, thinking, "Damn right you are. And as long as it's still in my dreams, Anthony Rapp will never have anything bad happen to him."

Now that I think back on it, I feel like laughing. The image of Anthony Rapp stuffing a ruler in his mouth is quite amusing.
