Wow. Loved it. Loved the banter, the plot, the characters, all of it. Poor Bones, what a hellish first day at work, and then to be mistaken for an intruder too. Can't blame him for losing his temper there. That ending was the best. Prefer to be conscious next time you attempt to sleep with me, indeed. Hmmm. Sequel?

Ooooooh now if that wasn't a come-on, I don't know what else it was. Brilliant short story indeed!

Good story, and, on top of that, some of those Freudian slips were pretty darn clever.

Aggh, where to begin? Brilliance, all of it. Seriously suspenseful, kind of a thriller. You just kept me reading, grabbing my attention with everything. Your wit, your sense of humor shines through in this. The banter is SOOO good and you've got their characters down PAT. I love the moment in the turbolift, McCoy's emotional roller-coaster when he thinks Spock might have read him, their denial that anything happened when it was all over, and Spock's comment at the end, showing his humanity with more force than he'll ever admit to, and leaving Bones furious, no doubt.

Genius. I always wondered how they met, and this . . . Well, this is just plain amazing. I've never read a Spock or a McCoy quite like yours, and I must say they're even better together! :) This is the first time I've actually felt like I can realistically ship that pairing!

Also, one can tell you know the series and its characters intimately and have a great appreciation for them. Nice, nice work here; look forward to reading more of your stuff. Best of luck in your further literary endeavors! :)

Oh my that was great! Loved the characterization, Spock was wonderful, McCoy was wonderful, um, well, no one else was really in it, but I bet if anyone else was they'd be wonderful too. This is the second time I've read this story, and I find myself liking it more and more each time. I love the way you captured McCoy's personality. Spock's line at the end was the best! Haha, “Doctor,” Spock said, “the next time you attempt to sleep with me, I would prefer to be conscious.”
