![]() Author has written 29 stories for Criminal Minds, X-Men, X-Men: The Movie, Heroes, Walking Dead, and Sherlock. "Everyone's fucked up in completely different ways; that's what makes us special." – Gemma Burgess "It doesn't have to make sense; it just has to satisfy some sick urge inside." – Odd Thomas "I don't enjoy it so much as I need it. While I'm working, I feel a kind of calm that rests in the pit of my ribcage. My soul just can't be soothed any other way, it seems. Which I guess is about all that matters!" – Game Designer Coda Currently Reading "Consequences Of Our Actions" by SpencerRemyLvr (Chapter #1) "For An Everlasting Smile" by Anonymonimous (Chapter #12) Hiya! Since I'm sure that the username didn't make it entirely too obvious, allow me the pleasure of introducing myself: "Voilà! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a bygone vexation stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin vanguarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose, so let me simply add that it's my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V." . . . Yeah, uhm . . . Howzabaout we just ignore the plagiarism, and ya just call me Grayson? Apparently, the nomer translates to "inspirational, idealistic, and dramatic" – which, for the record, I totally think is just the bomb-diggity. I do so love the weirdness . . . Actually, though, I'm a girl about as average as they come; a fellow athazagoraphobic victim of the Peter Principle, I'm just one of a thousand other people who misplace keys, sing softly to reduce stress, and love the color violet. I believe the key to an ideal existence is open-mindedness and self-loathing. But whatever. I'm a fan of happiness, but I crave the instability of all torpid things; hence, I believe, my emotionally addictive personality latching onto the worlds non-realistic. I love music (so does everyone), TV (so does everyone), Movies (so does – oh, why the fuck bother?) and Books and now, apparently, Fanfiction. Admittedly, my one true fandom is Criminal Minds, and that adorkable Spencer Reid, but there's plenty of things I cannot get enough of, so never assume that I wouldn't give something a chance. I've read everything from Het to Whump to Slash to Crossovers to AU . . . and I've even dabbled in M-Preg (man, that shit is fun!) Regarding that little icon up by my username and profile pic; ‘Author?’ . . . Yeah, I am not an author. The only reason I started writing stuff on here was because I felt guilty about doing nothing but ‘Reid-ing’ day in and day out (sorta like that person who shows up to a potluck and brings nothing to contribute themselves). Well, anyhoo, one oneshot has rapidly turned into a wide variety of my twisted tales, and since I found it’s been a real emotional release – especially since college started eating what little soul I have – I plan to continue for as long as the mood hits me. Currently? TBH, I haven't written anything new in ages; school and work are keeping me busy, and my muse is off in la-la-land, or something else. I am eternally grateful for the existence of Dr. Spencer Reid, Peter Petrelli, Gabriel Gray, Dr. Daniel Jackson, Daryl Dixon, Dexter Morgan, Dr. Sheldon Cooper, Spock (both versions!), Khan, Gambit, Charles Xavier, Erik Lensherr, Markiplier, Jacksepticeye, Matthew Patrick, Prince Zukko, Matthew Santoro, Wolverine, Hank Mccoy, Obi-Wan-Kenobi, Peter Quill, Legolas, Kylo Ren, Perigren Took, Kili, Sherlock and John (a la the BBC), Owen Grady, Ryan Styles, Chandler Bing, Wolfram von Belefielt, and Dr. Lance Sweets. (And also pretty much any character ever portrayed by Cillian Murphy, Leonardo DiCaprio, Gary Oldman, Chris Pratt, Bill Hader, Ewan McGregor, or Bennedict Cumberbatch; oh la la.) I like laughing, calligraphy, stories that are told in a series, flinching, quote-ables, kittens and puppies, cloudy skies, the way leaves change color in the fall, Stephen King anything, sexist jokes, races jokes, nerdy jokes, flirty jokes, chocolate, beautiful boys, bright colors, fangirl-ing, the smell of gasoline, makeup, daydreaming and fantasizing, long hot showers, dinosaurs, random holidays, laying awake in bed as the sun rises, rambling, and the World Wide Web (specifically FanFiction, NotAlwaysRight, Epic Rap Battles of History, Honest Trailers, Smosh!, The Last Message Received, College Humor, How It Should Have Ended, Skyrim Prank Calls, Matthew Santoro, Markiplier, Jack Septiceye, Game Theory, Film Theory and CinemaSins). I'm a fangirl deep at heart, and probz totally attention-starved. Wanna chat? I'm one of less than 76 Graysons on Facebook, and I'm perfectly fine with friend-zoning people. And feel free to dial every phone number from 111-111-1111 up until you get my mobile -- it's only slightly more than halfway up! Or, y'know, just contact me on here. I don't bite. Much. Ta-ta! I Am, As Always, Much Adieu About Nothing, — Graysonation Sew . . . I’ve often considered the idea, and have now adhered to the belief that a person cannot be classified in just a few minute words of this infinite, infinite language. However, the sum of a parts, while being unequal to that of the whole, is a fine demonstration of an entire entity; and, thusly, I propose many of the parts of myself – while not showing who I am as a person, human, girl, victor, loser, lover, and mistake, they do put the ‘sun’ in Grayson. Music Choices I once heard an expression that went something like, "Music hath charms to soothe a savage breast." I don't know what kind of monster I am, but I've always found answers through the songs I listen to; they're a part of me that I couldn't live without, just like my lungs or ears or feet. So that's why I'm going to be annoying and post a whole slew of my musical selections; these are the best of the best, the ones I run and hide with when I'm sad, the ones I sing when I'm in the shower, or, yes, have inspired me to write. “The Fighter” by HereComesTheFighter “At Least I'm Not As Sad As I Used To Be” by Fun. “Secret Love” by Mayday Parade “Teenagers” by MyChemicalRomance "Winter Winds" by Mumford & Sons "Whistle" by Flo Rida "You're A God" by Vertical Horizon “1,000 Years” by Christina Perri "House of Gold" by Twenty-One Pilots “Honestly” by HotChelleRay “Best Years of Our Lives” by The Baha Men "Better With Time" by Leona Lewis “Over You” by Daughtry “Long Live” by Taylor Swift "Kim" by Eminem “Get It Started” by The Black Eyed Peas “I'm With You” by Avril Lavign "Roar" by Katy Perry "Crush" by David Archuleta "Honeybee" by Blake Shelton "Mermaid" by Train "Gold" by Brit Nicole "With Ur Love" by Cher Lloyd "Troublemaker" by Olly Murs “Can’t Breathe” by Fefe Dobson "Hurricane" by Bridgette Mendler “Dirty Little Secret” by The All-American Rejects "Chasing Cars" by Snow Patrol "Book of Love" by Peter Gabriel “Let Your Hair Down” by Andy Grammer "Yo Ho" by Blood On The Dance Floor “Cyclone” by BabyBash “Here’s to Las Vegas” by Barry Manilow "To All Of You" by Syd Matthers "Next To Me" by Emile Sande “Love On Top” by Beyonce "Only Foolin' Myself" by Kate Voegle “This Is Our Someday” by Big Time Rush "Love Me Like You Do" by Ellie Goulding “Demons” by Imagine Dragons “Payphone” by Maroon5 “Heart Attack” by One Direction “Look At Me Now” by Keke Palmer "All About That Bass" by Meghan Trainer "Brave" by Sara Barielles "The Kids Aren't All Right" by FallOutBoy “Allstar” by Smashmouth "Jump On My Shoulders" by AWOLNation "Talk Dirty To Me" by Jason Derulo "The Hanging Tree" by Jennifer Lawrence “Bittersweet Symphony” by The Verve “Love Like Whoah” by The ReadySet "Gone, Gone, Gone" by Phillip Phillips "Do You Believe In Love?" by Hughie Lewis & The News "Survival" by Eminem "No Rest For The Wicked" by Cage The Elephant "Do What You Wanna Do" by DJEarworm "Fight Song" by Rachel Platten "I Want It That way" by The Backstreet Boys "You Learn" by Alanis Morissette "All You Wanted" by Michelle Branch “Just Haven’t Met You Yet” by Michael Buble “Bad Day” by Daniel Powter "Shadow of the Day" by Linkin ParkTV Shows You Simply Must Check Out I'm quite the television afficianado, so believe me when I say that, on a given day, these are the best things to turn the clicker to: Criminal Minds (scary but brilliant FBI team of the BAU – Bahavioral Ananlysis Unit – tries to profile serial killers before they can strike again) Dexter (a serial killer who kills serial killers – with plenty of sarcasm and dead-pan that keeps the spirits up as he evades the cops) Scrubs (a hilarious medical drama about two morons and their pretty girlfriends who work at a wacky hospital – and lots of "aww" moments and fluff) Tosh.0 (see this – if his commentary on web-videos and cocky self-deprication don't make you laugh, nothing ever will) Bones (a sweet if predictable crime show, revolving around a spastic genius and a macho FBI guy – and their budding relationship) Saturday Night Live (sketches, deadpan humor on news events, and awesome music – totally worth the 1 1/2 viewing time!) The Big Bang Theory (nerds, a pretty neighbor, and all of their social awkwardness combined into a laugh-out-loud derp fest) The Walking Dead (must love zombies, and the emotional turmoil with the end of the world. Think, . . . "28 Days Later" . . . ) Stargate SG-1 (a team of one beautiful genius, one burly ex-military, one sweet and sensitive geek, and one alien explore the universe through an other-worldly portal to other planets, lots of aliens, plenty of cool tangents, good whump, and lovable characters through and through) Heroes (a dynamite tale of ordinary humans who develop superpowers, and must use them to save the world from madness, chaos, money-hungry corperate stooges, and a smokin' hot "bad guy" named Sylar who likes to kill Superhumans and absorb their abilities) Sherlock (It's full-on British, but this show has everything necessary for a highly-functioning sociopath; murder mysteries with a plot as thick and juicy as steak, government hijinks that also involve family drama, and a very possible slash-bromance between a certain asshole-of-a-genius detective and his intelligent-but-in-denial coworker John.) Game Of Thrones (It's kind of a maddeningly addictive Ancient-Wolrd encyclopedia . . . slash Dungeon Master's Guide . . . slash Porno. For cereal, there's lots good stuff; drama, a crown, murder, some weird incest, black magic, dragons . . . and just enough butt-kicking characters amidst a sea of losers to keep you watching and rooting for Danaerys to win. Hazzah!) Kyo Kara Maoh (Totally an anime, one in which this adorable everyday teen finds out he has the ability to transcend between two universes; one in which he is a skinny, Japanese dork, and the other in which he is the next Demon King. Hilarity and drama ensues, as Yuuri (the Demon King) stumbles throughout this new world, accidentally insulting people, getting engaged, and generally saving the citizens at every turn. Ouran High School Host Club (An absurd cartoon about a gender-fluid girl who finds herself in debt to the local school's secret concubine club . . . and how she earns their favor, and eventual hearts, with wit, blundering charm, and big brown eyes as she boldly joins the gang to woo the school and prove that what's on the inside matters more than the outside.) Lucifer (The Devil got tired of running Hell, and decided to take a vacation . . . in the City of Angels. All is fun and debauchery, lots of deals are being made, until a series of murders start hitting dear Mr. Morningstar too close to home; and with the help of another mystical being who 'makes him human' in more ways than one, an angelic brother Hell-bent on destroying him, a demon-companion who's strength is only outweighed by her libido, and the delightful Detective Douche, the gang runs madly through the city, each evicting their own form of justice, making dirty jokes, and developing feelings they never before dared let themselves have.)Recommended FanFicNet Authors I do more reading on here than anything else, so don't be surprised that, while my writing is substandard, I've managed to find some absolutely smashing writers in the world of fangirling. If ever there were a day to be bored on mosey on through the site, these are the writers you'd want to pay some serious attention to. criminalxxxmindsxxxfreak (This chicks writes amazing and creative stories, and manages to be original and have good grammar throughout – I’m hooked!) gothina234 (The Empress of Evil, they call her. She writes really LONG and more often than not tragic stories – but they’re solid, and intricate. If she doesn’t make you cry, no one will.) tea-is-liquid-wisdom (More whumping, but these stories really focus on emotion and motive, and less on torture. It’s like reading an episode of your favorite TV Show.) DarknessIsTheUniverse (Very detailed stories, but with a lot of light-hearted moments – and quite the Reider, too. I thoroughly heart her!) Rayne McKenna (Very raw and passionate stories that teeter on the edge of scrutiny, tears, and love – all of it is slash, so far, but easily the most original and enticing that I've ever seen on here.) 2amWritersClub (Long oneshots, but very creative and uplifting ones. She's accurate, and leaves no stone unturned. Me likey.) seditionary (Without a doubt the most creative, adorable, sweet, sexy, happy-ending believable slash I've ever had the pleasure to read.) Eternal Soldier (If you want slash that's zero-percent angst or whump, but full of suspense, long tales, and lots of romance . . . well, see this now.) Nymphadora-CullenBAU (The best OC's I ever found, along with great flinching moments and cute little romance – and when one mixes her poignant little references with supreme levels of whumpage and kisses, therein lie stories worthy of the silver screen.) nebula2 (Well-thought-out, long, emotioanlly realistic and very In-Character stories. Sometimes sad, but with plenty of romance, as well.) silverwrym (Amazing whumpage, and well-though-out plot lines full of in trig and surprises . . . and a true genius with endings; they're always smarmy, satisfactory, and totally not-seen-coming.) everything-is-eninalus (Absolutely wonderful slash stories, always with fascinating twists in the relationship, and enough soap for bathtime.) Coopereid (Always complete, always fascinating, always long tales full of real life drama; forgotten birthdays, suicidal thoughts . . . but all 'tis handled in a believable way, and a character never has to suffer unduly before they get their fairy-tale finale. In a 'reality check' sort of way, of course!) cr8zymommy (Astoundingly detailed, vivid stories that delve into the minds of characters, and never fail to ask, nor answer, the question of "what if?" -- as well as plenty of blushing, happy moments. Frequently covers hard topics like abusive relationships, non-con, and survivalist stories.) rogueandkurt (All oneshots, all original, all the time. More fluff than Marshmallow Peeps, and just as sweet and wonderful, too.) SugaKane01 (Lights, camera, DRAMA. And slash; the getting-together, OMG-How-Will-It-Work-Kind. But, more than enough sap and brilliant, witty quips to make smiling possible. Nice one-line sexual harassment jokes, too.) SpencerRemyLvr (It's nothing but X-Men and Criminal Minds crossovers starring Gambit and Spencer Reid . . . but holy balls, what amazing writing. Even the 'little things' are important and memorable, and the 'adult scenes' . . . whoah.) QuirkyRevelations (A complete universal series dedicated to changing the entire basis of canon, with lots of heady repetition and emotional insight, especially with mental diseases. Yep, you know who I'm talking about) Ahmose Inarus (If one were ever looking for slash of the Hotch/Reid variety, this would be the chick to check out; she also writes butt-kickingly detailed and action-packed supernatural tales, with heavy references and details. Marvelous!) IntoTheWilds (This is a chick who writes heavy on the emotional side, with lots of twists, turns, and drama; be prepared to see characters stretched to the limit of reality, and look for all kinds of awesome AU, magic, and supernatural powers. Always original, this one!) theyrecomingtotakemeaway (Absolutely hysterical stories of slash, goofiness, and general crack; major OOC, but that's what makes it funzies) Fuchsias Attic (Intense, intense, intense slash, full of abuse and dub-con and so many, achy feels . . . but beautifully written, with a tragically confusingly wonderful ending every single time . . . a roller-coaster, this one.) wolf pawn (Weirdness squared, and a true drama-llama . . . but fast-paced and engaging, with lots of little "aw" and "derp" moments amidst a sea of twistedness.) Ayra Sei Ethari (Positively AMAZING mutant-AU stories that always mange to convey feelings of fear and apprehension with eventual, resounding trust and love, whether in a romantic or familial sense; stiflingly awesome story lines, too, with a real talent for alternate realities.) WingedWolf121 (The crackiest of crack-fics, full of dry humor and impossible reality . . . buts lots of feels intermixed with the laughter, as well.) jannikajade (Nauseatingly sweet stories about taking that risk and falling in love for the first time, filled with delicious kisses and leaving an aftertaste of 'aww' at the end!) FieryEclipse (Horrifying, gut-twisting STUPEFYING stories of the most dangerous kinds of love and obsession, of tortured souls and self-loathing. Twist ending make for the tears, and every descriptive word is another twist in the heart. So, so good . . . And so, so terrible.)Recommended AO3 Authors tiny_septic_box_sam (The sweetest of the sweet tales full of drama and every damn cliche one could think of, tying in with the decadency of youth and first love. Especially the gay kind.) Ook (All mutations, all kidnapping, all the time; slower-moving tales of love through force, and more pain than delight in the end . . . But true love wins over all obstacles, right?) Gamebird (terrifyingly intense stories that easily evolve from questions of life and imprisonment and (un)forgiveness to crack and the sweetest of lemons; majorly addictive, so all "Heroes" fans beware . . .) SophiaDreith (Intricate tales that show the good one everyone and how it balances out with the bad, going out of the way to show Light and Darkness in all forms of people and situations; love, obsession, disgust, sex, angst, exhaustion . . . And somehow, it's totally head!canon.)Quotes I Approve Of (21 Years Young, Sew Only 21 Quotes Allowed) “For those who believe, no proof is necessary.
