Soooo good! I was a bit apprehensive to read this high school AU but it did not disappoint at all! Very well written. Perfect interweaving of flashbacks and point of views. Right amount of lemony goodness! Sad to have finished but will definitely be a story I come back to read.

Just to clarify, I was discussing your story with a women who is part of the BDSM community and she concurred with what I wrote previously, if a person has a BDSM kink, it's part of their make-up, it doesn't just come about when they are older. They may not act on it, because they haven't found their dominant/submissive, until they are older, but as I said earlier, they found each other as young teens. I prefer the sweetish (though sometimes clueless) Derek as you have portrayed him. So it's after one in my time zone, so I will bid you adieu and hope you get your muse going again. Please not too much angst, Spencer especially has had enough in his young life already.

Just to clarify, I really don't see anything wrong with a sexual relationship between the boys, even when they are younger. Boys seem to have their first sexual experiences much younger than girls, an quite frankly, I can tell you because I worked in the field of child protective services, the age difference between Spencer and Derek is not an issue. For it to be considered sexual assault there has to be three years, not the two years age difference between them as exists in the story. Is there a problem because of the "activities" they engage in. I believe if a person has a BDSM kink, it doesn't spring fully formed when they hit eighteen or 21. They may not explore it until they find the right partner, which may not happen until they are older, but Spencer and Derek were fortunate to have found each other when they were quite young, so it is reasonable for them to explore that side of their sexuality at a young age.
