This is such an amazing story and that last chapter especially brought me to tears. I’m glad rossi is realizing how damaging the teams constant dismissal of what Spencer has to say is. You’d think profilers would know better than to ignore his way of opening up and sharing a part of himself.

oh, this is wonderful. I do plan to go back and reread it and review more. i'm supposed to be doing an online grocery order since I have out of town guests arriving tomorrow, but I've been too wrapped up in your story. I was worried when the Linda thing happened, because I didn't want the focus to turn from Dave and Spencer, but you kept the focus where the story needs it to be. I hope you'll add more someday. I miss Spencer being in the BAU, because I love him there, but this is a great adventure for him. I can see him someday as unit chief of the BAU. Great story.

oh, finally, someone who feels like I do about the whole fake Emily death thing. I thought JJ was hateful and have never liked her since. I can't even watch season 13, no Hotch, Emily the chief and JJ as an Emily wannabe. sigh.

This story is beautiful so far! And even though it was only a small part of the chapter, I can't get the mental image of Rossi tucking Reid up in bubble wrap and hiding him away in his closet out of my head, lol!

Okay, so this story is amazing. I hope you continue it, but no pressure. I'm just glad you shared what you did! I love your portrayal of the characters. Everything seemed so realistic. You presented consequences that might actually happen if this situation arose, instead of just making everything hunky dory. Anywho, love it! Nice work!

This chapter made me cry it was emotional! I feel bad for Spence because he is in shock but I hope that he recovers and builds a closer relationship with Rossi. It is nice to see something good happen to Spencer. Dave woild make a great Dad.

Amazing! Poor Spence though...to find out your life was one huge lie is horrible. Good thing Rossi was so understanding. And in the end, it all turned out for the better. Though it did take some time to get used to Reid not being on the team anymore. In fact, I still am getting used to it. I understand his reasons though and that leaving party...thar was cruel.
Your explanations as to how the team always treated him and ignored him reaching out to them...it hurt, especially since it rings true. I am certain they don't mean to make him feel unloved and unwanted, but looking back on their interactions, it's clear that they do and did and it makes me angry. Poor Spence. I am so happy for him that he found his calling with the foundation and that he and Kimura got together. Also that he and Rossi embraced their new relationship. I am also truly relieved that Diana wrote that letter. Hopefully she will get the chance to apologize to her son in person about confusing him with Christopher and to reassure him she loves him for himself.
About Fran and David's friendship...I like it and it would be interesting to see how they all react (Derek especially), if it ever comes to the point where it evolves into more than just friendship. I really like her understanding and support and how she helps Rossi with the realization that they've all treated Reid badly, reminding him that while he cannot change the past, he can change his attitude now. Reid deserves so much better. I love the role Henry and the other children play in making the adults realize the damage they did to poor Reidalthough so far it seems only Rossi has realized it. As for your decision to finally give Spence a break, I agree wholeheartedly. Though I admit I am a sucker for HurtComfort Reid stories, I agree the writers seem to like it far too much and they seem to prefer the hurt without the comfort. Case in point, this season (s12). Now, I haven't gotten around to watching it yet (seriously, the thought of what will happen to poor Reid makes me afraid to watch it at all- how on earth could someone truly believe Spence could be a murderer, really? I mean come on!), but not only does Hotch leave (another reason that makes me wary of watching), which will surely hurt Reid, then the writers actually go and put him in prison for 9 episodes. A place where Reid of all people should never be. Truly, can't they give the poor guy a break already? Apologies for the rant. Anyway, I'm all for having good things happen to Spence in this story. He deserves it. Looking forward to the next chapter

You are brilliant, and you really know Spencer. I love your author's note, and I could not agree more, and I will read this story until you stop writing it. I had sort of given up hope, to be honest, but I still counted it as one of my all-time favorites, finished or not.

I could not agree more that we need good things for Spencer. I'm all for reading your interpretation of the good things he needs in his life. Thank you for being willing to write them for us. While I am so happy to have focus on my favorite character during this last half of Season 12 on Criminal Minds, I can't help but think the show is going to end, and we will never get to see Spencer find the happiness and fulfillment that others on his team have enjoyed. My heart hurts at his Greek tragedy of a life.

I'm just soooo in love of your story! I check all the time to see if you updated it. I LOVE IT! Honestly I think it' s an amazing relationship, I adore it. The contrast between these two, and at the same time, the need that they both have for a family it's just heartbreaking. And I think Dave, so affectionate and demonstrative would fit perfectly with Spencer reluctancy of open himself to the others. I believe Dave efforts to get close to him gonna help him a lot.
