Gubefan1980 chapter 1 . 1/7/2016 Omg that is too adorable for words those two belong together. Sweet tender poignant I loved it. They look like they actually have something going on the program. I forbid you to get on that train. Outside the tent when he was exposed to anthrax waiting by his bed when he was in hospital the playful flipping of his hair the pats on his chest and Reid bringing coffee for no one but Morgan and 'he talks about you all the time " yeah I don't care how much of a ladies' man Derek is portrayed as Spencer is his main squeeze and the "girlfriend" is his beard. Yeah we finally joined the ranks of the enlightened. |
mindluver chapter 1 . 9/23/2015 So sweet. Loved it. |
Guest chapter 1 . 7/10/2015 Normally stories where the couple is just getting together for the first time are awkward, and I was afraid that that was what this was going to be. The second I realized that they were getting married, I just had to go re read those sweet things they said to each other. This story is perfection! |

bubblegum boss chapter 1 . 7/4/2015 Great story by the way. I couldn't stop smiling, and I've needed that.I've been super stressed lately. I am happy about gay marriage being legalized too.I don't want to live in a country where love isn't allowed. I love the story though, finding out what each of them would be like as a husband. I just love it. |

Annber03 chapter 1 . 7/4/2015 Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww :D! I think some of your sappy feeling rubbed off on me, 'cause now I want to just go hug these two goofballs and celebrate their upcoming nuptials with them (in other words, an invite, please, with a cherry on top?). Before I comment on the story itself, I'll first say that I share in your celebratory reaction to the Supreme Court ruling. SO thrilled when I got online that day and saw that big ol' headline. I'm very proud of this country for joining the others who've taken that step (and proud to live in a state that was allowing same-sex marriage relatively early on, too (since 2009)). So yay for that, and congrats to the happy couples who can now get married or have their marriages recognized nationwide thanks to that ruling. Okay. Now the story. This is so friggin' CUTE. I liked the entire discussion Morgan and Reid had over the couple who got engaged on live TV-and for the record, I'm on Reid's side in regards to public proposals. My concerns always come down to, "What if she turns him down?" and the embarrassment that would come from that for both people, and the fact that, as Reid so aptly notes, I think that's the sort of thing that should be an intimate gesture, shared only with close family and friends. I tend to think a lot of guys who do big spectacle proposals come across as show-offs, as though they're trying way too hard to impress the woman they're proposing to. It's not a way I'd prefer to have a man propose to me. Having said that, however, I can see why Morgan feels as he does, too. There are some public proposals that can be cute (yeah, I said "cute", come at me, Reid :p), and I do get the whole thing of being so in love that you're just aching to shout that fact to the world at large and that the person you love makes you so happy-that's a rather romantic sentiment, I think. And some men are no doubt very sincere and just like coming up with creative, unusual ways to propose to someone they love, and I can't find fault with that. So I guess I'd just say that's something each couple should decide for themselves whether or not they want to do. And I also felt for Morgan because of his reaction to some of the things Reid said about people who were that showy and rash and impulsive, like he was a little hurt by Reid's vehement complaints. Obviously we know Reid didn't mean it like that, and thank goodness he clarified in regards to Morgan specifically later, but still...aw. I also like the idea that they profile people off the clock. Because you KNOW they most definitely do do that :D. I LOVE the way Reid described the kind of husband Morgan would be. Particularly the whole thing of giving up his coat, or the two of them writing letters when separated on cases (and considering Reid's history with letters, it'd be nice to get some letters for a happy reason for once! Plus, in the case of his mom, and on the show with Maeve (since I don't know if that relationship was a thing in this story or not), letters are also a big part of keeping in touch with those he cares most deeply about-and it makes sense Morgan would be added to that list). The thing with Morgan reading the same books as Reid to give them more to talk about is utterly adorable and sweet, too, as is Morgan being all touched and reacting so happily to Reid's description of the kind of husband he'd be :). And on that note, I loved Reid's thoughts on that painting Morgan had hanging up, and how his whole thing with that painting and the painter was one of the things Reid loved most about him. The whole scene with them and that painting was incredibly sweet for some particular reason-I just really loved that part of the story. Of course, it goes without saying that I loved Morgan's description of the kind of husband Reid would be in turn. Especially the whole thing of Reid being quiet but moving and always unselfish, just immediately knowing the kinds of things Morgan would want and need help with, like the paperwork, or finding a jazz album. That is about as spot on a description of what Reid would be like in a romantic relationship if ever I've read one. Like I needed more reasons to show why I'd love to have Reid, or someone like him, as my husband someday. Be it with each other or with someone else entirely, anyone who gets either Reid or Morgan for a husband is officially the luckiest person ever, that much is certain. Morgan's whole speech to Reid starting from "I love you more than any sports team or beer brand" screamed "wedding vows" to me, and I'm taking a wild guess he'll say that, or something close enough to it, at their wedding :D? I really like your twist at the end of this story-when it first started, given the title, I thought this was going to be a story involving them getting together as boyfriends, and then simply imagining the thought of marrying someday. Then I thought it'd end with one of them proposing to the other. But when I realized at the end they were already planning on marrying within the week, and Reid was just so eager and couldn't wait, I think I might've squealed a little :) (and it would be so like Reid to be too excited to wait for the wedding day, to consider just eloping right then and there. And Morgan thinks HE'S the sappy one. Hehe. The idea that Morgan was the one to make Reid realize he wanted to get married in the first place is utterly lovely, too-I like the image of him looking at his ring. D'awww. And I loved the little bits of humor, with throwing popcorn and Reid's smart-*ss response to Morgan's "jerk" question, and cussing at the TV (I may have narrowed my eyes at the unwanted interruption, too-way to ruin a good moment, TV announcer!), and the jokes about a traditional wedding at the end. And "gallivant" and "la-la world". Oh, Reid. Too cute. I also liked this description of Reid, just 'cause, well, it sums him up well: "The younger man was a delightful mess of contradictions, a mishmash of sharp calculation and widespread intelligence quartered by moments of social confusion and zany wit." Yep :). Not hard to see where Morgan'd fall in love with him. And Morgan wonderfully proved why Reid loves him so much here, too. Very sweet, lovely, romantic story. And since your notes say something about starting a new multi-chapter fic soon, I shall now do a happy dance at that news while trying to wait patiently for it :). |
Sue1313 chapter 1 . 7/4/2015 This could not have been more sweet. What a world it would be if everybody could find their true love and have them express themselves so wonderfully. |
