How have I not found this!

I've read this story twice now and each time it feels like my heart has been beaten and then mended. I saw in one of the chapters that someone had complained about how 'slow' it was. That is absolute nonsense in my opinion. Too many authors tend to gloss over the mental healing people go through and I'm so glad that you took the time to acknowledge it and write it as well as you have.
I'm a little in love with this story ;) and I cannot wait to read the sequel!

I don't think I've cried so much reading a story at points it was really hard so read through my tears but thank you for giving us this wonderful story

Honestly, the ending is just... Meh. It's not bad, it definitely isn't, but it didn't leave any lingering impression either. I'm not sure what it's missing, but it's... Something. Also, what about his mother! His mother is a big part of Spencer, I'm sort of disappointed she had no appearance, not even in his thoughts, really.

Okay, um, Spencer is the dumbest genius I have ever known. That note he left could have had the address on it, so by the time the team catches up after they find it, Spencer would have had the chance to get Henry far enough away to save him from Vincent when the authorities showed. Or he could have slipped a cell phone on his person somewhere for Garcia to track. He could have dropped it just before he met Vincent so that Vincent wouldn't know it was even there. There were so many ways to make that work out better. Fucking dumb-asses.

So, Niall is stupid enough not to realize he's terrifying Spencer, but smart enough to be in counterterrorism? Well, shit, the FBI is going to hell by those standards, huh? XD

This is way too late because you finished this a long time ago, but GIDEON! He honestly was never my favorite in the show, I thought he was a bit annoying in his "I know all" attitude, but Reid loved him.

Then again, Elle may also be interesting to see since she has her own experience with being hurt in her home, even if it wasn't as severe as what Reid has gone through.

I'm most interested in whatever scene you may have with him seeing his mother again. She may be a bit crazy, but their relationship is beautiful. And she's SUPER protective, so imagine what she'll say about the whole; Reid was missing and presumed dead byost people for over a year. Just; my favorite example of her protective beautifulness: "Try to keep him here any longer and I'll claw your eyes out." *stunned look from the doctor and reid. Doctor turns to Reid.* "one night only." *doctor walks away and Reid's mother smirks at him.* "helps when they think you're crazy."

Me: *cries because that was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen in my life* XD (that's the episode where Reid starts remembering the boy who was sexually assaulted and killed while Reid was 4)

Awwwww! Just... Awwwwww! Idk what else to say. The JJ and Spencer scene was so, so cute. Though, I thought Morgan never told anyone about Carl? Not even his family? It's chill if you just twisted canon a little, I'm mostly just curious.

I usually don't read ANs, but I saw yours, and I haven't read the chapter yet, but I wanted to say, this story isn't too slow at all. I like the emotional stuff much better than most things, which is probably why angst stories are my life XD

Okay, well, everything I said in Chapter 9 was a lie then XD he didn't actually kill them, he just... Let them die. I thought he was literally killing them, like mercy killings. Oops. Though I'm sure you wrote it that way on purpose. This is way better though, because with Reid's character, he has such a high value to all life that it was odd to think of him actually killing someone. Even if it was a mercy killing.

Wait, no, a judge can totally sentence Reid for what he did. He just wouldn't go to prison. Most likely, they would put him in a psych facility. He'd still be guarded and locked up, but places like those help the mind. Or try to. He'd definitely get charged though.
