![]() Author has written 8 stories for Charmed, Secret Life of the American Teenager, General Hospital, and Glee. Okay, the basics: my name is Marissa and I like to write. In fact, I like to write so much that I've gone to school for it. Fingers crossed for making it big one day soon. Maybe. (Probably not, but I like to dream.) And to be honest, I'm guilty--like reeeeally guilty--of neglecting my stories, a habit that I'm desperately trying to curb, but my chronic procrastination makes it super difficult. I'm sure there's a support group out there somewhere and one day I'll find it and get the help I need. UPDATE: 6/19/07: As of right now, all of my Beyblade stories have been discontinued until further notice. Sorry, guys, but my interest has basically disappeared and I have no desire to continue writing them. I hate to disappoint, really I do, but I've outgrown the show and I want to concentrate on my other stories. Again, my apologies. UPDATE: 7/31/08: As of June 21st, I've been on FanFiction for FIVE years. A proud accomplishment and I felt the need to clarify it. =) UPDATE: 11/16/08: New pen-name. Again. I rather like this one. UPDATE: 8/15/09: It's been six years, one month, and a lot of days since I posted my first measly Beyblade fanfiction on here. However, seeing as I no longer have it on my computer, I won't ever have to suffer through reading what I call a flaming pile of dog poo ever again. Writing-wise, I like to think that I've improved since 2003, but since the oldest (posted on here, anyway) story dates back to 2005, you be the judge. Yes? No? UPDATE: 7/3/10: Okay. After seven absolutely lovely years on this site, I've finally decided to do something of a major overhaul with most of my stories. Actually, no. I lied. I'm really just going to remove/delete/obliterate any evidence of fanfics that have been sitting, unfinished and poorly written, for the last few years because, let's face it, I just don't care about them anymore. That doesn't mean that I'll never consider re-posting them somewhere down the line; I might. Take a looksie at my list of stories to see if any one of them is on my hit list. UPDATE: 2/14/11: Happy Valentine's Day, everyone, and I'm sorry for my self-imposed hiatus! I've been dealing with a lot of personal issues the past few months, as well as being completely swamped with schoolwork, but I'm trying to slowly get back into the swing of things here. I'm long overdue for an update on my SLOTAT story (it's coming, I promise), but I'm currently undertaking a new project in the General Hospital category. I'm hoping that starting up with my stories again will give me a nice outlet for all the stuff I have going on back home, so please bear with me. UPDATE: 6/21/12: I'm a horrible person for being as negligent as I've been with my ongoing stories, but I'm determined to get out of this writing funk and crank out some new material because, let's face it, in the NINE years I've been registered on this website (happy anniversary to me and !), my fanfic export rate is really pathetic...I need to change that. UPDATE: 4/1/13: It's been a while...again. And as you can see (or don't see...how many people actually look at this anyway?) I've not posted anything since my last profile update. My fandom has undergone a major shift as of late and I can't say when I'll update my other stories, or if I'll ever regain the spark I had when I started them. My interest in the content I'm authored under has practically become nonexistent. That's not to say I haven't thought up some new ideas; I have. In recent months I've been sucked into the endless abyss of Glee and The Walking Dead and since then my muse has begun to wake up from her ridiculously long hibernation. Hopefully I'll be able to put those ideas to .doc and export something sometime soon. UPDATE: 6/21/13: Ten years. TEN years. Ten YEARS. I've been a fanfiction lurker/wannabe writer/obsessive freak for ten years. Sure, my export rate with the actually writing part has been quite sad, but I'm super proud of how long I've been here. The community has grown so much since I first registered and it's only gotten better; just look at all of the fantastic stories I've come across since 2003. Seriously, imagine it. I've been on here ten years, but I was a reader long before that, so I can't even begin to throw out the number of storie's I've read since then...it's got to be somewhere in the high thousands. (Let's not forget that I've also been on here at least five times a day for the last decade, so it really adds up.) And I wouldn't trade it for the world. Happy anniversary to us, FanFiction. Looking forward to another ten years! UPDATE: 3/6/16: Still alive, but it's been a rough few years when it comes to writing (as in, I've had NOTHING to write about). Luckily, my muse is slowly emerging from her ridiculously long slumber and I'll hopefully be making a slow comeback in the next few months. |
