So let me just congratulate you for your accomplishments! You are awesome! In regards of the story, I really enjoy how you go into detail with each characters’ expressions( ex. The swishing of their tails and flattening of their ears- an aspect that can be easily forgotten by many, including me often times!) and relationships with others( ex. Tsu’tey and Leti’s cute cousin moments!) Also with the Na’vi cultures and clothing! Your story has given me great happiness, laughter, and sadness(during the sad parts). Let me once again say that I appreciate your work and thank you for publishing each chapter on this web. I am obsessed with this story and your writing, I love how imaginative and detailed you are and I find myself falling in love with every single character whether they are familiar to me or not! And honestly this is probably terrible of me but I love your characters so much I have an itch to see everyone’s happy little story, like Xuret (I really hope he finds someone too!) and Arat and Anaya and of course the lovely pairings of Cheryl and Noren and Norm and Tarazi, I love them all! (I even loved Imaz and his brother with the little part they played lol)

I'm beyond excited to have discovered that you're continuing this behemoth of a story until the end. I was lucky enough, around seven years ago, to stumble across a dreadfully inactive Avatar fandom page and discover this, and I've been with you every chapter of the way since. I re-read One of the People from time to time because your worldbuilding and character control is so exceptional, and I seriously love returning to this world whenever the homesickness hits. I'm beyond excited to see where this will go & how Joanna and Tsu'Tey's story will end up. Lots of love!

I thought my eyes were deceiving me when I saw two new chapters! Two! Freaking TWO! Oh my lord I thought I would never see this day! You don't know how much I wanted to scream! I couldn't since it was already 2 am! I reread it just to pass the time but when I saw that the end was 49 instead of 47 I literally tried to hold in my squealing! Oh my goodness it's good to have you back! Chapter 48 made me want to cry TwT but chapter 49 made me smile! Its so great that your gonna finish this story! Your a great writer! I also read Partner of a bad blood and This thing called parenting XD anyway, Great to have you back! Hope you have a great day/night!

I was on a roadtrip for about 8 days and I read this for 3 of them! My love of Avatar resurfaced during the trip and I found this fic recommended on a list! You can imagine my heartbreak at seeing it was incomplete and the ancient creation date; there's no way it could've still been active! But the newest update was listed as this year so I was so happy to realize it was being picked up again.

This fic is the perfect example of a fully developed fanwork! It blends into the series so well and the characters, even those on the side, are dynamic and extremely fleshed out. The development of the characters has been glorious to progress though, although I found myself ripping my hair out as I do at all all slow burns. Joanna is most definitely NOT on the track for Mary-Sue'dom and seeing her progress and mature was astounding. The detail in the writing is exquisite and the entire fic is just so well written!
I understand the fic was dropped for some time (I think 10?) but it feels like there is no separation in the chapters being written! I look forward to seeing more added on to this store over time. My only complaint is I feel as though the "Hidden Human Compound" was pulled in and forgotten at stages; there was a huge gap of multiple chapters from the mention of Joanna following another Avatar to the introduction of the group. To my knowledge it hasn't been mentioned since, but I'm not entirely sure I mind that since I'm wondering what their involvement with the planet is.
I would like, as a reader, to either see development on the Hidden Group within the next few chapters or have them dropped in favor of other storyline-based drama; although I understand if this is not a possability due to the author pre-planning chapters. When I read read the "Joanna follows Not-Tsu'tey" scene I assumed it had been the arrogant and rude Na'vi who had been his student that had confronted and insulted Joanna. As the chapters drew on I realized that was not the case.

All in all, this is a WONDERFUL fanfic and I hope it is continued and, eventually, finished!~

Thank you /so much/ for writing such a gorgeous piece; it's honestly a Tolkein-level project with all the time, effort, and love poured into it! In fact, it's more so since the LotR trilogy is only 580k-ish words and this is heading into the 800k zone!)

I haven’t logged in to this site in YEARS and when I do, randomly so, I see there’s a new update for this and I’m not lying when I say I almost CRIED!

Man, I almost CRIED when I saw this story had a new chapter.
Forget the "almost". I downright CRIED and SCREAMED when I was just taking a stroll in this site and the tags and then this fic presented itself with the date of the last update being of this year.
I had thought this fic forever lost. One of my favorites in this fandom. The Joy I felt to see it updated. GOD!
I've just been re-reading it for the past 3 days because I didn't want to miss anything. And once again it just captured me completely and this chapter is just marvelous and I was literally shaking when I started reading it because of all the emotion.
