First, super thanks to these awesome people:

conniebeauchampgrace – thank you for leaving a review, for following and favorite-ing(?) me and my fic. I LOVE PIPER too, I love everything about her and the actress playing her. :)

JC - I've learned that I just have to start writing or typing and let it flow, it's hard to just keep it in my head. I hope you find the inspiration to continue yours. :)

swiftstar13 - haha! I dunno why, but I really have the tendency to do that, leave on a cliffy. It's not planned, it just happens.

HollyShannenForever – you never fail to leave something for me to read at every chapter, it means a lot to me, thank you!

On with the story…

Chapter 35 – Sun Shower

Cemetery

"Hi, Mom!" she smiled awkwardly. "It's been a while, I know. Since the day you left, I never found the courage to visit you, somehow I thought… coming here, seeing this, would kill my hope that one day… one day, you could still come back… It's never easy. I thought I was doing okay. I thought it was effective. I was just trying to fool myself. I shut everyone out, ever since you left, I never let anybody in, I put up a brave front. I distanced myself, I built up a wall around me…" Tears started to escape her eyes. In this place, she can cry, no one can hear her, no one can judge her, and no one can laugh at her.

"Now, I don't know how to go back. I want to mom. I want to go back and breakdown and let people in. I wanna cry for help, but I don't know how. I've hurt the people that matters most in my life, I've given them nothing but hate." For the first time, she broke down, she cried her heart out holding on to her mother's name engraved on the stone. That's the only thing left of her to touch, to feel.

Then a voice called out to her. "Phoebe."

THAT voice, the voice she missed so much. That voice that always, always feel like HOME. She was afraid to look, so afraid that if she did, the voice will go away. "My baby." And that did it.

"Mom?!" she gave the woman the biggest and tightest hug she could give. "Mom, I missed you so much! So much mom! So much!"

"Me too, baby. I'm sorry you had to go through that. I don't want to leave anyone of you. I love you." Patty made Phoebe look into her eyes. "If there's anyone you should hate, it's me. You should hate me."

"No mom, I would never hate you. What are you saying?"

"For leaving you. But you have to know Phoebe…had it been you or Prue, I would've done the same thing baby. Over and over again, I would save you."

Phoebe was feeling all the guilt and she just couldn't look at her mother. She blamed her sister, she wished for her sister's death, she hated her sister for being saved by her mother.

"You lost me, but you still have them." Patty lifted her chin up to look into her eyes. "Let them in, Phoebe."

"I don't know how."

"The first step is always the hardest. But it's the only way to reach the second step. And once you take that first step, everything else will fall into place. " Patty knew, deep inside Phoebe is still that scared little girl, scared that the moment she let anybody in, she would also have to welcome the possibility of getting hurt.

"How about you start by sharing your time. When you give them your time, you are giving them a portion of your life that you'll never get back." Patty knew she's starting to get through to her daughter. Her own advice making her well up in tears, time is what she would wish for above all else, time to spend with her daughters.

Phoebe smiled for the first time in a long time, a real, straight from the heart smile. Like for the first time in a long time, things are starting to clear up. She hugged her mom. "I love you. I love you so much!"

….

A cold drop of water in her cheek awakened her. Her eyes opened up to see the sun shining so bright. Raindrops started to fall from the sunny sky. Sun shower.

She looked up at the sky and welcomed the raindrops. "Thank you mom." Phoebe whispered.

Time lapse

Dan and James turned state's evidence, and testified against Cole. Cole was arrested for kidnapping with attempted rape, but he was given a lighter sentence due to the fact that he's under 21 and because he pleaded guilty. Cole also surrendered a broken laptop which he said he used to record a video of what happened in his room that night. He said he was planning to show it off to his friends. But when things didn't go as planned, he deleted it and destroyed his laptop.

Manor - Morning

Phoebe was preparing for school, rummaging through her bag, when a hand holding a small box blocked her view. She looked up to see the owner of the hand.

"From Piper." Prue stated quietly and since Phoebe was just staring at her, she put the box down in a nearby table and went to kitchen without a word.

Phoebe just followed Prue with a look, she didn't know how to start, how to connect with her big sister. Her eyes went back to the small box. She opened it and there was a small note on top, To my baby sister, I still remember your favorite. :) xoxo

Under the note is a charm bracelet with letters P-H-O-E B-E and right next to her name is little butterfly. There's also a box of jelly beans, and it brought back so many happy memories, and her heart couldn't contain the emotion, her tears started flowing freely.

In the kitchen

"Grams, I can go to the hospital this morning, I don't have a class until after 12 noon, so it's okay." Prue was discussing with her Grams who will watch over Piper that morning.

"Oh sure, dear, that's good. So I can just do some errands around here today." Grams said.

"Grams, don't do everything. Leave some for me, I can do it after school." Prue smiled.

"Oh you know me, I cannot just stay put I want to be busy." Grams reasoned out.

"Can I go with you?" A little voice from the kitchen doorway interrupted Grams and Prue and they were surprised to see Phoebe. "-To the hospital I mean. Can I?"

Phoebe just kept the expectant look while biting her lower lip anxiously. Grams and Prue looked at each other and then back to Phoebe.

"Okay. I'll wait in the car." Prue said and then she left the room right away.

A teary-eyed Grams just hugged Phoebe and whispered a silent "Thank you."

In the car, on the way to the hospital. Silence was deafening, Prue looked everywhere except at the person on the passenger seat. The way to the hospital has never been this long, at least that's what she felt.

"Do you hate me?" Phoebe gained the courage to start. Prue acted as if she did not hear her. She was about to say something when Prue finally acknowledged her.

"I should." Prue answered and that made Phoebe look away. "But I don't." And Prue continued driving, no additional statements until the y reached the hospital.

After Pue parked the car and killed off the engine. Phoebe unfastened her seatbelt and was getting ready to get out of the car when-

"I'm angry at what you did. But I don't hate you." Prue continued, but still not looking. "Somehow, I was at fault too. When you shut us all out. I did the same to you. Since mom died, I never comforted you. I never tried to understand you. I never tried to reach out. I stopped being your big sister. As days turn into weeks and weeks turn into months… the harder it gets."

Prue finally looked at Phoebe with apologetic tears. "And I'm sorry. I'm so sorry."

"Oh Prue! Me too." Phoebe burst into tears as well and for the very first time in a very long time, she hugged her sister. They held each other and drew strength from each other.

First step has been done, there's still a long journey ahead.

THE END

Just kidding! :)
