![]() Author has written 15 stories for Total Drama series, and Sly Cooper. I am a fangirl of Total Drama, Sherlock, and Sly Cooper. That's basically it. 4/12/2015: Also to anybody reading any of my stories from 2010-2012, I am sorry, I hate those stories when I look back on them. Mainly because I was like 14-16 when I wrote or at least started those and I had no chill and novice writing skills. Hopefully I have improved in the more recent years in your guys eyes. It is still a bit of a learning curve for me. I am praying that Sly 5 is announced in 2015. And I am so excited for the Sly Cooper Movie in 2016, you have no idea. They really just need to get Kevin Miller back to voice Sly PLEASE. About half of this, I admit, is from malzi21's profile, but with some changes -mainly because he described pretty much exactly how I felt about most of the couples to a T. (Most of them mind you, there were some opinions I disagreed with or added more to.) But then again if I tried to explain why I liked/disliked these couples from TD,...I would have written almost the exact same things anyways. So there that is... Favorite Couples: Geoff-Bridgette (Gigette): I have supported the couple since season 1. They are both really laid back and chill, and their personalities really complement each other. It was clear that they were never going to be the power couple on the show, but then again, why would they need to. Everything seemed to simply work between them. Then TDA came. Let me tell you, this season frustrated me to no end. Yes, I get it. Hormonally imbalanced teenagers make out incessantly. I witness this daily. But would it kill the writers to develop their characters a little bit further? What happened to the complex characters that you revealed them to be in TDI? You know, Bridgette being an intelligent, down-to-earth, eco-friendly, level-headed overall unique and well-rounded person? Geoff, being a slightly dim-witted, but overall easygoing, good-natured guy that everybody seems to like? They were all but relegated to a running gag. Then with the Aftermaths, all they ever did was fight with Geoff's ego, then all that make up/make out. With TDWT, the fact that Bridgette fell so easily for Alejandro bothered me insanely. She's way more complex than just some dumb lovestruck teenage girl, but apparently the writers forgot about that. I was incredibly disappointed by what the writers made her become. Fortunately, they finally made up and seemed to have few problems the rest of the way. They have made it through many trials, and in the end they are a couple in love. They have so much more depth than the idiot writers gave them. Gwen-Duncan (Gwuncan): Ever since the episodes Hook, Line, and Screamer and TDDDI I liked these two together. I remember thinking at the time that they would make a good couple. You know; similar personalities, interests, and I personally love the best friends to lovers dynamic in these types of couples. What could go wrong for these two? But of course there was Duncney, and I actually liked them together until the special. Then I learned: Damn, Courtney is a complete and utter bitch! When Gwen-Trent fell apart (in the most bullshit way possible), I'll admit I was sad but then I saw the opportunity for these two to happen. Sadly though, Gwen wouldn't last (again, more of this season's bullshit), and the rest of TDA was just D/C soap opera that was a pain to sit through. I celebrated when this season was over. It was that bad. With TDWT, I saw a new dawn, and the writers finally capitalized. They way they hooked up wasn't exactly chivalrous, but I didn't care. (Okay, I actually do care because that was really a dick move.) D/C was history! They complement each other really well, and considering the circumstances, there will always be drama surrounding these two, and I like that. For better or for worse, I'm glad they finally realized that they were right for each other, and at least gave each other a shot. (And P.S: I don't completely hate Courtney, the writers fucked up her character to begin with. I really did like her in TDI -she wasn't my favorite by a long shot and she was a bit bitchy, I admit it - but the next two seasons just took it to another level. She went from a feisty, Type-A, competitive character I genuinely kinda liked to someone I actually struggle to put up with. At least she had compassion for other people in the first season, where that compassion went, NO ONE KNOWS. And one more thing, why does Gwen get all the hate? You realize that Duncan kissed her to begin with, right? No matter what she did, the damage was done. I mean, Tyler was there, he was going to tell somebody. It was Duncan's fault. But since Duncan is pretty much untouchable by the entire fanbase (on both sides mind you) Gwen became the convenient scapegoat like always.) He gets a free pass, and even though I love the guy, you gotta admit that is some bullshit. If they break up in season 5...the writers will get tons and tons of anonymous hate mail from me. Seriously, Hell will be unleashed. 10/8/2013 - *sigh...RAGE-FILLED SCREAMING* THAT'S IT. HELL IS UNLEASHED. Seriously, that had to be the most out of nowhere, idiotic break up ever! And it made NO SENSE. All season Duncan was devoted to Gwen, supporting her, blowing kisses and then in one episode he just suddenly is interested in Courtney again?!?!? He barely gave two shits about her in the previous four episodes! What the hell writers?! And could their breakup have been any more rushed and forgettable!? WHAT WAS THE POINT OF IT??? After episode 7 TDAS went downhill, I'm pretending it doesn't exist. Me and tdifreak have really got some work to do with our rewrite...Because that was unacceptable on all standards (and not just about Gwuncan, I mean 90% of the season). It is irritating to me that the writers would so lazily and uncharacteristically break up the MOST developed couple on the show after all the drama they went through in WT, yet they leave Mike and Zoey intact as the most boring final two ever. Ughhhhhh... I will ship them always, no matter what the writers of TDAS say. Alejandro-Heather (Aleheather): Ah, this one is complex from the start. Both are evil, both are full of themselves, both are insanely smart, yet they can't stand each other. Cliche? Yes. I don't care. Anyway, I loved how Alejandro was so perfect at everything, yet in the end it seemed that Heather always triumphed. The last 2 episodes were riveting. She betrays him, they both make the finals, he finally professes his love... then she knees him in the balls and he gets scorched by a volcano. Then the million is lost forever. This adds serious intrigue to any relationship, forget one as vicious as theirs. I guess it would all come down to Alejandro and how receptive he would be of a relationship. I know Heather probably isn't big on apologies (understatement of this profile) but I find it hard to imagine her doing simply nothing about it. Honestly though, if they can move on past that, and if Alejandro heals properly, I can see them working out. They are both so competitive, yet they can finally find their equal in each other and find their happy medium. Their common ground really extends beyond the fact that they're both evil. They have very similar mindsets in nearly every aspect. They were both obviously tortured by one of their siblings, and I thinks that had a profound impact on both of them. They're both methods of getting what they want, when they want it, and I think that traces back to their childhoods. As confident a facade they both put up, I think they're both really insecure at times, and I think they can both significantly help each other out in that department as well. At the end of the day, this is a match made in heaven (or hell, take your pick!) Them getting together is one of the only things TDAS was good for. B-Dawn (Bawn): The writers seriously fucked this one up. B is awesome! He needs no words; he is just that cool! This guy can do whatever he wants whenever he wants, yet he's so freaking chill about it! This dude literally epitomizes epicness! This dude could've been in line for some serious character development. Maybe get over his shyness? Maybe give him one fucking line for the season? Nope, apparently not. Dawn had some serious potential as well, why implement a fucking psychic just to dump her 5 episodes later? This whole 13 episode thing is seriously lame. (Characters cannot have proper development in such a short timeframe. I pick on Zoey in particular, but really, it happened across the board.) Anyway, from the limited interaction that they had, they seemed to hit it off really well. They understood each other, again, with no words needed. Yet at the same time, there are some significant differences, the main one being that Dawn is super nature-oriented and B is super tech-oriented. Regardless of how well two people understand each other, that's bound to be a clash of some sort down the road. Not a monumental one, I wouldn't think (considering Dawn's pretty much the best therapist ever) but there is something, and that makes it interesting. I'll admit, this couple is also rather bland at the end of they day, but I'm still attached to these two. Despised Couples: Gwen-Trent (Gwent): Ok, I don't despise this couple. They're here by default. I actually really liked this couple in season 1. They were a good match. Summer love, both genuinely nice people. There was definite contrast going on, Trent obviously being the popular musician, Gwen being the loner goth. But then there was the clear similarity between them artistically. Granted, one being music, one being actual art, but the similarities were clearly there. Overall, they were an extremely well-rounded and likable couple. Heck, they legitimately earned the right of being the most focused on couple of the season. They were just that good. So yeah, I found it appealing. And from what I saw, so did most other people. But then came TDA, and they were history before we even saw it coming. I hated how the writers made Trent suddenly go insane. That was bullshit. I have nothing else to say about that. Trent seemed to be a really stable and logical guy. You know, his head seemed to be on his shoulders tighter than most, and that was part of why I really liked him. To see him go totally off his rocker like that was... really depressing. I still really do like Trent as a character. It's really sad that he's fallen from grace now except in T/C fics or he's going insane and killing Gwen or something. (Seriously though, from OCD, a fairly common disorder that literally everyone has for some aspect in their life to deranged serial killer? Is the fanbase that disturbed?) I for one really hope Trent, regardless of how he does it, makes a strong comeback because I can't think of anyone who deserves it more than him. Overall, T/G was a really solid couple that could've seriously gone places (and a couple I would still support if they did.) The only reason that they are here because if they exist, there is no G/D, and again, Duncan's a better fit for Gwen than Trent is. Also the more I thought about it; looking back on the show this couple is so incredibly BORING to me. Duncan-Courtney (Duncney): I liked this couple in season 1. No, seriously, I did. I'm not kidding. They were a cute summer fling, cliche good girl/bad boy couple. It was pretty funny, I'll give them that. Then TDA came. Then I saw that this couple had absolutely no substance other than fighting/making out. Let me tell you, that got old, fast. Honestly, who makes a complete fucking paper stack of "rules" for a relationship and flaws that must be corrected? Who kicks their boyfriend in the fucking "kiwis" like a zillion times? TDWT just brought more of the same. Courtney was being a controlling bitch to Duncan, I can see why he quit. He was totally whipped, just saying. G/D is just so much better for everyone involved. Gwen's happy, Duncan's happy, and if Courtney can't move on and wants to act like a bitch about it, then that's her problem. No one deserves to be cheated on, but the fact that she was in a dysfunctional relationship that could barely stand up on its own to begin with, the fact is she needs to move on at some point. Her whole revenge obsession just made her look terrible. Yes, I feel bad that she got cheated on, but every antagonist except for her had gotten their comeuppance except for her, she had it coming. And she should feel lucky that she was the only one who wasn't balded or maimed at some point. She deserves to be sometimes, but again, the huge fanbase that I have yet understand protects her from anything more than minor nuisances. Anyway, these two had almost no positive interaction from Season 1 on (seriously, don't deny it. You know it's true) and that "love" they shared, no offense but that appeared more as lust to me. Honestly, I cannot remember one time from Season 1 on where they showed any real emotional commitment. For Duncan, a hot feisty chick that tuns him on. For Courtney, a mere project to make a "perfect boyfriend" out of him. If she has to go throughout that much just to make her boyfriend satisfactory, she should really see other people. Yes, TDI was cute, and it was the only really good season that I didn't lose my mind over, but I don't base all of my judgements off that season alone. Time has passed, the characters have all moved on, and frankly so have I. Duncan-Zoey (Doey) : Why is this couple so popular? No really, I demand to know. I feel like I am part of the 5% or so of the fandom that doesn't ship these two. First off, I obviously have too much love and attachment to Gwuncan, and honestly Mike and Zoe just deserve each other, I feel like they would just drag any one else down. I admit that I thought they were kinda cute at first, but I thought they would never work out. If anything, Duncan and Zoey had more of a big brother-little sister vibe. Then I kept seeing it again...and again...and again. I guess I saw this couple too much for my liking. I also kept seeing posts where Zoey called Duncan "daddy" and I couldn't do it anymore. Not to mention, aside from all that, this couple fails on individual development. People say that it would help Duncan be more soft or whatever, but hey it's already happened - look at season 5 before it turned to shit and his development throughout the entirety of the show. As for Zoey...exactly WHAT change does SHE get out of the relationship? From what I saw, NOTHING. This couple also just bores the living hell out of me and annoys me to no end. I am begging the writers, never make this couple happen, please. Scott-Courtney (Scourtney) : No. Just no. Why did this couple ever become a thing in tdas? They have to be the most forced couple of the entire series. And their relationship, if you can even call it that, didn't even last more than an episode or two. I could have seen them being enemies for sure, competitive rivals, forming an alliance to get farther in the game or at the very least frienemies. But a couple? Hell, no. They share absolutely no common traits or interests. If the writers had actually taken their time to develop them (and do so with both of them in fucking character) this could have actually been an interesting couple. But the way they were portrayed in All Stars ruins any and all potential for them as such. Like (To a lesser extent): Noah-Izzy - At first, this mainly served as my response to NoCo, but think about it. Why hasn't Noah filed a restraining order? She's a fucking endangerment to his life. The fact that he hasn't... there's something going on here. Besides there were legitimate hints in TDWT. (Maybe not necessarily romance but friendship at least. There were more hints for them than for other popular fanon couples. That's a start right?) Lindsay-Tyler (Lyler) - They are so adorable. Since Lindsay actually remembers him and everything now is great and I love that they're so loyal to each other. Not my favorite but they're sweet. Not to mention they are they ONLY original couple established in TDI that hasn't broken up, even temporarily. So in a way, they are the most stable couple of the series. Trent-Courtney (Trentney) - They both know the pain of heartbreak, so I'm sure they'd be compassionate at the very least. It'd be a bit of a process, but I'd be willing to wait. (And it's a legitimate peace offering, just take it!) Besides, they are both musical, closer personality wise than they were with their previous love interests, and honestly at this point Trent may be the only guy even willing to put up with her. Plus this way Trent and Courtney will move on for good and everyone will be happy. Jose-Courtney (Courtne) - Yes I am well aware that this couple hasn't even shared a sentence and Jose has only appeared once on the show itself. But the more I thought about and saw what everyone else talked about with this couple, I began to see the appeal. The only time we saw Courtney completely content in a relationship was when she was with Alejandro in WT, even if it was just manipulation on his part. Courtney wants perfection, Alejandro is perfection and somehow Jose is even more perfect. She would be in heaven with a guy like Jose. Courtney may not be my favorite character, but I think it would be nice to see her legitimately happy; Jose, could easily make that happen. Chris-Chef (Chref) - I ship them romantically and as bros. Plus the show hints at it at least once every season. Scott-Dawn (Dott) - I used to hate this couple, a lot. But...tumblr and the rest of the internet got to me. What really sells this couple for me, is the head-canons and fanon ideas that people (sallychan and squidsmeister) created. They made me see how this couple COULD work if the show ever made it happen, on and off show. There were also a few moments from season five that made me see how Scott COULD possibly get along with Dawn, again without the competition separating them. If season 5 made me like anything, it was Scott. Dislike (to a lesser extent): Cody-Sierra (Coderra) - General rule of thumb: if you have a stalker, don't give them any signs of encouragement. It will only make it worse. Cody has now more or less accepted Sierra. It. Will. Only. Get. Worse. I honestly don't know what Sierra sees in him. Cody has turned into my most hated character on the show, more than Ezekiel, more than Justin, even more than fucking Mike. Cody is just a perverted little creep. Give Mike some credit at least he never pursued a girl who constantly told him "no" and he never spied on Zoey or took pictures of/with her while she was asleep. Cody either deserves his stalker or no one. Coderra is the only time I can even tolerate Cody but even then that is never going to be enough for me to like the couple.
