I am so delighted with this story! It is intelligent and elegant, restrained, neat and insightful. Interestingly, I only just thought that the other day about Sherlock and the upside down Maslow pyramid - we seem to think alike! I really like the way to work out the difference between needing and wanting. I've never quite understood why "I need you" is supposed to be a declaration of love. Now, "I choose" is another matter entirely! Anyway, brilliant story.

So, you had me in tears with this story from the point at which Sherlock realized her loved her. I always find it remarkable when people can write Sherlolly this way, before season 4 happened and Sherlolly became caon. I love your idea about needing/wanting,and how grows to realize he wants her. "He feels very much like he's wearing his heart on his face." Gorgeous line! The only thing I would have liked, romantic as I am, is to have seen her named as Molly Holmes in the "Happily ever after" part, to show he was no longer afraid to take that last step of commitment, or perhaps a glance at the gold ring on his or her finger. Nevertheless, this was exquisitely crafted. You are a wonderful writer! You captured Sherlock's essence pre TFP so well, knew he and Molly belonged together without having that to anchor your rhought process. Thanksfor this wonderful story!
