I am blunt but can be tactful when called for.

I hate reviewing stories for the fact I can't get to the bloody point. I can do 'SQUEE' reviews but giving criticisms is a pain in the arse because I don't know whether the author will appreciate my words, take them as being too harsh on their story or style, or get offended and give the argument that 'if you could do better than you should write it yourself.' I overthink my words and then I get flustered and when that happens I just freeze and decide 'They don't need my review. Not like they'll take it for what it is anyway.'

I am someone who reads epic - think 200-500k words - fanfic stories only if they are well-written; with proper spelling, good grammar, nice pace and few mistakes. Not that I won't read smaller stories. It's just that a good portion of small stories, not that there aren't the same of long ones, have good ideas and plots but they're not well written or thought out. It sucks when that happens because I really think that they could be good, they just don't live up to their potential.
