![]() Author has written 6 stories for Rise of the Guardians, Harry Potter, and Criminal Minds. Previously "NightmareWorld". control of chaos- http://www.fanfiction.ws/u/2683445/- is my beta reader and twin sister. I refer to her as Tsuki (Japanese for 'Moon'), and she'll call me Sekai ('World' in Japanese). We have a shared account on here called Takanami- http://www.fanfiction.ws/u/2806570/Takanami -('Tidal Wave' in Japanese). And THEN I ended up writing with a group of friends, Writer With Sprite, Torn Apart Paper Dinosaur and rainstripe, and my sister. We wrote a few stories using this http://www.fanfiction.ws/u/3184149/Writers4All account. FFSAS The SAS is a highly qualified elite military group that operates for Britain. Men from it die every month while we sit here at our computers typing about fictional characters from that group, usually being astounded or amazed at the capabilities of a kid half their age or adopting a kid half their age and then being astounded at how much trauma the kid has been through. Seriously. Now, I won't pretend I absolutely hate this idea and that we all should just trash our ideas. Hell, I've written multiple stories myself for AR. But we still have to respect that the SAS is real and that it exists for more than just a group of writers who need some more characters. It's for our freedom and liberty and everything we cherish, and for other countries's freedoms and safety and everything they hold dear. I cannot slander that name in my stories. This was supposed to be a note that would be put in as an apology. It was supposed to say "I am sorry, but because of these reasons I will be taking down all of my Alex Rider stories." To avoid someone stealing my work, I had planned to hand the story off to someone else so it could at least hang around fanfiction, because I know there were people out there who loved some of those stories, but I just didn't want it on my account anymore. Because my first choice for holding onto these stories turned me down quite kindly, I had to reconsider another way. It occurred to me that the soldiers we have been writing about are not SAS. They do not undergo training at all like the real British soldiers at Brecon Beacons. Generally, our characters do not act like real SAS men, and most of the information we use to describe their training, the camp, the people, and any other possible details about SAS tends to be completely fabricated. Summary: The SAS we write about does not exist. The soldiers we are writing about are not Special Air Service. They do not operate like them. No. They are... Stalker Fan's Special Air Service. ...But that would be a ridiculous name to call them. Instead, I have opted to call them FFSAS - Fanfiction Special Air Service. They were originally based off of the real SAS, but after a certain point, we're really just making fanfiction off our fanfiction now. The people we are writing about were created, designed, incorporated, and used by fanfiction writers. We have created a whole new fictional brand of the military. I can't keep up my stories while most of the characters walk around with titles that they truthfully don't deserve anymore than I deserve to be called an SAS member. I am going through all my stories and replacing the "SAS" with "FFSAS", because that is their actual title. And in all truthfulness, we should be proud. We created a whole new and intricate organization without ever contacting one another with plans to do so! This was a group created for the writers and by the writers, and the writers will see it done. This group will continue to control the AR fanfiction universe. All I ask is that we do not shame the true name by falsifying what they actually do. I would be delighted if you used my idea and did the same to your stories and spread the word. Thanks. Story Notes: Um, people who have read both my sister's 'Facade' and my 'Why to Continue', just know that the scenes that seemed exactly the same were not planned in any way between us. That was a complete accident that neither of us realized had occurred until about a month after I finished my story, and a week after she posted her chapter with that scene. We didn't mean for that to be in both of ours. Twin telepathy, I guess. Runaway was continued into Rivers. Rivers, in turn, has a sequel called Crosscurrent. Current: -Crosscurrent is being written with the wonderful Zephyrus Genesis. That being said, I'm afraid it won't be updated very fast because the chapters are longer than normal and the story is longer than normal so there has to be a halfway decent plot. (Shocking, I know.) It's fun to write and will be finished, all the same. -Why to Continue is being rewritten, but I won't post anything until it's all done. [favorite quotes: "We sometimes forget, I think, that you can manufacture weapons, and you can purchase ammunition, but you can't buy valor and you can't pull heroes off an assembly line." -Sergeant John Ellery, 16th Regiment from the Battle of Normandy "Everyone has an Angel. A Guardian who watches over us. We can't know what form they'll take. One day, Old man, Next day, Little girl. But don't let appearances fool you; they can be as fierce as any dragon. Yet they're not here to fight our battles. But to whisper from our hearts. Reminding that it's us. It's every one of us who holds power over the world we create. You can deny angels exist, convince ourselves they can't be real. But they show up anyway, at strange places and at strange times. They can speak through any character we can imagine. They'll shout through demons if they have to. Daring us, challenging us to fight. ... And finally. This question. The mystery of whose story it will be, of who draws the curtain. Who is it that chooses our steps in a dance? Who drives us mad, flashes us with whips, crowns us with victory when we survive the impossible? Who is it that tells all these things? Who honors those we love with the very life we live? Who sends monsters to kill us, and at the same time sings that we'll never die? Who teaches us what's real, and how to laugh at lies? Who decides why we live, and what we'll die to defend? Who chains us, and who holds the key to set us free? It's you. You have all the weapons you need. Now fight!" -Sweet Pea from Suckerpunch Sharpen up your teeth, your dreams are more than worth defending in a fight that's never ending. Go on; go ahead and prove me wrong.- The Used A-Team(series, not movie) Hannibal: Murdock, where'd you get this plane?- Murdock: Off the repair line- Hannibal: And it would be ridiculous of me to think it was fixed.-... Face: Murdock, what's going to happen?- Murdock: We're going to crash.- Face: No, really, what's going to happen?- Murdock: We're going to crash, and die.-... *plane crashes* Murdock: And that concludes our flight. Thank you for flying Miracle Airlines.- A Murdockism (A-Team): Crashing: It's simply relocating the plane because of a lack of thrust and lift functions. Good Omens Adam: I don't see what's so triffic about creating people as people and then gettin' upset 'cos they act like people. Curtains Chris: I have to rewrite the whole choreography, and I have less time to do it than Moses had to part the Red Sea. And he had God on his side. Curtains Chris: Shall we observe a moment of silence to match the audience's response to Jessica's first number?- Aaron: Chris!- Chris: Oh, all right. Jessica was part of our company and now we part company. I'm sure we shall all remember her in our thoughts and resumes. And now as thespians, I know you'd like to express your sorrow, both as a tribute and an acting exercise. Curtains Cioffi: They performed the autopsy on him.- Chris: Did they drive a stake through his heart to be sure? | |||||||
