movies: the Lord of the Rings trilogy, all of the Star Treks (but mostly OS, NG and AOS/2009) The Matrix (the first and only one), The Last Samurai, The A-Team, Rise of the Guardians, Shawshank Redemption, The Avengers and anything that has Scarlett Johannson, Dev Patel, or Kevin Spacey in it. Also my hate-love relationship with RDJ.
tv: The Newsroom, Castle, Firefly, The Mentalist, Orange is the New Black, Parks and Recreation, House of Cards, and The Finder. Also a sucker for 80s mysteries (Columbo; Murder, She Wrote; etc.) and cheesy horror films. Have you watched Sharknado? I don't know what that was, but it was definitely an experience.
