As much as they loved the lavish parties thrown for the Vongola family as a whole, the Tenth Vongola's guardian and other close friends had to admit that they preferred the small gatherings held at the Tenth's home in Namimori.

As fun as these were, though, they still all had to admit that when it came to sleeping arrangements, it was not always as easy as it seemed. The Tenth's home, while large enough to comfortably house two or three people, and snugly fit four or five, was definitely not large enough to account for the entire inner circle of Vongola's Tenth.

That was probably how, come New Years' Day, if any of the various Mafiosi had woken up while the others were asleep, they would have found the sleeping arrangements to occasionally completely contradict the relationships they had during the day.

One would have found Yamamoto and Lambo, the Vongola guardians of Rain and Thunder, respectively, crammed on a futon, in front of which lay Tsuna, the Vongola Tenth himself, in between his Storm and Mist guardians, Gokudera and Mukuro. It was a wonder in itself that Mukuro even came to the party, but it might have been because of the frail girl nestled into his side, called Chrome, who was the other Mist guardian. The girl's arm had, sometime in her sleep, moved to rest on top of Fuuta's face, who was the boy—man, now—on the other side of her. At his feet was a kotatsu, under which the Arcobaleno Reborn was sleeping peacefully. Opposite from him, another two Arcobaleno, Colonello and Lal, snuggled up against one another (instinctively, Lal would claim later), both snoring softly. Against the wall behind them, nestled under a blanket, was Bianchi, sister to the Storm Guardian on the other side of the room. An unnaturally-colored poison snack burned a small hole in the floor, just next to her hand. A small portion of the blanket, the farthest corner from Bianchi, was draped over just the feet of Dino, the boss of the Cavallone family. Just underneath the window to Dino's right, the Vongola's Sun guardian Ryohei slept soundly. If one looked carefully out the window above Ryohei's head, one might have noticed the Cloud Guardian, Hibari, sleeping on the branch of the large tree outside, a small chick nestled on the top of his head. Below the tree, in the bushes, and very loudly, slept Ken and Chikusa, subordinates of Mukuro, apparently waiting for their boss to awake in the morning. Upstairs, in Tsuna's bedroom, Kyoko, Haru, and I-Pin slept soundly, away from the crowd, the occasional loud noise wafting up from downstairs.

In the morning, everyone would awake and stretch out, complaining about their knees or heads or elbows, or how Gokudera or Ryohei snored too loudly all night, or how horrible it was to wake up and have their head pounding that loudly after the night of sleep they had had, but deep down, everyone admitted that, despite how often some claimed to take no interest in being part of the Vongola, it was moments like these that proved that they were, indeed, a very close and caring family.

A/N: I'm...not sure where the idea for this story came from, actually. I don't really remember what I was doing when I wrote this, but I kinda like it now.
...OTL I'm still not confident in posting things on here. XD Read & review, please~!
