Writing is definitely hard, even I took years to learn how to properly write. Of course to those who speaks English as second language, just as I do, grammar would not be the one thing I put pressure on. It is still essential in writing, and definitely adds to the aesthetics of the story even more once you flourish your comprehension and grammar skills. In my opinion, the best kind of stories comes from the way you create your concepts. Conceptual is the key! - no matter how you write, if the setting is interesting, it will capture the reader's heart for sure. Concepts come along with character designs and plot composition, these are necessary components to focus on in order to have interesting stories. I advise taking on Mary Sue tests - in order not to have the most perfect characters but one with balance of strengths and flaws. Composing plots too must have their sequences, either you want to rush in from scene to scene or have one smooth flow. I suggest not to do POV changes, as it disrupt the smoothness of transitions and not to confuse the readers with the kind of intonation. Plot composition holds the component of flow, tone and development of characters. Focus on the last one, especially, since characters are the main thing of stories as well. But most importantly, effort and devotion is everything! Your determination to write will determine your success, so I wish you all the best and write on! -Mozu The Mochi |
