Author has written 9 stories for Ninja Turtles.
Hi, I'm a 39 year old kiwi, with too much writing in her head, and not always enough sleep. I've been a huge fan of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles since I was a kid (orginal 1987 Cartoon and Comics). I recently reconnected with my childhood hero's after seeing the 2K14 Movie, and I've needed to practice my writing for a book I'm supposed to publish on a completely different subject. 000 I've recently been the target of some cyberbullies on this site. The above quote is something I found on a anti-cyberbullying website. If you are being cyberbullied you can report them to the site admins, or if its more vague, and its TMNT related, then check out the Forum TMNT Drama Free. More recently I've set up a Forum call Ninjutsu Resource which contains some of my research notes on Ninjutsu. Its got some great gems to help writers become more realistic in their representations of Ninja and ninjutsu. I'm not an actual ninja (too unfit and sickly), but I do enjoy writing about them! For those who love the reboot of the TMNT Movies, there's now a 2K14 Universe - TMNT forum, to help like-minded writers make the best of the new 'World' available to us. Please give me reviews and feedback on any areas you see need work, and tell me what I'm doing right. Love you all The Lady of Souls 000 Mad TMNT fan I am, I just had a eureka moment during my ninjutsu research! They are called the 'Four Gates of Freedom': Courage, Power, Clarity, and Zest (for living). The correspond nicely with my favourite heroes Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo. I find it really special when I can get into another author's head and see the development influences of their characters. I'm a geek that way! 000 I'm currently writing a series called Brotherly Bonding on the Cusp of Adulthood, which ties in with A Season of Love. It follows the guys over a three month period, where Master Splinter has left them to fend for themselves, in an attempt to let them try adulthood. A Season of Love follows what Master Splinter is doing while he is away from them. They merge occasionally, and I will post the odd one-shot, rather than clogging my story up with long flashbacks. A Night at the Masquerade is one of those flashbacks. Honeymoon in Honeywell is Raph and April's week long honeymoon in a cabin that April gave Raph a voucher for on his birthday. Donnie's Honeymoon at the Reynolds Estate is Donnie and Jaynes honeymoon at her father's mansion. Toby and Megan's Movie date follows Toby as he takes his best friend to the pictures. 000 I also have another unrelated story about cyberbullying called Turtle Cyberwars. This story is about the turtles writing fanfiction, and being targeted by a group of self-proclaimed 'rule's police'. It shows both sides of the debate about what consitutes cyberbullying, and the ways sucessful or not that are used to combat this disgusting behaviour. Another unrelated story I'm currently working on is Empty Promises, which takes a look at the Foot Clan and its members. It follows the budding friendship and romance btween our Fearless Leader Leonardo and a Foot Soldier called Dusty. There's also a little potential romance between Donatello and Dusty's best friend Faith. My latest story is Donatello's Clan. Its a story about Donnie, and his lifelong drive to have a family of his own someday. He helps a stranded divorcee who has lost everything trying to help her sister's dream. There's some surprises in this one, and I've been doing quite a lot of ninjutsu research for this story, and you'll be happy I hope with the little gems of ninjutsu wisdom I've gathered for your reading pleasure. Disclaimer: I don't own TMNT or anyone else you recognise. I write for fun. Please don't sue, as I have no money! If I had money I would own the TMNT! I do own my OC's so let me know if you want to borrow any of them ;) My stories are completely fictional, as resemblence to persons living or dead is conincidental. Some stories obviously take from my own experiences and the research I have done on various subjects, but the goal of my writing is to create quality fictional characters for my readers to love (or hate!). |
