This was very beautifully written. There's not really much else to say. It's a great story of the inner workings of characters, and you captured it very well. Thanks for the insight

Hah, ya know, I always knew I was a lot like Donatello, and I just keep getting proved right. I tend to be a puzzle too. In fact, one of my college professors has complained on multiple occasions of the vague answers I give to his subjective questions. He actually asked another student if I'd been teaching them to say things without really saying much. XD

Enough about me, though. This was really interesting with the way we didn't quite know what happened to cause Raph to reflect on the personalities of his brothers, at least until the end. And the depictions of those varying personalities is spot on. I know a lot of people consider Don a very neutral turtle in general, but I think people only assume he's neutral because he holds his cards so close to his chest. He doesn't let anyone in all that frequently, even when he would only be revealing his personality to his brothers. I think that's probably why I don't like the 2012 version of Donnie quite so much: he's too outspoken, and we are aware of more of his opinions on things when we really shouldn't be.

So, what I'm trying to say is that I like your depiction of Don's character, even if it was all through Raph's eyes. It was successful, and I especially liked Raph's last thought on not leaving the puzzle unfinished. :)

This is possibly one of the sweetest Don/Raph stories I have ever read, great job!

Beautiful perspective of Ralph on all the other turtles, especially Donatello. Don is truly an enigma, being the genius and pacific turtle. He can be so unpredictable, taking the bullet for Ralph and beating up those thugs. Which is why I love him so much.

What an excellent story. Your attention to detail about how everyone thinks is great. I honestly hadn't thought about Raph seeing the grey areas like you said, but after reading this I sure can. Now I'm going to read the sequel to this. _
