Apriltello awesomeness at its best! YAY! You did a wonderful job describing April's pain and her emotions. I also like the segments of memories popping in. That's a nice effect to get an idea of what happened.

Awesome ending to this one. Yes, I can see that conflict in Donnie about not being able to give her the life she wants and deserves. But I love how he contemplates that, thinks about it, and then is just like, "Aw, what the heck? I should just go for it." And then he does. Nicely done on this. I loved it.

You captured the tender and raw emotions perfectly and made it believable and real.

It's no secret that I am a sucker for Apriltello. This is the type of story that I really enjoy reading. Donnie really is the perfect guy. In my mind, he is the benchmark by which all other guys should measure themselves... and the fact that he is so humble and grounded despite being so absolutely incredible makes him even better. For him to come to a point where what he wants is in reach? Well, that is just great to read. And the section you added where he is prepared to allow April to go her own way because he fears he'd hold her back? That is even more believable. I can just seem him making that tough call.

Fortunately, April is extraordinary in her own right and determined to get what she desires most. That she refuses to back down shows how much she loves him and cares. I really liked this piece and enjoyed it not only for its ploty, but also for its descriptive style and imagery. Nice work, there!

I don't think a naked April would deter Raphael! :) Very sweet story. I like how it takes April a near death experience to realize her underlying love for Donatello. I also like how you found so many ways to eloquently describe blood flowing down the drain. Great story!
