![]() Author has written 18 stories for NCIS, CSI: New York, and Emergency. For those who are curious: I'm probably older than most who are on here but that's about all the personal info you are going to get. I generally write in only one fandom at a time. Currently it's NCIS but in the past I've written Emergency! & original Hawaii Five 0 fic. Emergency! was my first ever try at fan fic & how I discovered the stuff existed in the first place. Gradually I moved from E! to Five0. Wrote it for several years before NCIS caught my attention. For those who are curious, here's a link to my Five0 stuff:http:///AS_Page.html and if you go to the holiday page of that website you'll find a few more. None of my Five0 stuff is posted here. Just like all of my Emergency stuff is posted at WWOMB. I've really been enjoying the latest season of NCIS (season 11). Yet I still find myself writing in the past seasons & have even found myself searching out stories where the main characters are Tony & Kate. Not sure what'll become of that. So...I've written fanfic in various fandoms for well over a decade now & read them for much longer. I don't pretend to know it all - no one does but... If you're going to put your stuff out there, be prepared to have people not like it & to offer opinions on it. Take it one step further & take away reasons for the criticism. Have your fic beta'd & get a beta who isn't a friend but who knows the fandom you are writing in. Take what they say seriously. & an honest effort to learn what makes the characters tick. If the character doesn't show emotion on the show or in the movie, then please don't turn them into tearful, blubbering idiots. There's a big difference between a strong character who can express emotions and one who bursts into tears over every crisis. Thank you... *Special note to any ziva and tiva fanfic writers in the NCIS fandom...some extremely gutless person is leaving anonymous reviews using my user name on your stories. Please know this - If I'm going to review your story, I'm going to do it SIGNED IN. Period - no IFS, ANDS OR BUTS. I NEVER leave anonymous reviews anywhere... |
