I texted CBS to tell them how disgusted I was w the way Gibbs was treating Tony; they never replied. I hated Gibbs in MWs final year on NCIS. You nailed it !

sayin', NCIS is not enjoyable any more. NCIS writers want dejection as to show favorite character can change. I don't blame Gibbs, I only blame NCIS writers forgetting someone's feelings as to say with Zoe won't work, with Gibbs won't work, I'm not enjoying to see shellshocked Tony.
I hate his luck around people. Bad luck should end.

I see that other reviewers have asked you to continue, and although I'd love to hear what Abby has to say for herself, I appreciate that it's difficult to continue because the show's giving us no clues. (Had to leave a story of my own with a hanging ending the other day for that reason. Who the heck knows what's going on in Gibbs' mind?)
I've only seen the first maybe 9 eps, so I don't know how things are now, but in those eps, there was no excuse for Gibbs' cruelty - you don't treat ANYONE like that, let alone someone who was your friend and right hand for so long. I saw that horrible stare that you described so well as 'why are you wasting my time?' in the first ep of the season and thought 'WTF'...
Are you seeing a supportive Tim in canon, or is it something you hope for? As I say, I've not seen so many eps yet, but I really hope for Tim to be a real friend, as he was in 'Saviors'; Tony really needs one right now.
Anyhoos, I loved the story; the terrible sense of desolation, and the pragmatism and courage with which you have Tony regarding his future made me want to weep.

I thought this story was very good. I would love it, if you would write a sequel, maybe with Gibbs thoughts, and then how Tony and Gibbs get together at the end, as I love happy endings. Thank you.

This was very good - I like introspective stories in which we eavesdrop on the inner thoughts of characters. I hope Tim stepped up when Tony finally decided it was time to talk to him.

Another plausible well written story of why Gibbs is being such a d**k to Tony, i really enjoyed it and read it with tears in my eyes, i hope you write a sequel so we know where Tony finally ends up.

Great start! Tony's not dumb, it's just that he'll take a lot of mistreatment before being willing to give up on people he cares for/admires.

Glad that McGee is there for him to bounce ideas off of and get good advice from.

Oh this feels so very real to canon and it just breaks my heart. I'm afraid my eyes were glistening a bit at Tony's dejection and rejection by someone he's given so much of himself and his loyalty to and for over the years. And for the hurt inflicted by Abby's unforgivable tunnel-vision. Looking forward to your insights.
