To shut out the people who care about him? He's not even enigmatic - his life is totally about his work. His he's made absolutely NO progress in moving on from a life that ended nearly a quarter century ago. Seems to me he's just waiting for the next time some bad guy or woman or kid puts a bullet in him. Sorry, delved off into the "canon" world. And the way Taft just catches on and calls Gibbs out on it was great! I like the part about why Gibbs fought to come back. Its so true! I love that Tony never even stopped him or thought about it. I wish I had detailed dreams like Gibbs seems to ;) And Abby! Oh so perfect! I like how the morning after talk was short and simple to get to more important matters at hand!
