Long Live BRUCAS chapter 4 . 1/3/2012
Two more bombs went off and there was screaming. The officers' tent had taken a hit and with no one else around to do so Tony immediately took charge, directing soldiers to put out flames and move the injured to the medical tent. The soldiers, even those who still seemed frightened, rushed to do as instructed and helping them carry the injured. Go Tony I thought he was supposed to be with trained soldiers. He was showing therm up and hes only an ex cop/NCIS agent. And he was leading the attack at the gate. Again GO Tony. Show them what you know and can do.

Wow Agent Jardine the germ a phobic knows field training and stitched up Tony.

So thank you Mr Secretary, but no thank you. I can't accept this award. So like Tony he does his job for the people to protect them not the glory.
Lizabeth S. Tucker chapter 4 . 2/13/2009
It's always nice to see a Tony-centric story that has him competently in charge. The basic storyline was interesting as well.

While I have a few quibbles about there being no one to take over and the way the military men were portrayed, this is something that was essential to your basic premise of Tony being in charge, so I will be glad to ignore said quibbles.

Hello

First off I am not trying to flame I mean for this to be constuctive. When you write about anything military or medical it helps if you have some backround in those things. If you don't RESEARCH, RESEARCH, RESEARCH.

A special agent would not even be in the chain of command. Not even if all the officers were dead. American military along with your own has NCO's. Noncommissioned officers. They don't sleep or ascociate with comissioned officers. (I meant same tent, but there are frat regs too.) NCO's Would be telling lower rankong soldiers what to do. They are leaders. In fact some ways more than officers.

Secondly you wouldn't put a turnicut on your arm unless circumstances were dire. (Your arm was blown off.) You would use a pressure dressing. The wound would never be stiched closed in the field.

Third your story stated that the Marine (I took this as the same one that damaged the gate and let in the attackers?) was free to help patients. Is that right? Why?

Evac would be done by helicopter to a rear stationing area. (Within a 100-200 mile radius at the most.) Why would Ducky stich him up. He was in the US. That's a 12 hour flight by jet. It's very difficult to sleep on military aircraft. The seating is at a 90 degree angle.

DiNozzo would also have no part in TRIAGING patients. He's not a medic or nurse or EMT. He's not a god he can't do everything. Don't make him. Give those roles to appriate characters.

I hope this doesn't sound mean I don't mean it to be so. If you have questions feel free to ask.

I haven't written anything for a long time due to my muse revolting. I do however have a pile of useless info in my head if you want a Beta.

Marsha

I am currently a Registered Nurse with a backround in aviation electronics. I used to fix Army helicopters.

Great story and a great ending.

I think you captured (with Tony & Gibbs) what some Vets feel.(at least from my own perspective)I had a Uncle that survived Pearl Harbor but I never even knew about it until after his death, my Aunt said he felt he was just doing his duty.

I understand what Tony feels, I didn't know until I was grown that my Grandfather had won an honorable medal in WWI. He never talked about his medal; and he refused to take the tax break our county offered to veterans, saying there were others who needed it more.

jojocat chapter 3 . 8/1/2008
Very nice job. You built up the tension nicely during the attacks and then to the personal attack on Tony.
lillinfields chapter 2 . 7/31/2008
Oh thank you for the update...I'm enjoying the story so far, I really like Tony's development and the role he's taken on. When that episode aired I always thought that things just went to easy...b/c as much as we love Tony his luck in matters like that just sucks so I am most def looking forward to reading more of this fic.
