Poll: Genre of Cloud's Mother from the Experiment Series - Mako Toddler Vote Now!
|
Author has written 47 stories for Naruto, Vampire Knight, Bleach, Final Fantasy VII, Batman, Batman Beyond, Star Wars, and Final Fantasy X-2. Writing has taken an unprecedented backseat at the moment. Please understand that grief, tragedy, and anger can really destroy any motivation to write. Delays in writing and updates: It is inevitable that life will keep me from getting to new chapters as quickly as I would like. Please, be patient. I'm trying to increase the frequency of updates to every couple of weeks instead of every three months. Current works: Tinkering with the Bat-tech - Chapter 16 is pending 1500 words before completion due to character re-focusing. Other chapters have been outlined, but may experience the same delays. Words of advice: Writing is never harder then what you make it. Remember, simplicity is going to be your best friend but don't forget to use the spell checker! Especially if you lack the wonderful people known as BETA! Which I now have. :p Beta-Style: Proofreader and Plotting Specialist Weekly Word: Confidence, Determination, RESEARCH, Challenge, Imagination, Experiment My Personal Dare: Write something you don't know and see where it can take you. (Research, research, re-write) How do I feel about reviews?: I LOVE REVIEWS! Writing Style: I write in the third person, often using canon pairings or trying to stay as true as I can while bending the storyline to meet AU standards. I will occasionally write something in the first person. Some of my favorite pairings are pretty normal, though I find high drama couples amusing. I'm trying to write new and interesting things by using characters I really don't like. Some of these are actually the more popular ones. There is a challenge to it and it's more fun than sticking to the characters I do like. Kind of odd, no? I like characters with tempers, though the easier ones would be characters like Cloud from FF7 or Sesshomaru from IY. I'm more of a fan for Angst but love happy endings. Trying to remember to keep from overextending is kind of hard. Especially when you like all sorts of characters. I don't like bash fics. Won't like 'em, won't read 'em. If I pick on one character or another, it's got to do with the plot. Always with the plot. I try to keep from using to much fluff, but I'm a romantic, so tuff. Favored Series: Anime: InuYasha, Boruto, Sailor Moon, Ranma, Naruto, D.N.Angel, Tokyo Ghoul (says the vegetarian), Games: Final Fantasy 7, Final Fantasy 8, Final Fantasy 10/10-2, Final Fantasy 12, Pokemon, Sims TV Shows: House M.D., Supernatural, SG-1/A, Star Trek TNG/TOS/VOY, Batman! Books: Dragon Riders of Pern, Heralds of Valdemar, Dark-Hunter Series, Carpathian Series, Catherine Coulter, Stephanie Laurens, Fav Pairings: While I'm mostly a canon follower, I do like original ideas. I do not read nor write M rated romance fics. Cliche's can actually lead to some fun plots when you combine them with fandom pairings. Fav Genres': Drama, Angst, Humor, Adventure, General, Romance - I like happy endings that aren't corny. Sometimes, it's just one of the things I enjoy the most out of reading and writing. I'm becoming interested in the mystery stuff. Can You Convince Me Challenge: There are a number of characters I just cannot stand. I write them, use them, but I just don't like them. Thing is, I'm wondering if there is an author who can convince me to actually like those characters. I'm looking for fics that support this idea-challenge. Series: Experiment - Family (pending plot developments, completed) Experiment - Family Alternate Development (continued from the original storyline, completed) Experiment - The Mako Toddler Experiment - Hero (pending edit work, mostly completed) Experiment - Socialization Experiment AU - Precious Specimen, not in the same universe, but related plots Battech - Tinkering with the Battech - Terry goes back in time. Battech - All the things that could, would - Side pieces that don't fit into the actual story. These are all adoptable plots, but please let me know which chapter influenced your work. Pending Rewrites: Save the Day - Many things are wrong with this story. It's the largest re-write happening. Circle - Many things need to be re-examined. It's had the least progress made. Incredulous - Uhm... yeah, it just needs a lot of clean up. Priorities - (my pet project of the month) This fic is probably the one in need of actual plot and clean up. Several comparison scenes have been written and once I am happy with the structure of chapter one, I'll get it posted. Hopefully with five times the original amount of words. :) Other assorted projects - Finishing some batman one-shots and mini-crossovers. Notice of Delays : I have had several misfortunes in the last couple years. I am trying, but to be honest I doubt if I will be able to resume writing at this time. |
