Still such a wonderful story. Definitely one of those that you read again in a year or two and keep in your memories forever.

Question: do you ever bring back Kichiruka in any of your other stories? Amazing story and character creation by the way. So looking forward to keep reading. With all the talk of Corona Virus and the lock down of my country, life has been a little boring to say the least. So this story has really brightened my time right now. Thank you for all the hard work and beautiful story telling.

I loved this story. (I know its a few years old, oops!)

For whatever it's worth, I thought I'd put in my two cents. I've loved the idea of Sess/Rin since I was... Oh, I don't know, 10? (I'm 27 now T.T) While many love that pairing, many also don't. I guess I'm one of the very few who don't really care either way- I just find Rin's character to be intriguing. With her dark past as an orphan, dying and being resurrected by one of the most powerful yokai in the Inuyasha world twice, and then following said demon across Nippon before returning to a human village. All before she's 9! What a great set up for an awesome future character! It leaves so many possibilities for her future, and that's why I love Rin. The others have their stories pretty much told for us, so at the end of the series we are left wondering... what will one day become of little Rin? Rumiko gives us enough information about Rin to make us love her, but leaves us with little enough that we are begging for more- forcing us to conjure up our own stories of what will eventually become of the little undead girl. I typically put her with Sesshomaru because, well... he's hot?

All that being said, I also enjoy reading about the two of them having a caring/platonic relationship, while Rin discovers herself with other OC characters. I myself picture Rin going through a confusing time as a tween/teen, having known people who experienced trauma as a child. That's typically what happens. At some point it'll all hit you- you may even go through a phase of feeling cheated and even start to act out to get the attention you've been denied. Now I'm just getting off topic...

ANYWHO, I totally agree with you that I don't think Rin would end up with Kohaku. It's just too... easy? I wouldn't have a problem with it, necessarily, but it's just so vanilla. Plus, Kohaku is so traumatized by his past, I almost doubt that he'd ever even want to start his own family. He seems like someone who grow up to be a rogue drifter. Then again, even Rin, if faced with the option of 'Follow Sesshomaru' or 'settle down', I almost think she'd choose to sacrifice a normal life to be on the road with the demons- not even necessarily because she's 'in love' with Sesshomaru, but just because Rin's too wild spirited for a normal human life. Living on the streets as an orphan, dying twice, and following a power demon lord through the forest for a year is bound to make you a little feral.

If only Rumiko would give us a flash forward chapter of 10 years! But, alas, that'll probably never happen T.T Plus, maybe we don't want it to... It'll ruin all of our fun Rin 'speculations'. In any case, I always enjoy your stories. You give a fresh insight every time! Keep it up!
