I know, it's been forever since I updated. No fears, though. I'm currently signed up for half a metric ton of fic writing challenges over at LiveJournal, so expect lots of Supernatural pieces soon! I also have two WIPs, one Dean/Cas mpreg and one angsty Dean/Cas, plus a few others ideas that have been percolating and just won't leave me alone. One of these days I'll just sit down and write them all out so you lovely readers can see them!

MY SO-CALLED LIFE: About Me

I'm a 19-year-old college girl majoring in creative writing. I live in a small town in Wisconsin and want to become a professional writer someday. One loony dog, two (usually) likeable siblings, a divorced family, and a stepdad - just the usual.

I'd been writing for a few years already when in 2005 I stumbled upon a blog about someone's NaNoWriMo progress. I thought it sounded interesting, so I ran to check it out. I've been obsessed ever since, and I scored wins in both '06 and '07 both with exactly 50,036 words each time (an auspicious number, methinks). I'm editing and posting them chapter by chapter at my FictionPress account if you want to check them out. I also did just over 21k in the inaugural Script Frenzy in 2008. FANNISH OBSESSIONS: My Fandoms

Supernatural - Though I've written for many different fandoms and still participate in several of them, I mainly stick to writing fic for one or two. My current obsession and the one that will be sticking with me for the forseeable future is the amazingly amazing Supernatural.

Favorite Character: Dean
(I'm an unrepentant Dean!girl. That's me, always drawn to the angsty characters, and the poor guy has so much!

Least Favorite Character: Jo
(I know, you shouldn't speak ill of the dead and all that, but whatever. I never really felt anything toward her except the nearly irresistable urge to tear my hair out when contemplating her paired with Dean. Also, Anna.)

OTP: Dean/Castiel
(I'm a bit crazy about the two of them, really. Because they so belong with each other. Dean needs some happiness in his life, and Cas needs need to show him what's what about being a human. I just love love love them.

OTP2: Sam/Dean
(Yeah, I know it's huge in the fandom and nothing to be ashamed of, really, but I still have to laugh when I think about it. Before SPN devoured my life, I never would have even considered an incest pairing. Fandom is crazy like that. Anyway, yeah, they just fit. And they're so codependent already, that a little more love can't hurt. This was my ultimate OTP before I reached Season 4 and fell hard for Dean/Cas, but I still love it!)

(Yeah, again with the incest. Oh, me... Also, Sam needs an angel, too, and occasionally he borrows Dean's. And I love me some angelcest. If anyone can rec Castiel/Gabriel stories, I would be forever grateful.)

READ 'EM AND WEEP: My Stories

You'll mostly see me doing oneshots, drabbles, and other short ficlets. I have a hard time finishing anything over a few chapters long, though I'm trying to get better at this. My most-frequented genres are angst and hurt/comfort. H/C gives me the warm fuzzies.

GO AFTER INSPIRATION WITH A CLUB: Give This A Try

I first heard about the iTunes Challenge from from PellMell, and it's since become my absolute favorite. It's good for a quick write when the writer's block hits, and I've already done it four times (three are posted, and the next is coming soon). To give it a try yourself, follow these simple instructions:

1. Pick a character, pairing, or fandom you like.
2. Turn on your iPod and put it on shuffle.
3. Write a ficlet related to each song that plays. You only have the time frame of the song to finish the drabble; you start when the song starts and stop when it’s over.
4. Do ten, then post them.

Voila, you have now completed the iTunes Challenge! :D

I am the girl ... that doesn't go to school dances, and when I do go, I sit in a corner and read a book. I am the girl that people look through when I say something. I am the girl that spends most of her free time reading, writing, or doing other activities that most teenagers wouldn't call normal.
